Once everything clicks you won't use the shortcuts anyway because you don't generate enough cash/items that way. So fear not dude that's bad at Spelunky.

Please don't try to pretend it isn't easier to beat the main game with shortcuts than without. Yes it's true you don't generate as much cash or items, but it's also a hell of a lot easier to beat an individual world than beat them all at once. That fourth world is going to fuck you over so hard regardless of whether you used shortcuts or not. But at the end of the day it's easier to beat one world than four in a row, and less time is wasted/there's less frustration.

Yay, Play Asia shipped my copy of Hatsune Miku Project Diva F BEST PRICE, should be here in the next few days. I know it's coming out here, but part of the fun of playing a crazy insane Japanese game is playing it in Japanese.

I doubt I'll be able to complete all the songs anyways on the harder difficulties, so DLC isn't a huge deal for me.

What to buy, what to buy.... Now that I have space :)

I see you are US PSN amingo, grab Breath of Fire 4 if you like jRPGs.

So I just got my Vita and I'm wondering if I can download games unto my PC and then transfer them to handheld itself ?

Nope.

You can backup to PC to transfer content between memory cards though.

:)

If you haven't bought Ys or Tearaway then you should.

Ys, sure. Still contemplating about Tearaway though... not really sure on this one to be honest.

The temple is way easier to complete if you have all the items you need. Starting from the beginning is the only way to reach hell and get the ankh.

Starting right at the temple is a huge crap-shoot as you have very few bombs and a lot of the maps seem unwinnable.

Yes the temple does generally feel very luck based. Nevertheless I maintain that it's easier to get lucky 3 levels in a row than to get through the entire game in one run and once again hope the final world is kind to you. I'm fully capable of making it to the temple from the start. I still usually die there anyway.

As for hell, I don't count it as main game. The requirments to get there are so ridiculously specific and the game doesn't really give you much of an idea of what to do to get there. You pretty much have to look up a guide to figure out how to get there. For this reason I see it purely as an extra optional challenge.

World 1 and World 3 are relatively easy to make it through without losing any health so why would you skip them? They'll actually give you a net positive in health as well as possible items from wasting shopkeepers.

Of course, if you're building shortcuts then you'll probably just want to concentrate on a single world, but once you've built them all and you're working toward the end-game I found it easier to work my way through all the worlds.

Makes for good Daily practice too.

Anyone tried Mahjong Royal Towers? GF is really into Mahjong and the price for it seems fair.

I played a bit yesterday. It's okay. The quality of the graphics is pretty subpar, and touching is a bit imprecise. Also, i still haven't figured out quite how scoring works. That said, it's still mahjong, so it's not like they could screw it up that much. If she likes mahjong, she should like this game too.

She dislikes playing it on her smartphone, because the screen is too small and she has to zoom in and out all the time to play it properly. So as long as it gets better then that experience..

Yeah, Globox's AI is SUCH. FUCKING. MORONIC. DIMWIT. IDIOTIC. SHIT-ASS. CRAP that - having played daily & weekly murphy challenges a lot - I can say without a doubt and with much confidence that anyone who has ever tried to claim "the touch-based Murphy levels are great" is factually so, so, so, so very wrong that no one has ever been as wrong in the Universe. They are the worst crap to ever grace any platformer, an insult towards humanity.

Yep. Fuck opinions. Those Murphy levels are awful and that's a fact xD

Has Rayman Legends multiplayer or something? There is that football mini game and there are a couple of other things that suggest it. Or is it ad-hoc only?

You know you post too much in a particular thread when your need for participating goes so far as to post off topic.

Wow, that was harsh partner...

It's certainly off topic but it's also not thread worthy. I just want to share some stuff.

I've been playing P4G for a while now and I notice that bringing certain personas that have the same type as the person you're trying to level the S.link seems to be improving the amount it increases in less time. Also I'm playing in NG+ and I want to go to the
secret dungeons and stuff. I knew I haven't finished the proper ending when it time skipped after the ski trip. How do you unlock the final dungeons?

Wow, that was harsh partner...

When you have a goal, expect to have some problems encountered here and there. xD
Sure :) My Vita needs more loving, uuggh, I have been abandoning it quite a while.... I have been getting stuff for it like skins and such... Need to invest more time in it.
Can you easily remove the skin? I'd like to be able to change it if I need to. Just for reference.

Wicked~
Lurk the PSX and PSP games and make a list of game that would interest you.

When you have a goal, expect to have some problems encountered here and there. xD

Yeah, always bring the persona with the matching arcana with the one you're doing S.Link with for maximum affinity gain.

And as for your spoiler, it's been a while but I am pretty sure that all you need to make sure is you finish the S.Link for Marie and that's it.

Edit: Oh, last last dungeon, not bonus p4g dungeon. Alright, sorry, just follow RalchAC's guide below :)

Ok, you have to do this:

1.- Save Marie.
2.- The time skip always happens, you are in the day before leaving Inaba.
3.- Talk to every S.Link, when you finish, say there is something else you want to do.
4.- Go to the Food Court, talk with the people there.
5.- Go and talk with Dojima, say there is something else you want to do.
6.- Go to the Shopping District, look for the guy at the gas station. If he doesn't appear talk to every single person in the shopping district until he appears in the gas station.

That way, you unlock the last dungeon.

How was the game overall? Did you love it? Did you love it even more than you can express with words? xD

The fact that I'm still playing it when there are a bunch of retail games lying around me and free games from PS+ and PSM should tell you. :D

I really can't get enough of the game. One thing though, are there any repercussions when dating multiples girls?

Oh yeah and my favorite scene is
the part where Kanji lost his swimming trunks. I laughed hysterically there. xD

My only problem (aside getting some extra stuff, but you know, that's supposed to be hard and punish you... is extra stuff xD) was the final boss. That guy had some quite random attacks, where it was more a matter of luck than skill to evade. Those things you are saying were quite annoying, but you get used to it after a while.

For the ones that have finished the game
Calaca first form is just learning how to jump to evade his attacks and break the auras. The second boss felt random because sometimes it was absolutely imposible to evade his attacks (after throwing things there is like half a second when you can't do anything but you can take damage). So for me that battle was throwing as much stuff as I could to Mega Calaca and exploiting the fact that when you are about to throw something, you cannot get any damage. I died a couple of times until I have enough luck to not get hit in those death times and kill the boss.

This is mostly incorrect.
While there is no specific pattern to the final boss second form, he is designed to blatently telegraph every single one of his attacks -- so if you see animation x, he's going to do attack x and you should respond with action x. I can't remember the visual cues at the moment, but it's like -- if he leans back, you know he's going to
horizontal breath beam
and thus you should duck and wait for him to go into recovery animations at which point you attack. When his arms raise up over his head, he will ground pound and you should time a double jump accordingly. So on and so forth.
I believe I beat him on hard using melee only -- and I know I beat him on hard using the CEO outfit (both trophies, I ended up doing them on my hard run without max health too).

As far as the other poster goes:
The trick to the Tule Tree, which seems to be a point of difficulty for a lot of players, the real trick is to learn to hit the R+X at the same time. This takes care of the beginning of the jumps and switching dimensions, then you are free to transition from X to O to grab the walls.

Practice is key. It's highly doable, if you figure out a couple of these tricks and learn to apply them. Good luck on finishing the game; I'm going to assume that if you're having issues with the Tule Tree you are not going to like some of the later boss battles. :)

Pretend?
It's not pretending.
If you start straight out in the temple and have to take on mummies, Anubis, Olmec, and the gang with just 4 bombs and 4 ropes? Yeah, good luck with that.

As Esoteric preaches: The shortcuts are for getting characters unlocked, filling out your guidebook easier, getting more practice in certain levels, but if you're trying to finish the game, Hell or not, starting from the beginning is crucial.

For a cheap diversion, download adventure bar labyrinth on psm. The graphics are not great, but it is an addictive rogue like. And completely free.

Ennnnnnh...I'd never discourage anyone from buying a game that interests them, but I will say that zooming is required for the Vita version, too. I didn't zoom in after the first level, but I was constantly straining to see what some of the number tiles were.

One of my favorite parts is the
Sky trip. Seeing Teddy skiing with his belly, the scary story at night (you can even describe the Velvet Room like I did) and seeing Kanji blushing due to Naoto was really funny. Well, the relationship between Kanji and Naoto is rather interesting in general xD

I dunno. Next playthrough I'm going for Rise but I don' really feel like cheating, especially because I don't have any interest in Yukiko or the other choices (maybe Ai but I dunno...). I didn't really like that in Persona 3 you don't have a choice. Still, I hope Persona 5 has some post level 10 Social Link stuff in general. There was already and improvement in P4 compared to 3, but I want more text!

Yea it's pretty easy. I'm not gonna do it anytime soon though, the elf is too cute :3 Hahaha.

Ooh, free2play yeah? Hmmm.

Any PSX or (preferably) PSP RPGs with huge customization? Stats, party, tons of weapons and equipments to find, etc.

Tactics Ogre should satisfy your micro-management itch real good. Disgaea games can be great as well.

SRPGs have most of what you need. I'd recommend Class of Heroes, Yggdra Union, FF Tactics: War of the Lions, Tactics Ogre, Ragnarok Tactics, Disgaea games, ZHP, Patapon games, Mana Khemia, and Legend of Hereos: Trails in the Sky.

Well there are gifts that are given to you when exclusive events happens when dating a certain girl so if it is unique to a single person per girlfriend then I'd like to collect them all.

Was it the guy who insulted WiiU? If it's him, that's pretty daring--and stupid--of him to do that, especially in a thread known to have multiple mods attending as regular, hahaha.

A guy I met in Facebook... it's been a long while since I contacted him but I can give you his name and you can message him if you want.

Can't in good conscious recommend War of the Lions do the stupid framerate problem....

As for P4G gifts... not really worth it dude. You basically need to play it like, 4 times...? to get all the items. Buut I guess if you are a completionist....

Ok what case is that and where can I grab skins like that for it? *Throws credit card at monitor*

With a Pelican 1170 on the way I may have to rethink how I customize the foam.

I love this thread but damn is it enabling my impulse trigger finger.

Amazon.de has the 3G Vita for €139.
I have to resist so hard to get another one. My screen is scratched up and another OLED would be nice. The Vita 2000 is also very nice though. And for the love of god, I don't need a second Vita.

Do you still get 5 Vita games? Yes?

Then if you don't have a 3rd yearly, I'd say that's better... unless you don't own a Sony product at all so you didn't have a reason to own PS+ and missed out on stuff.
We've been stuck with Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and WipEout 2048 for over a year now without indication of it changing anytime soon. Personally, I'd rather have no game stick around PS+ for more than 6 months tops.
But I guess in the long run, it doesn't matter, since it's just "how long til the next 2 titles swap in?". :P

Normally, no. We do get more than 4 games when a PS3 game happens to be a crossbuy title like Guacamelee right now.
Personally, it's not a big deal for me too.
