Mighty No.9 Kickstarter (PS4/XB1 & Vita/3DS are GO!) (Inafune/IC, $4M FUNDED)

Voted for F, nice that we have the expressive portraits for that one. Liking how the bow flaps or droops.
Hopefully the color of F stays that pinkish tone, unlike that 3D model.

I really liked E, but the colored version looks a bit off to me. Wasn't expecting all that white.

Got link voted E. Anyone who voted otherwise is objectively wrong and horrible human being. May Jebus have mercy on your souls.
Even though you clearly don't deserve it.

What does DFC mean?

also whatever, Mauricio_Magus falls under the same umbrella as Boss Doggie does: A good poster with an odd fetish that he's unashamed of. It can weird you out, but he's a good poster regardless.

edit: It's "Dat Flat Chest", isn't it?

DFC kinda falls into the same category as ZR/zettai ryouiki/absolute territory/that area between socks/shorts/skirts, I think. Or like a certain personality like tsundere/etc.

Eh, video games need more flat chested characters. And DFC is a very popular meme/saying now. There are people who will now, say it in a strictly non-sexual sense about any character as just a commentary on their body type. It's become, in some circles, an alternative to calling a character a "loli" or "pettanko" or so forth. It's better than the term loli, because it doesn't have the history that the term loli does.

For instance, people would call characters like Nagi from Kannagi or Black Rock Shooter, DFC, even if they aren't all that young looking.

Also, there's nothing wrong with finding flat chests attractive. Or breasts unattractive. I don't find breasts attractive at all. Flat chests are completely sexy, though. I don't see what anybody finds attractive about a curvaceous figure. I think it's strange to see attraction to flat chests a strange and disturbing fetish. That hinges on the idea of seeing attraction to curves as normal and attraction to a lack of curves as not normal. Which it isn't, it's totally normal.

I assume that the issue is that Call, all of the Calls really, are seen as people as young looking. I hope that's the majority of the case, at least. Speaking of which, all of the Call's look pretty much around the same age. I've heard some people say that Call E looks older, but she has even bigger eyes than Call F.

As for the whole young-ish looking thing. Well, it's no surprise that NeoGAF has some lolicon folks. Some people are more closeted about it than others. On the subject of youth, I do hope that Call F is or at least becomes a mature character. The emotionless thing has me worried. I want Call to be more than a machine, but a human-like robot with maturity. I want her to be an intelligent and independent character. Rather than a character who is strong on the battle field, but is dependent and like a little girl in terms of maturity.

I'm interested, and even a little bit anxious to see how they characterize her.

Oh my god why do you feel that this was necessary? There is so much wrong with that post but I'm going to say just this: My main problem is that people are discussing fetishes in a thread about MIGHTY NO 9 in the first place. No one wants to hear about DFC or any other fetishes. Seriously.

A-fucking-men.

Now, let's get back to about how much F sucks. >:D

I don't know why I keep clicking on this thread thinking I'm missing something new about the game when I know nothing is going to happen until the 29th

I just bought a Vita recently, so now I'm up in the air as to whether I want to get the Steam version, PS4 version, or Vita version. I'd probably play the Steam version with a DS4 anyway, so then it becomes a question of whether I like the Vita pad more than the DS4 pad, of which I'm not really sure.

I like the 3DS pad also, but the Vita screen wins by default for me.

I don't own a Vita yet but it's either that or the Wii U version for me. Hmm, maybe Vita since I might get one by the time the game is out. dat oled

The winner.

In 3rd place... Call H! (15.47% of the vote)

In 2nd place... Call E!! (41.14% of the vote)

And so, the winner of the second and final round of the Call design vote, scoring 43.39% of the votes and thus becoming the basis for our heroine in the final game --

Call F, by Inti Creates’ Yuuji Natsume!!!

That was closer than I thought it would be.

F da bes.

I'm kind of disappointed that Beck didn't have a vote though.
Not that the design now is bad, but I would've liked to see what others would've come up with, and what fans would've preferred overall.

His head looks like a Tonka truck.

That was the inspiration! Very cool.

Kimo Kimo: 4 is actually the first Mighty No. I created a complete sketch for and showed to Inafune. Because the theme was all about “Earth” and power/strength, I gave No. 4 the feel of construction machinery -- head like a dump truck, the body of a big crane, bulldozer-like feet and excavator-scoop hands.
Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved construction trucks and stuff like that, so I really felt this boss had the potential to be my favorite design.
