People ACTUALLY like R.O.B.? wat.
We deserve a full pokemon version of smash
I'd like to see an official game that plays like smash, I could be honest. Now that would be sweet. I've day dreamed about that since Pokemon's inception.

You people consider Wolf a clone though, how would Crystal be any different? Her normals would be completely unique, but she'd just blast from her staff, user her staff to charge, etc. She could easily fit the same format as the other Starfox characters even if she got her staff (which she never actually used in game aside from Adventures' intro sequence - as soon as she's on the ground, with the player controlling her, there's no staff).
And yet Rosalina was ignored by the NSMB series and took years to actually start consistently getting in spin offs outside of Mario Kart. Personally, I've always thought it was odder that many Mario spin offs for a while seemed to ignore the Galaxy games.
Why do people want R.O.B. out? Its one of the LEAST likely characters from Brawl to get axed.
You think so? I personally don't like him but he is a unique character.
I'm not a huge fan, but I can see why he got in the game and think he was a good addition. He got a lot of love in Brawl too such as SSE as well as being the big surprise secret character of the game. I just find it odd to expect him gone given the spotlight Samurai gave him.
why hello there spellcheck

ROB is worthless, ALL HAIL SHULK!
>=|SkullHydra, referring to his own SmashGAF Karma after making this statement
It should be an item. The good guys could commandeer one in the final boss battle in NSMBU. In Smash Bros., players could hop into it and fly around the sky, (almost) out of reach, and lob bombs onto the battlefield, or maybe dive-bomb the others.
To be fair those games ignored peach too, and gave us two toads.
I'm incredibly eager to try Rosalina & Luma. This game should release.
soon.
pls
I wanna see like, a "Nintendo Kid" or something. Comes with NES Zapper and Power Glove, Super Scope 6, and he chucks Virtual Boy's at you.
Top it all off with a R.O.B. assist Final Smash, and we are good.
Spending 30 minutes just deciding what Pokemon to play as, would be the best game ever no joke.
They have and will continue to use them as buzzwords, epically lucario.
The thing about buzz phrases is that they don't have to make sense. Nor do they have to be used for an unpopular party.
Like sonic recolor.
It makes NO sense, put it is regurgitated, and sonic games( sans lost world for obvious reasons) and characters like shadow and sonic still do well and get requests. Like I said Dat Shadow itis.
This game should release.
soon.

So there are a lot of questions that need to be made as regards to character selection in that game.
How can I get this in the new Smash Bros
No. There's no question. Peach is physically taller and plays and animates differently from Mario and Luigi. NSMB 4-player wanted the players to have equal abilities, and Toads being about the same size and moving similarly made sense. To be fair those games ignored peach too, and gave us two toads.

Koopalings can be riding that as a stage hazard by dropping Bob-ombs if we ever get a stage set in Bowser's Castle.
So in the end it's all about buzzwords.
.
It made sense why they did it. SM3DW is partly a homage to SMB2 so we get Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. NSMB series is a homage to the likes of SMB, SMB3, and SMW. The main plot of those 3 games were save Peach from Bowser so to keep the homage Peach remains a damsel in distress. Yoshi is a power-up like in SMW, and characters like Wario or Daisy weren't a part of those classic games so they are left out. Mario and Luigi get their spots, as do the two Toads justifyingly. Toad is one of the original 5 SMB characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Bowser) so he will always have a presence in the platformers.
Why are (some) people here so obsessed with cutting characters?
I don't understand the obsession with cutting characters, either. Why are (some) people here so obsessed with cutting characters? Is it because then if they're counting to 56 (or whatever) they can get closer to their dream roster?
They can lesson the homagining in those games.
They did to an extent. Bowser Jr. joined the Koopalings ranks and Nabbit is an original character that became playable in NSLU.
Isn't Birdo a guy?I wouldn't expect it to happen, but one Mario character I think would be a rather neat newcomer from a gameplay standpoint is Birdo:
Her main ability would be to fire egg projectiles. They'd move moderately fast and hit hard. But the cool thing is that you could land on them and ride them with a well-timed jump. Perhaps her Smash Attack could spit out fireballs instead (as per SMB2).
She's appeared in Subcon stages in past Smash Bros. I definitely don't expect to see her ever made playable, and I wouldn't exactly argue for her, because there are other Mario characters that are more "qualified."
I just think she'd be fun.![]()
Not in the English-speaking world.Isn't Birdo a guy?
Not in the English-speaking world.
Ah, you're right. In Melee, Birdo was a "her," but as of Brawl, it's "indeterminate gender."It's more so considered a genderless species at this point. Brawl's Birdo trophy seems to indicate this.
It was in the first edition manual of the North American version of Super Mario Bros. 2 that Birdo was referred to as a male who believes he's a female. Lol.Not in the English-speaking world.
Oh really? I didn't know that carried over to America. He... uh, it... was changed to female in promotions for Mario Tennis 64, etc. And I guess it's genderless now.It was in the first edition manual of the North American version of Super Mario Bros. 2 that Birdo was referred to as a male who believes he's a female. what is this, the Nintendo failure list
final smash should be dropping a Wii U on the field, the bombas automatically KO everyone
*drops mic*
But I'll miss Smash 4 madness
I mean, I hear Smash 4 madness isn't the same as Brawl madness back then, and only the last thread was archived.
No one ever said they were limited to 45 character slots. When Nintendo designs a game system, they also allot a maximum number of slots for Smash Bros. characters. There's only 45 character slots for the Wii U as developers have confirmed. That's why Toon Link is such an outrage, because Sakurai's just going to waste half the slots on clone characters.
It was called male on the European site for Mario Strikers Charged Baseball too. Apparently nobody knows. Lol.Oh really? I didn't know that carried over to America. He... uh, it... was changed to female in promotions for Mario Tennis 64, etc. And I guess it's genderless now.

That thread is only one meta-thread for Brawl because in old time, there is no such a rule for post limitation(20k post per thread rule set up way after brawl hype. That's why there are not many threads for brawl.
Oh, he was being facetious? I never know how to read people in the distortion zone of the Smash Bros. thread...you're bad at Poe's Law
like, this isn't even convincing at all
