A Link Between Worlds is the only game this entire year I consistently used 3D on anyhow; unless the gameplay's built for it, I just find it a distracting gimmick that sometimes fucks with the framerate which I value more.

That's Gamefreak though, a company so technologically incompetent that they ran out of space on the GB cartridge before the game was finished, until Iwata compressed it and left enough room for the inclusion of Kanto in the game.

It's a shame because i really like the 3D effect most of the time. I have the slider maxed out in every game except Pokemon. The battles look great in 3D but the framerate really kills it.

I sure was expecting Smash Bros to be in 3D.

As far as worth goes, that machine will have HD mario kart and smash on it, so its very much worth it, for me at least. I buy nintendo console for nintendo games, so my needs will be satiated.

Yeah. I believe so. And they each won their respective generation. Although PS2 was 3rd party reliant it did absolutely great and Wii have that "It's for everyone" appeal.

The PS2 was only underpowered compared to systems that came out one year later. It still was vastly above previous gen systems, and the difference wasn't nearly as big as the Wii vs PS360 or Wii U vs PS4/XboxOne.

Maybe as a final smash? They could bring back Mewtwo for it, and we know temporary forms are possible with Bowser as a key example. Even Lucario and Charizard fit the bill.
