Has anyone ordered their 64 gig memory card from Nippon-Yasan.com? I just stumbled upon the site and the price seems ok, Fedex shipping included. As the 32 gigger goes for 60€ in Finland.

http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en...9-sony-playstation-vita-memory-card-64gb.html

It's just that the site bounced up from nowhere and I have rather mixed experiences with importing from Jp.

So, anyone who has bought anything from them? How'd it go?
Half a dozen of us had ordered from there and got them without a hitch. I should get mine by this coming weekend if I'm lucky @_@

Since everyone and their mother seems like they've gotten a Vita recently, myself included, anyone feel like throwing out a list of their must have games for it?

Preferably games that are exclusive or best played on vita (psp/ps1 games included) as opposed to ps3/ps4.

I think there are about 70 of these lists if you comb through previous pages of this very thread. :)

Quick question guys! I'm on the mood of playing a classic jrpg...but I'm between FFIX and Legend of Dragoon....

I completed FFIX when it was released so I don't remember barely anything...

Legend of Dragoon wasn't ever good.
Go with FFIX. It's a classic JRPG. :)

I ordered my 64GB using paypal. I paid for Fedex, and it took 5 days to arrive and I didn't get charged Tax as it was labelled as gift. Was given a tracking number and was very happy with the service. I know others in the thread have had varying experiences, but mainly they seem positive.

E: In UK here, card works great, no problems.

Alright, seems like I'll get me a early Christmas present! Which shipping method did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh, and these 64 giggers are supported with the EU Vita's firmware?

Hmm, thanks for the information. Nice to know that it's possible to avoid taxes too, haha!

There's a bunch of lists around but I'll give you a quick few;

Gravity Rush
Wipeout 2048 + HD/Fury
Tearaway
Killzone Mercenary
LBP Vita
Soul Sacrifice
Super Stardust Delta
Velocity Ultra (coming to PS3 but it will play better with touch screen functionality)
Spelunky (now best played on because of daily challenge addition)
Hotline Miami (best played on because of touch functionality)
Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (PSP if in US)
Super Crate Box (PSM)

Guacamelee, Sound Shapes and a PlayStation Plus subscription are all you need. Well, for now anyway :).

You will find a few pretty extensive lists in the past 10 - 15 pages of this very thread. As for PS1 games, ALL of them play best on Vita. #truthfact

Wow! I thought Legend of Dragoon was top-tier.

I was thinking this as well. I'm torn between this one and Xenogears for my next PS classic.

Awwwwww. I thought everyone enjoyed making lists of their favorite things.

He's right, but I'll do it anyway.

  • Tearaway - Made by the Media Molecule guys (Littlebigplanet) and probably one of the most creative and fun games I've played in a long while.
  • Guacamelee (PSN) - A great Metroidvania style game with a Mexican Luchador styling. Also has a fun brawler-esque combat system. Great fun.
  • Killzone Mercenary - Amazingly impressive FPS and a damn fun one as well. Plays a lot more openly than most of the Killzone games (except arguably Shadowfall, and even then), and has pretty great single-player replay value. Excellent multiplayer as well that uses lots of neat weapons and items.
  • LBP Vita - Probably the strongest LBP story mode and all of the create features from LBP2 plus more. Online userbase is a little weak these days, but it's honestly not that big an issue.
  • Soul Sacrifice - A very cool, dark take on the "hunting" genre; SS uses lots of spells and transformation abilities that make the combat very unique and satisifying. Be aware that the online base is very much geared towards the higher level players at this point, however.
  • Gravity Rush - An open-world superhero (kinda) game where you have the ability to control gravity. Get it.
  • Wipeout 2048 (Plus HD and Fury DLCs) - The best racer on the system
    imo
; lots of anti-gravity racing at crazy speeds. Plus you can get the full version of the PS3 game and expansion as DLC. It's gorgeous, too.
  • Uncharted - While not quite as bombastic as the later console iterations, it's still a blast. Quite a looker if you can get over the sub-native resolution and a fun adventure as well.
  • Lumines Electronic Symphony - Awesome puzzle game with a wonderful soundtrack. A great game to just zone out to.
  • Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker (PSP) - Superb portable MGS; probably the most "gamey" iteration of the series in a long time, and has a tremendous amount of meat on its bones. An insta-buy if you like the series.
  • Wipeout Pure/Pulse (PSP) - More Wipeout, but it's so good :)
  • Velocity Ultra (PSN) - A great top-down shooter with a few amazing gameplay twists like teleportation.
  • Super Stardust Delta (PSN) - A wonderful shooter in the vein of a modern Asteroids. Beautiful to look at and addictive to play.
[*]Resistance: Burning Skies - I don't find it nearly as bad as everyone else does. Proceed at your own risk.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but hopefully that gives you a good start.

I've been playing Assassin's Creed IV through remote play the last couple of days. The game looks gorgeous on dat OLED and because they modified the controls it plays well too. I'm truly impressed with this feature. There's some noticeable compression but nothing too bad and because the game is 30 fps anyway, the remote play cap doesn't matter.
Still can't get Warframe to work though, maybe you need to complete the tutorial with a normal controller or something.

Wow! I thought Legend of Dragoon was top-tier.

You thought wrong. ;)

Awwwwww. I thought everyone enjoyed making lists of their favorite things.

My ctrl+f is the ctrl+f that will pierce the heavens...and this thread.

Hahaha.

Don't mind my crankiness. I just get tired of this thread being the Vita themed version of Groundhog Day. I am NOT Bill Murray.

PS1/PSP/Vita, huh?

But just for you, I'm making an exception:

PSOne
Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9
Alundra
Tomba!
Klonoa
Symphony of the Night

PSP
Dracula X Chronicles
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max
Darkstalkers Chaos Tower
Ultimate Ghouls 'N Ghosts
Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded, Remixed
Gurumin
Cho Aniki
Strikers 1945 Plus
Any of the Ys titles (if you don't have Steam/PC)
Corpse Party 1 & 2
Final Fantasy IV Complete
Dissidia 012
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
P3P and any number of Atlus RPGs
(There's probably more)

Vita
Gravity Rush
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
WipEout 2048
Unit 13
Hotline Miami
Spelunky
Stealth Inc.
Ys Memories of Celceta
Stick it to the Man
Rayman Legends
Persona 4 Golden
Tearaway
Soul Sacrifice
Dragon's Crown
Muramasa
Killzone Mercenary
Little Big Planet Vita
Super Stardust Delta
Lumines
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Sine Mora
Guacamelee
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack

And many more.

Legend of Dragoon's status as a PS1 classic is interesting. It was a punchline when it came out.

*HIGH-FIVE*
I'm not sure how the hell it became so... beloved.
I've told this story, but my friend was way into JRPGs (more than I was) and forced it on me when I left for my co-op assignment. I kept trying to play it, but the lag when attempting to "combo" in the attacks was so bad that I couldn't get more than 1 extra hit. And the boss I was on required it pretty much. At some point, I went back and just ground levels for hours after work for 2 weeks... I then destroyed the rest of the game, wonky combat system be damned. Terrible.

Ye, Remote Play is awesome. I wish the controls could be modified on a system level though. Using the touch screen to crouch and slide in Ghosts is not fun.

Soul Sacrifice
Hotline Miami
Persona 4 Golden
Stardust HD
Killzone Mercenary
Mutant Blobs Attack
Tearaway
Gravity Rush
Metal gear solid selection
Little big planet vita (don't like lbp but this one was good)
Dead or Alive 5 (next time it's on sale)
Spelunky for $4!!!
Guacamelee(if you're ok with being pissed at some points)
I personally liked mod nation racers, but at this point Sonic All Stars is probably worth your money more.

Is this any good? I've heard lots of great things about it and I get a definite Psychonauts vibe from the artstyle.

It's a good adventure platformer game. Simple, yet entertaining, and its a perfect fit for the Vita. It can work as your 'take a break from main game' game.
Def. get it if you like adventure games, and twisted looking saturday morning cartoons.

Hmm, thanks for the information. Nice to know that it's possible to avoid taxes too, haha!

I'm using the EMS Japan 2-3 day delivery service, but others option might be more suitable for you.

For anyone curious the JP PSN will be down or more like is down from

0130 till 0900.

So got about a little more than an hour and a half more till it can be accessed again if all goes according to schedule.

I started playing Tearaway last night and it's eff'ing BRILLIANT!

Such a refreshing change of pace and something that is truly unique to the Vita. Love it!

So... are we ever gonna see Gran Turismo or God of War on the Vita? The chances don't look good.
IMO, some of that 1st-party last year efforts should have been diverted to the Vita, especially Ascension...

The God of War HD collection is coming, so there's that, but I wouldn't expect an original title anytime soon

Hi guys!
What do you think about Guacamele DLC "El Diablo's Domain". Is it worth it?

Anything Drinkbox puts out is worth it. You should buy it without asking questions.

There's no real story. But if you want some challenging... uh... challenges... it's worth the $3 for sure.

Aye, that'd be great. I could see them adding it in a firmware update or something.

Another convert to the cause! I want more games like this.

Hi guys!

I bought it and liked it. It's basically just a set of challenge rooms so if you like Guacamelee's gameplay you can't go wrong with this.

That's weird. Put my Vita away with half charge, take it out of its case 3 hours later, dead. Flashing orange light. It should have gone into standby when I put it away.

I'm somewhat excited for Doki Doki Universe, even though I'm still unclear on how the game will unfold. Anybody else going for a day one buy?

Wow, I don't know how or why, but my 16GB Vita card sold already on Amazon. My used 16GB card was listed for $2 more than Amazon's current brand new price...and someone bought it lol

So the 32GB card from gamestop cost me a grand total of $8 after selling fees and shipping

You got $40 for it? ( ゚Д゚)

I'm conflicted on whether or not to sell the one I upgraded from or to keep it around for when I pick up a Vita TV at some point haha.

lol someone spent $39.98 for my used card and I have no idea why. Maybe they didn't factor in shipping before they clicked "Buy." I didn't think it would sell for a little while because I priced it to be competitive only when Amazon raised the price back up.

After reading the new 20th anniversary DOOM thread, I realized what an amazing fit the original and DOOM 2 would be on the VITA.

Came out on PS3, so I'm holding out a bit of hope. :)

Anyone have the Spelunky file size? I didn't really care much for the demo but I'll totally grab it at that price once my $10 credit comes in.

Has anyone been having freezing/crashing issues with Killzone?

I'm on the very last level, and every time that I die from getting stomped by the two Helghast in heavy armor, this damn game freezes up at the black transition screen, and then I have to restart the level. I'm about to lose my shit over this from frustration.

Edit: Looks like Sony just pushed a firmware update, perhaps that was causing the issues.
