Man, after tomorrow I can finally begin winter break and start hanging here more, and maybe sneak into irc chat.
New stage huh, well at least we saw DK finally. I see this as a sign of something happening with the remainder of the week. INCOMING CHARACTER!! Seeing as Troubled Bat and Oreo have lost...I shall avenge them! I bet that we are getting a character this week! Week long avatar privilege!

Wow, it slipped my mind they hadn't shown off an Animal Crossing stage for 3DS! Looking forward to seeing what the full stage is like.

Uh, this doesn't really change anything. Once NCL heard that this guy claimed smash was coming in spring, whether its true or not, they would have him retract the statement and give out the generic 2014 release line. They wouldn't want false release info given out and they wouldn't want real release info given out if it wasn't already announced.
I always make fun of this thread when PokeGAF bleeds in. It's weird that qq wasn't the originator this time.
I would love to see a no-metagame, all items, any stage Smash 4 tourney. I remember when I was in college, Brawl came out and someone hosted a tourney. I was really bitter because all items were on, and it was double elimination (the first round was 4 player FFA, with the last round being 1v1 with the remaining top 2 from every FFA). Looking back, that's the only tournament I think I've ever won. I just Luigi'd them all with his insane FS. Up+B and victory. Back then no one knew how to counter that, so it was an easy clean up. But boy was that fun. People were so angry at me, though. But I was like, "Hey, I don't make the rules."

We've already seen Xerneas on what certainly looks like Battlefield, so they're almost certainly Pokeball Pokemon unlike Dialga and Palkia.
On another subject, I do wish they hadn't decided to hold the Yoshi announcement back so much. Every time I get excited for a potential character reveal I have to remind myself--it could just be Yoshi. He's the whammy right now.
I mean, I love Yoshi, but he's just about the least exciting announcement they can currently make--we all know he's in, let's not kid ourselves Sakurai, and I highly doubt he's going to look or play much different.

Sakurai wouldn't do that considering it wouldn't be Yoshi's iconic look and just serve as mostly advertising for an upcoming game.
Although I'd love it if he remade Yoshi with the artstyle of Yoshi's Island.

Do you think we might be collecting MiiVerse Stamps in Smash Brothers 4, perhaps alongside (or instead of) Stickers? You know Stamps based off promotional art, or perhaps Stamps of the Smash Brothers drawn in the N64 Smash Box Art Style, and their logos?

Stamps seem likely considering how they want to make them a common thing now. It'd be a lame implementation if they work just like stickers did in Brawl, though.
Colored stamps of old promo art would be awesome unlockables to show off in miiverse.

I just entered a Brawl tournament at a local game store. EDIT: My favorite characters are Sonic and The Captain, so there's that lol. I do use other characters that I like pretty well though.
I probably shouldn't use Sonic, but I am a stubborn fuck and am going to use Sonic.
My brother is going in with Snake, and he's pretty damn good. He might take it. The last time I was in town for one, the players didn't seem all that great. I won't go in underestimating everyone though.
