Fighting Games Weekly | Dec 9-15 | Funding Nemo? Not yet...

I like Haitani over Xian this time. Don't think he's gonna make it past Alioune or Fuudo though. Especially Alioune.

Buuuut I think I said the same thing about Fuudo when Haitani qualified.

Alioune would be a crazy match. No way I could predict that one.

You would think Fuudo would body him pretty hard though if he has studied the match-up a bit more. Fei Long shouldn't be getting beat by Makoto.

i like the field v sako, wanna bet it?

Nah, I've got too much money on the fanatiq v nemo match to place any more bets this weekend. I really do like Sako as a player, but I also fully know he's a wild card. When he's on, he's unstoppable. When he's off, he falls apart immediately. Consistency isn't his strength.

Ultradavid's appearance on Al Jazeera has made me wonder how many of those well-dressed, suit-and-tie dudes you see consulted on cable news use a fart avatar on message boards in their private lives.

I like Alioune over Haitani mostly because I know Alioune has played VRyu a lot.

Haitani and VRyu definitely have different styles though, so who knows.

People really shouldn't sleep on Gackt.

The last time he traveled to the west, he underperformed. He's not really the same in an international tournament setting.

Additionally, the Asia qualifiers being round robin FT7 really helped his style of play, like how Sanford became more of himself in his FT5s.

But we'll see. I didn't expect him to qualify out of the 6 that were there in Singapore.

A lot of players who haven't traveled outside of their continent much have a hard time to perform well. A foreign environment and jet lag are horrible.

Man, I love playing against Boxers online. You get into footsie range with T.hawk and just start pushing buttons and they can't throw punches because then everything gets stuffed and counterhit.
