I'm getting really addicted to Rainbow Moon, great port of a good game.

I got a 14 day Plus trial with GT6, anyone in here interested in that? It's for Europe.

Speaking of GT6, there will definitely, 100% be a GT for Vita at some point, right? Right? Surely all Playstation consoles need a Gran Turismo game

Sure it will. In five years. At least.

Sure, but it took 4 years for the PS3 to get one, and 5 years for the PSP.

I just had my review posted on Gaming Age. I'd share a link, but I can't access it on my phone. Short version, though: one of the cutest, happiest games I've ever played. Not at Tearaway level, but still pretty amazing.

Nice review man. Overall the mixed reviews have me a little worried, but I think I will get it anyway for some laid back fun.

I never found a case that would fit with the grips attached. I did find this, though. it's a Pelican 1170.

So, I got one and did it.

Not gonna lie, I'll probably buy one by the end of the day and do that as well.

Yea it is a little tough, the controls of mgs3d on the 3dd is the best controlling MGS3 version out there.

On topic though, how does the reassignment of the face buttons to analog work? Is it pretty stable? I keep debating on debuting PW after having it in psp while I wait for GZ.

Choose the "Shooter Controls" and map the camera to the right stick... works very, very well and makes a clunky PSP experience infinitely more playable.

Ok I need one, currently I have a 7" soft pocket for tablets on the way from Amazon, which I heard fits the Vita with grips nicely. But can I ask, did you have to cut the foam yourself?

No, I didn't have to cut the foam. The foam is perforated in 1/4 inch squares and you just pull them out as needed. Real easy.

All UMVC3 DLC is on 50% sale, meaning the 2 characters (Jill and Shuma Gorath) and all alternative costumes.

Gonna buy Jill and Shuma for sure.

Sure, but it took 4 years for the PS3 to get one, and 5 years for the PSP.

But that PSP. a weak hardware compared to PS2. remember that porting to Vita is supposed to be super easy and one of Vita strongest features...or at least this was the premise.

It's not PSP so Vita getting a port or mixed port of GT5/6 and/or GT4 should be easy and cheap.

How the hell would they even fit a GT game on the Vitas tiny cart?

I can 100% confirm that when you buy the Vita version of Spelunky you get the PS3 version for free. The Web Store doesn't mention Cross Buy at all, but the PS3 game is showing in my donwload list. Woohoo!

Tearaway on the PS Vita gets a 10/10 from me. Absolutely brilliant game and just pure fun. Worth buying a Vita just for that. Incredible.

Wish I was playing Sorcery Saga right now, but have to wait a week or so for it to arrive. Sucks that Amazon.ca didn't carry it :(. But oh well, I'm just happy it got localized. Plus I have Rainbow Moon to tide me over.

Terraria tomorrow for EU...don't think I can resist a house building sim. Next week for US iirc.

This 101 app limit is starting to hurt a lot as well. Better finally sort out the other memory card I guess.

Farming Sim is tempting me for some reason too...

That handheld screenshot thread is pretty great - AC even looks pretty tempting.

I edited this out, but first of all, how do you manage to hit the app limit? I have a 64gb card and I'm not even close, I think.

Second, while you could play Terraria as a house building sim, it's really NOT a house building sim. There's bosses and dungeons and stuff.

Is Irem still a thing?

I think so -- not sure why they pulled them all from the storefront though.

*Vitakitten paw bump*

it's handheld game of the year. (sorry Soul Sacrifice/ACNL)

While it's charming, it's nowhere near handheld GOTY for me.
Soul Sacrifice, Killzone: Mercenary, Dragon's Crown, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds rank higher for me.

As consolation, if you've been reading the thread but not posting, you have hopefully seen me recommending Gurumin for you (even though I haven't played through it yet; I did download it on my card with the intention of doing so though.)

Terraria does seem really deep indeed, but it's basically my semi-house building sim, minecraft for the real deal later on :P

I dunno how I hit the limit :( Only recently started getting the notification and now it's a constant thorn. The forced restarts to see content after deleting it also adding insult to injury. Running out of game fodder to feed the vita too :/

If you have enough PSP/indie/PSM games it will fill it up rather quickly, I'm at the page limit myself. Could knock it back to 8 pages if I wanted to condense, but I'd rather have some sort of organisation. I refuse to use folder bubbles because they look awful, I guess that might be needed come mid 2014.

There is that I guess but is that a game I am actually going to properly play or just a cute little experience I might have for a while?

Realistically, the game is 80% creative gameplay and 20% open world style content tourism in a linear game.

All I can say is that it's a game that's incredibly successful at doing what it sets out to do, and the gameplay is fun enough that I've played through it three times already.

Takao's earlier posting reminded me of Danball Senki and the fact that I would probably enjoy it. Anyone want to give some recommendations or impressions of the games? And should you play Boost before playing W or is it not necessary?

I'm enjoying having a J-PSN account on my 2nd Vita now and a Danball Senki game would probably be a good addition at some point.

You are recommending a good game for once will destroy the balance of the universe. j/k

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds rank higher for me.

Was the disappointment of the year for me (well... alongside Batman Blackgate) It was piss easy, very formulaic with nothing new to offer to the Zelda series, boring pacing and it was sin ugly, it honestly feel like a Zelda clone made by some random indie for iOS or android.

I don't use them either, except to hide away all the "system" apps I have no interest in.
I can't bring myself to do it, they just look so bad.

Besides, you gain NOTHING from them other than having less screens. They don't affect the bubble limit in any way.

:shudder: Minecraft... I just don't get it. But hey, if it helps sell Vitas, sure.

I have 55 games installed, with 1 app, and then system level stuff which adds up to 74 bubbles total. I have 3.5gb free out of my 59gb on the 64gb card.

I disagree wholeheartedly. It justified my getting a 3DS for it back in May and is the best game I've played on a Nintendo system in years. Being able to tackle the game in any order was fantastic. I laughed pretty hard at how easy my 6th dungeon was because it was obviously meant to be the first -- I just had some trouble finding the entrance. I thought it looked great, especially at 60fps, and was exactly the sort of Zelda experience I like. It brought back the classic elements that always worked, added some new twists, and did so in a way that didn't feel like it was just a retread.

i will be buying terraria ONLY to build a house. the bosses can live peacefully in my world, i don't know why i should kill them they're probably nice if you got to know them

I imported LBX W and didn't enjoy what I played. Of course, I don't know Japanese so I obviously was missing a lot of info. Here's some impression threads:

I believe one of them (LBX Boost?) was free on JP PS+ btw.

^ Surely that's just for long distance traveling? :P

Haha, welcome back!

IvorB, if you want a challenging game with deep mechanics, get Spelunky.

But fuck that game. Starting to feel that hate for it :P Been so close. Need to practice the jungle and ice some more, spent so much time in the caves with the keys.

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at it. Though indie/retro games aren't really my thing. Was feeling for a nice RPG but it looks like Y's isn't available in Europe until next year.

Maybe I'll just go back to Soul Sacrifice for a while...
