Just to check, but an NNID can only be registered to one Wii U and one 3DS at a time, right?
I.e. if I have a 2DS and 3DS, my 2DS would need to have another NNID if I have my Wii U one linked to my 3DS?

It's actually satisfyingly fast for me. I was expecting a situation like the awful 3DS Internet Browser.
at least they could scan for your friend code friends NNID and let you add them on miiverse automatically

Not necessarily. Games would still be given Friend Codes to work with, it's just that you would associate your 3DS FC with a NNID and the console is in charge of translating it. After all the join online party from friend list feature came from an update that must've required rewrite on that end and it works fine./
Yes just 1 Wii U + 1 3DS at a time per NNID. Just 1 NNID on a 3DS. Multiple NNIDs possible on Wii U.

It boggles me how we still don't have eShop gifting when the Wii had it years back!
Using the SHIFT key causes some symbols to change.

As long as Miiverse is optional,not every 3DS will be linked to a NNID. => Friends codes are here to stay.
However what could happen if Nintendo was competent is to have the Miiverse friend list duplicating the whole 3DS friend list so that a 3DS with Miiverse would only have to use Miiverse to manage friends. Using NNID to identify friends with Miiverse or Friend codes for friends without Miiverse. Because 1 NNID = 1 3DS friend code, a database link could be done very easily when inputing a friend's NNID.
But eh, Nintendo.

I have not been able to access the 3DS eShop since the update, anyone else having the same problem? Wii U eShop is fine so it's not my connection. 3DS Miiverse works great, everything else works fine as well.....but the eShop is a no go for me. I'll will report back in a few hours to let you guys know if it is still a problem.

Not for me. In order to be something I use with ease on a daily basis it should be as fast to browse and post as any smart phone app is. Obviously the 3ds is built differently but the loading between screens just slows things down just enough to be intrusive.

Bad idea I think. Given the sizable difference in userbase/sales, Wara Wara would quickly be nothing but 3DS games. Not exactly what a Wii U owner wants to see.

Slow, but the servers are up. You may experience connection drop though due to the amount of people trying to connect.

On the Wii u the places to check out art are the YouTube and Art Academy miiverses. I don't follow specific people but those two feeds usually have some impressive drawings.
I imagine the 3ds will have similar results.
I can see why they don't get rid of FCs but this is pretty dumb, yea. Maybe they hate the 3DS hardware capabilities now and want to keep it as little involved as possible.

I don't thing people wanted a removal but rather a NNID x= FC y so typing either will get you it.
A problem of merging both lists is the 100 limit. Which my only solution is some sort of friend manager so you can have 100 loaded at once then a load in standby (maybe substitute offline ones or something).
Is the eShop up? I would imagine the data it needs to download is stored there. Just leave it a day
apparently it does nothing. some speculate something to do with NNID and buying DLC but that would be the case for any game that has DLC

You may have issues if you're using Gateway and other 3DS homebrew stuff, but that's with every update.

I don't mind that the Miiverse takes a while to load, but I wish they wouldn't give a sound effect to it! "wuwuwuwuwuw" jesus can you imagine if your browser on the PC did that?
