Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

Colored stamps of old promo art would be awesome unlockables to show off in miiverse.

They'd have to overhaul Miiverse to support color in drawing mode, but they would be fun as an alternative to achievements.

Of course, they can do that with regular stamps without having to add in color.

Sounds reasonable, here are my conservative predictions for the next Direct:

- Dedicated account systems for WiiU and 3DS to track purchases
- Influx of new titles for both Virtual Consoles
- Permanent price reduction for all VC titles
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars (WiiU), compiling HD remakes of SM64DS, SMS, SMG and SMG2
- WiiU bundle with Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario 3D World
- Kid Icarus: Uprising HD (WiiU)
- Metroid Prime Trilogy HD (WiiU)
- MPT now has Hunters and Pinball, revamped in HD
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Anthology (HD PoR/RD combo pack for WiiU)
- Xenoblade Chronicles and Baiten Kaitos Collection HD (WiiU)
- Monolith Soft's X -- English name, date, details
- Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate worldwide release, for 3DS and WiiU
- Steel Diver free-to-play online multiplayer title
- Mother 3 English localization coming to WiiU eShop
- Bayonetta: Collector's Edition -- definitive edition of first title, available on WiiU eShop
- Bayonetta CE includes digital copies of anime film, "Eyes of Bayonetta," demo of Bayonetta 2
- All-new MARIO STRIKERS CHARGED for WiiU, from Next Level Games
- All-new STAR FOX for WiiU, from Hideki Kamiya and PlatinumGames
- All-new F-ZERO and WAVE RACE titles for WiiU
- All-new METROID titles, for both 3DS and WiiU
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (WiiU, remake in style of tech demo)
- First look at The Legend of Zelda for WiiU (tentative title)
- Six Smash Bros. newcomers, revealed piecemeal: Mii, Little Mac, Takamaru, Palutena, Ridley, Pac-Man
- Takamaru reveal includes localization of Mysterious Murasame Castle, special Iwata Asks
- Six Smash Bros. veterans also confirmed: Wario, Yoshi, Ice Climbers, Ness, Captain Falcon, Solid Snake

Someone took a little too much of the Nintendo juice.

I just made two one night bets in the past two days, one week isn't the lowest. Lol. But I guess there have been several longer bets going on.

Yeah, I'm proud of my records so far.

I won a bet against Qurupeke. His bet is that he predict that Lucina would reveal before Marth, but I disagreed. The result is:

Y56O7PL.png

I felt bad that he had one of most annoying avatar, so I decided to be merciful member to grant him a second avatar so it wouldn't bother him or other people.

2. A bet with Troubled Bat. She predicted that we would get Captain Falcon last Wednesday, but she was dearly wrong. The result is that she is waiting for Wednesday FOREVER, and new beloved avatar that everyone dreadfully witnessed.

Yeah, she only had it for few days, so I decided to allowed her to changed the avatar because everyone loathe the avatar. Yeah, I actually feel bad for them.

3. A bet with Troubled Bat, AGAIN! She predicted that we would get character reveal yesterday, but she was wrong once again. Of course, I gave her a better avatar that would be easy on people's eyes.

I still have 4 ongoing bets with 4 different members in this thread.

1. Troubled Bat, again.. She betted that Waluigi will be playable character in SSB4.

2. I'M FINISHED. He betted that Snake wouldn't shown up in SSB4, but I hopefully disagreed with him.

3. Ryce, he don't believe in the rumor that would happens so unfortunately, I'm still clinging on the hope that rumor would happens. So Little Mac, Mii and Pac-Man have to be confirmed in order for me to win.

4. Drago, He strongly believed that we will get playable Chibi Robot for SSB4.

5. Gartooth, He is rooting for Simon Belmont to make his first smash debut this generation, but I strongly disagreed with him so here we are.

We can't even get half of this at E3.

Oh, I forgot to mention Nintendo reacquires Rare, all of its IPs, recruits all of its former staff members, and it turns out they've been working, in secret, on Banjo-Threeie and sequels to Blast Corps, Diddy Kong Racing and Jet Force Gemini, and that they're also riding a wave of unprecedented creativity and inspiration.

This game will have extra special meaning for me, it was the last thing I played with my then gf and best friend on GameCube before she died. She absolutely adored it on the GameCube I hope it's as good as melee was, what a blast we had played it three days almost non stop. Nice memories :).

That's beautiful... Just let yourself be happy and filled with joy when you play the game, because that's what she'd want you to feel -- happy, and filled with joy. :)

Takamaru believers makes me laugh. I'd bet Takamaru won't be in a Smash game in fifty years when they're starting to run out of characters.

Mysterious Murasame Castle was rated by Australia's ratings board, signaling an impending Western release.

Nintendo Land had an attraction called Takamaru's Ninja Castle.

Takamaru was a playable character in a Samurai Warriors game, and made a cameo in Captain Rainbow.

He was to Zelda as Kid Icarus was to Metroid.

A "lesser" franchise, even in Japan, but one Nintendo still remembers and honors periodically. He's definitely possible.

Yeah can't wait to go Link again, damn she was such a good player. One of the few who gave me the odd beating lol. Yeah she will be smiling, I might have a tear in my eye when I unwrap it but me and my young nephews are going to have a blast :).

are you trying to give nintendo fans panic attacks this is like dividng by zero.

my wallet would cry

You guys are pretty dense if you can't tell I was being firmly tongue-in-cheek, but then again BassForever also couldn't appreciate the brilliance of ALBW, so I guess I'm not surprised.

nintendo isn't good enough to do even 1/4 of this unfortunately :(

I haven't played it sits under Xmas tree, but I have absolute certainty it will have my interest over the Xmas holidays. Some folk just have no sense :)

mfw when I know that none of these are going to happen

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (WiiU, remake in style of tech demo)
take all of my money

Ha, I was actually being tongue-in-cheek with my playful jab at BassForever, as well. Different people look for different things in games, so it's all good. :)

maybe if I knew who the hell Takamaru even was

*drops mic*
Ha. Basically the samurai hero of Mysterious Murasame Castle, a Famicon title (so Japan's equivalent of the NES). It looked like Zelda but played much faster and more aciton-y. One of the 12 games in Nintendo Land is based on it. He was also in Samurai Warriors 3, if I recall correctly, as a guest Nintendo character. Hideki Kamiya, the guy who made Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta, said that if he could make any Nintendo game, it would be Star Fox, and barring that, Mysterious Murasame Castle. And we now know Nintendo has a Virtual Console version in the cards, since it was rated by Australia's ratings board (which is also how we know its English title). So, clearly Nintendo plans to bring the game to Western audiences. It's fun to think they may time its release alongside Takamaru's Smash reveal. :)

I hate you. Now I will want these forever, and Nintendo will never deliver. T-T

Takamaru had lots of cool powers, IIRC, like shurikens, lightning bolts and invisibility. And his level could be a beautiful cherry blossom-filled pagoda, with the evil statue coming to life and its mask flying around. :-O AND THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD.

Yeah true, would be rather boring if we all didn't have our own unique tastes.
Yep, takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. :)

And most people didn't appreciate the brilliance of skyward sword so I say its even

Lol funnily enough skyward sword was the only zelda game I didn't enjoy. In the end I hated the rather inaccurate wii mote controls but I suppose after being used to buttons and d pads was my own fault. I just couldn't get used to it sigh, wish they could have made a non wii mote version. Anyway hopefully smash bros comes out in time for my birthday in July.

This will never happen.

You guys expect too much. :v

Just got a Wii U and I was thinking of getting the wii version of Smash. How does it look? Does it upscale well or isn't it much of a difference? All in all I'm wondering if it's worth it?
