Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

Nah, shouldn't do. You don't pay import tax on anything that's shipped inside the EU. That's why they're doing the shipping to France first. It's a good idea really and I wish more places would do it. YesAsia do it sometimes as well(They won't on some Sony products though), and so did that American site which shut down.

Cheers! Looking forward to importing my 64GB card from them.

Anyone know if there's a deal going for PS+ right now?

If you're in UK, I've heard people have been picking up 90-day subscriptions for £5 in their local Morrisons, along with a bunch of other reduced stuff. Checked mine yesterday; bugger all there. Sonic Racing Transformed was £5 on PS3 but I couldn't even be arsed buying that.

I'm in mainland Europe unfortunately :/

Anyone have any good deals for Vitas? Don't mind whether it's new or pre-owned. Best I've found is the Tearaway, LBP and 16GB card bundle for £149 on Amazon.

Cdkeys has it for £35.90 for a year, should get a discount with facebook like.

If that Year plus 3 month deal is still going on PSN, you'd be better off paying for two network cards from Cdkeys (use facebook like to get a small discount) and buying it direct from Sony. Then you get a fair amount left over (pay about £60 for 70 quids worth) and can buy some online games.

So in the end I've grabbed the Wii U off amazon, Deluxe + Nintendoland + ZombiU (I know it's cheap but the other games I didn't care for) + Rayman Legends = €248 shipped.
Seemed a good deal to me, thanks Zafir for tipping me on this deal!

Now, I just need the usual plug adapter (UK plug > EU/IT plug) right?
Does the Wii U have an AC adapter (and what about the Gamepad's cradle?) like the Wii did or just a plain cable like the PS3/Slim?
If it needs the AC adapter I doubt it's the same one the 3DS has lol, maybe I can shop one around for cheap... or I'll prolly just use an adapter for now.

You have two distinct power supplies, one for the console and the other for the Gamepad.

I guess you'll "just" need two adaptors if the plugs are UK as I suspect they'll be... or you might change the plugs yourself if you feel confident enough (shouldn't be too difficult).

2 different external power supplies. You will need 2 uk to eu adapters, don't buy new power supplies first party or not, it's not worth it.
Also don't use the Wii PSU to the WiiU, it may fit but it cannot match the higher power draw.
And lastly the Gamepad is more power hungry than 3DS, so it won't fit

is when I bite.

9.99€ instant buy for me

I got my Wii U off Amazon UK, and all I needed was this: one for the Wii U system, one for the GamePad. I got the pack for around €3.

It's kind of sad, but that's the thing that's holding me back right now. You always have those ugly unwieldy adaptors attached, and then you need to go out and buy them first. Of course local shops sell them for 12 euro, because that's what they make money off, and if you order them online you have to wait for a month, at which point the Wii U may see a local price cut :/.

Oh UK why u so contrarian.

I contemplated getting one for my PS4 that I ordered from UK Amazon. I live in mainland Europe so I needed the two-prong socket.

But then I said fuck it and simply used my PS2 power cable. Thank god for Sony's universal approach.

Dishonored (360) is £4.99 at Zavvi. And Dishonored GOTY (PS3) is apparently £8.99 in store at Sainsburys. Wonder what the DLC costs on XBox.

Thanks to both of you guys! :)

Yeah, that's similar to what .I have already, having lived 5 years in the UK when I got back I had a bunch of stuff which needed adapters

Thanks for this and listen to me:

I've got it from the French store (just selected the flag), deselected the optional shipping insurance yeaand when I went to finalize the order the total came to €1,35 instead of €13,50!
They seem to already have shipped it to me ^_^ let's see what happens, lol
Kudos go to a dude on the everyeye forums who PM'ed me about the "glitch"

Damn. I'm kind of tempted to leave work a little early tomorrow to swing by the large Sainsburys nearby and see if they've got it for that price.

And gone. Wasn't when I clicked buy but said sold out at checkout. Managed to place the order nevertheless so not sure what happens. What does zavvi usually do in cases like this? Do they honor it and restock?

I ordered Dragon Quest V from them years ago and waited for months. Even sent them multiple messages and was always given a stock answer "we are waiting for a restock from our supplier soon".

Needless to say, the game had been out of print for a while when I ordered it. But they were selling it as "in stock".

Also I wouldn't put the word "honor" and Zavvi in the same sentence. Just read through some pages in the thread.
