Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

At least F-Zero, Star Fox, Metroid, and Wario Ware didn't end on a cliffhaner!

BattleTanx ;-; (I know it was made by 3DO and someone at EA sports I think technically own the rights to it now, but what did you want me to say, SteelDiver? Granted, I am definitely interested in hearing more official information about that upcoming game!

Pic of the day. In the train stage, the rear car can change during battle. It'll detach and move backward, so be careful! This pic features the Linebeck Trading Company, which is being transported for some reason.

toot toot

Expectations annihilated.

Allow me to express my love for the Miiverse comment. "It happens because SHENANIGANS", aaah Sakurai's a great. Of course you had Pokémon randomly attacking you atop Silph Co.'s building back in Smash 64, and Bullet Bills exploding out of the blue on the roof of Princess Peach's castle in Melee, so I'll take it.

This is awesome. I loved ST.

Why is everyone calling this nothing? It's one of the most interesting stages with a lot going on.

I am very happy. I can't wait to see the different carriages.

You don't transport Linebeck's (should note it is the grandson of the Linebeck from PH) place in Spirit Tracks however you do transport a lot of other things in the game. This is obviously just a bit of Sakurai humour.

Apparently these guys don't like humour.

i dont understand either, even with the new info we've been getting from the past few weeks, its been considered "nothing"

i guess we need a veteran reveal soon lol

I actually like Stage updates because stages allow for more references than a character. This is a clever and humorous way to show other things in ST not found on the over world.

linebeck was also in Spirit Tracks

to be fair, the game wasn't exactly memorable outside of the train gimmick

Spirit Tracks was a lot more memorable than Phantom Hourglass. It had an actually interesting plot and ghost Zelda was the best Princess Zelda in the series. Great characterization. It's a shame how little respect it gets.

Linebeck in Spirit Tracks is Linebeck III, Linebeck's descendant. He runs a trading company where you can trade items for train parts. One of the sidequests in the game is transporting dark ore from the Goron mines to Linebeck's station under a very strict time limit.

I was thinking yesterday while hearing a link between worlds OST how I hate even more the 3DS version. We will not hear a good soundtrack composed also of remixed or orchestrated DS and 3DS music becuase of the shitty idea of leaving all portable things to the 3DS version.
And the train looks like shit ripped directly form the original game, would have preferred seeing it as a new 3D model on wiiU.

Only negative about the ST stage is that it has put a dampener on Wario's stage being a train based one (I associate train levels with his games).

Well as long as an arrangement of this gets in I'll be happy.

I hope with the 3DS and Wii U versions he will get at least one Wario Land based stage and not just Wario Ware.

The two 3DS Zelda games feature music from console Zelda games?

He's saying that stages from portable games will be in the 3DS version of Smash but not in the Wii U version, therefor the AWESOME music from the portable Zelda games might be stuck on 3DS with its inferior sound as well.

Spirit Tracks has one of the best soundtracks in the franchise.
