But yeah, he could have super armor nonetheless.
I still wish that if they'd use any character to go this route they'd use Leif. On top of being able to use any weapon type as a Master Knight, he also has unique game mechanics that only existed in Thracia 776 to make him further unique from other FE main characters as a fighter.
If we're still just barking up the "Female rep" tree then... has anyone mentioned Celica? She's a main character-tier magic user that's not Micaiah, so she's got that goin' for 'er.

Naw, im talkin about that picture where you have everyone's render in the picture together, and you have DK and bowser in the back on each side and stuff.
I don't actually care much for FE itself (but do enjoy the characters for Smash) as it isn't my cup of tea but... I just want diversity for the franchise. I'm tried of swords and characters looking a bit too similar (not saying any of the veterans should be removed, I'm against the idea of removing/replacing anyone).

I just think it deserves a better variety, as long as they don't pick one of the pandering characters (such as Tharja and Nowi... eugh especially Nowi.). Lucina just isn't very interesting for Smash Bros to me and feels like a Marth 1.5 or something. The franchise should have someone else interesting... maybe Anna? I'm not completely sure about Anna because I don't know her character or the series well enough, but from what I'm hearing she doesn't sound like a bad choice.

This really threw me when I played FE. I thought the entire story would revolve around 'Marth', but he was completely irrelevant, really. It was Chrom and Tactician's story from start to bitter end.

Based on the little I know of Awakening, Tharja would be my choice because she's a dark mage and the fanbase seems to love her.
Edit: Actually the Chrom & Lucina team idea would be best because it not only differentiates them from Marth and Ike, but it also makes them unique by adding in an essential mechanic from their game.
I'd be happy with either.

There's that as well. Honestly, I feel that the Avatar/Robin wouldn't be a bad choice either. It'll give us a magic user as well, and it won't be a blue haired lord.
Honestly I don't understand the fanbase at times.
Lyn or Anna would be the best Fire Emblem newcomers. Lyn because, well, she's awesome and was the first female Lord and the protagonist of the first Fire Emblem released outside Japan. Anna because she's been in every Fire Emblem, which is something no other character can say. No one represents the whole series better than Anna.

On the official Smash website 8 empty slots have opened up on the character selection section. In total there are 27 now with 19 known. Remember 6 months ago Sakurai said the limit for creating characters for Smash Bros is about 20? So then half the idiot planet assumed Smash would only have 20 characters period? Hahaha.
These 8 slots will probably be filled by May with at least one more newcomer before June. Come on Ridley!

Default face and different hair colors for alts, I guess. Problem is I don't know if Sakurai would go for 3 avatar characters, with Villager and Mii if it's in.

So a bit off topic, but I think playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl just broke my Wii and my warranty is out. What do GAF?
Details: Been playing a lot of 1 against 3 team matches with the rest of the characters set on random and Level 9 to start training for a Brawl tourney at my uni, but I guess it overclocked my Wii or something and right before another match it gave me an error reading and forced me to eject the disc and restart my Wii. Once I restarted it, the disc reader sounded a bit funky. Almost really clicky.
Now whatever game I put in there, it won't read it, except for Brawl which it gets from the title screen on the Wii menu, but then gets an error reading once it starts the actual game.
Please tell me this is salvageable and cheap to fix. I have a Wii Disc Lens Cleaner but I lent it to another friend so I can't immediately fix it.

Sounds like a dead or dirty drive. Try cleaning it when you can, if that doesn't work you'll have to replace the drive (or buy a new one since that's probably not worth it).
You could always jailbreak it and install a USB loader, but without a drive you'd have to jump through some hoops to add your game images to it.
