Not really, Time is money! You paid to have it well before it was free. Same can be said about missing discounts. You paid a higher price because you wanted it sooner.

Awesome. The competitive mode in this game I feel is very underrated. So much fun stalking survivors and when your team combos it's attacks it's very satisfying.

The Valve press thing says "To claim your L4D2 gift, all you need to do is install it.
If you dont install, it goes back to its regular price and you miss out!"

I clicked it from my phone and it said it added the game to my account.
Is this even possible? I own the cut version and played the few hours I played at all with a uncut mod running, but would like to own the non-German version as well.

I got the game day 1, so I paid more than most people who own the game most likely. I don't regret a single cent.
Might as well say them putting games on sale years after they've been out SHITS ON ALL THE DAY 1 BUYERS. The game has been available for 2 dollars at times for Christ's sake. Seems obvious to me that they think they've gotten just about every purchase out of the game, so they're giving people another chance to try it, probably to hype up L4D3.

Steam is getting uberhammered, I can't download shit. When I press "Install Game" it redirects me to the front page.
EDIT: Just went to the game page again to get a "Play Game" button which worked after a few tries.

I preordered, got every penny of my money's worth (and then some), and I love the fact that it's free now.
It's a multiplayer game after all. While there is still a big community, the more the merrier!
