I think I've posted on here before, but I'll throw a couple new ones.
3DS library isn't that great: Granted maybe it's my apathy towards JRPGs, but I really don't see the hype surrounding the library. It has it's share of good Nintendo games (and beats the Wii U badly in this repect), has some okay 3rd party games in Batman Origins: Blackgate, RE: Revelations, Kingdom Hearts and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow but honestly it still feels very shallow. Its lacking big time in a lot of genres imo, and i think would be very well served courting indie developers to put some more arcadey games on the platform. It has some (Nano Assault, Mighty Switch Force) but i think i needs way more than it has. It's VC is lacking as well (it would be so good if they sold SNES and GBA games at least).
The JRPGs i have tried on it have been a mixed bag to say the least. I like Fire Emblem: Awakening, and in general enjoy the series. Haven't tried SMT 4 or any of those games in general. But didn't care at all for Project X Zone (felt dumb and the battle system to me felt like an inferior version of fire emblem), and I hated Etrian Odyssey 4 (then again dungeon crawlers aren't really my thing). Monster Hunter is okay, but the lack of online loses a lot of its appeal to me (Don't have time to pour 100+ hours into a single player game with no story).
Overall, I haven't disliked the 3DS, but it's been kinda meh to me.
