I'd be a bit disappointed if they don't at least have Cranky as an Assist Trophy. Honestly, that's where I see a lot of characters from the franchises going.
If Sakurai confirms Geno as an assist trophy..oh god the internet would implode
I have a unsettling feeling we may not get "new" characters from any current franchise reps, only new characters from series that don't have them yet (ie, Animal Crossing which resulted in us getting Villager) That unfortunately also disregards Waluigi from joining. ;___;

A flying fighter would be really cool. Can't really think of a deserving Nintendo character that flies though.

He's a clone of Pit and fights exactly the same way but has a different colored final smash.

Hawlucha would be amazing but I don't think they'd do it. Mewtwo would be perfect if they brought him back and gave him more flight power.

Actually, on the topic of Slowpoke, it would be much better and more comical if he replaced that goddamn Goldeen, but still did nothing or maybe performs some move after spending a long time time thinking about it - a move that isn't amnesia =)
Hmm. Never played KIU (yet) but Dark Pit has feet he can run on. Hawlucha can't even compete in air battles, lol.
What I mean is like if there was a Pokémon Trainer 2 and he had Noivern or something, that just flapped his wings al the time. Would be neat.
A flying character. Compensate for the insane mobility by giving it no mid-range or longer attacks and low weight.

3DS Miiverse supports 3D images.
