You know what guys, this might not be Donkey Kong at all. Why would they say "Previously announced Wii U title", it makes it sound like something they announced but haven't put much information out yet. Why not just say "More information on Donkey Kong"? It wouldn't make much sense to keep a new video on Donkey Kong a secret when we already know it's coming out in Feb. It'd make much more sense for it to be a reveal date for Mario Kart or Smash Bros.

All good and reasonable points. Thing is, folks here don't much like reasonable. It's quite a bit easier to begin the manufactured disappointment as soon as possible and then have the pleasure of saying "told you so."

My main fear is that, if by some devil of a chance it turns out not to be about Cranky
Kong, people will learn nothing from this thread.

I am genuinely surprised that there isn't a modern Nintendo cartoon show.
I think that a Smash Bros type cartoon would be amazing. Just do lots of crossovers.

I was going to say the Kirby cartoon was relatively recent but that was apparently at the beginning of the millennium. A cartoon would be very beneficial to reaching kids. I think the main reason Nintendo doesn't do it is their desire not to have the characters talk. Mario doesn't even have lines in the RPG's. You could Kirby silent in the cartoon fine but it would be really odd for Mario to be silent when even Luigi can talk.
