GTA: San Andreas coming to iOS/Android/Kindle/Windows Mobile; controllers supported

Same here. 2 crashes on iPad mini. On iPad Air it won't even start.

Why oh why do I continue to not have the willpower to not be a "day 1" video game purchaser? Broken game after broken game on every single platform and I still never learn my lesson. It's getting ridiculous. Are devs no longer accountable for releasing a damaged product? Returns for a defective product?

the fact that they are releasing the mobile version one year in advance with little fanfare compared to VC and GTA3 means that there is something coming nxt year for the 10° anniversary

Would absolutely love this on Vita, but Android will have to do for now.(dat DS3 support) Would totally double-dip for Vita version though.

I wonder what's next on the Rockstar remakeathon GTA: City Stories or Max Payne 2? Maybe Red Dead Revolver?(Please)

So far the opening is a nightmare. Trying to control the bike using a virtual control stick is nearly impossible. I also got pushed into a building by a rival gangs car and now I'm stuck inside it with glitching graphics.

Not a good start. I didn't have these problems with GTA 3 and Vice City.

Edit: Some screens from an IPhone:

I was hoping that rockstar would pull some magic out of their asses and come up with some awesome control scheme, but it sounds like that was wishful thinking. I'll probably wait for a sale on this, sadly.

it took me a few missions to get used to the controls in vice city, and I felt they were a good as you could get for such a game, but this is why free demos to try before buying would be great.

I know these feels. :(

Getting 3fps on lowest settings in GTAIII on my shitty HTC one V. ha

Well shit, I have a One V and was about to buy SA on it because I had a bad feeling R* was never going to port it to either of the major dedicated gaming handhelds.

Normally I'd port-beg at this point, but thisisneogaf.gif. Time to buy meself a better phone...

i ended up buying the game after all. i agree that the controls aren't that bad. however, as i predicted, i've only put in 30-40 minutes into it since launch day, and I don't expect to put in much more. oh well.

I've put in 7 hours so far. I love it. The upgrade visuals and draw distance are a huge improvement over the foggy PS2 version.

Only negative is that I'm reminded of how much I hated the gang territory stuff. Boring as hell and I always get the "your territory is under attack" message when I'm halfway across town on my way to a mission. So glad R* never revisited this shit.

I just always ran home and saved on the ps2. It stops the attack and you keep the territory.

Should be out on Windows Phone 8 at some point today.

I would love to live in the future. If anyone is interested,

Rockstar has released the Windows Phone 8 version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Windows Phone Store. It will only work on Nokia Lumia 1520, Lumia 1320, Lumia 822, Lumia 820, Lumia 810 and the HTC 8XT, but represents the first time any games from the franchise have been available on the platform.

GTA: San Andreas is available on the Windows Phone Store for £5.49.
