First few episodes are good, heck, the first arc is pretty alright. But after episode 14 or so, when the second arc starts, it just turns to crap. In my opinion at least. I stopped at around episode 19.

I dislike it, but some of my friends who aren't too much into anime seem to love it. If it gets more people watching Toonami, then I'm all for it even if I personally don't like it.

It's really a shame, the small portion of the dub that I saw was actually really well done.

All kidding aside, Sword Art has some fantastic visuals and some pretty good animation.

The story is laughable, but if you liked MMOs as a kid there might be a feeling of nostalgia attached to it.

Normally I agree with a lot of the opinions on GAF, but we part ways with Sword Art Online.
I completely loved the first season. It's now my favorite anime of all time, and I can't wait to see more of it.
I watch anime to be entertained, and goddamn did SAO ever do that in spades.
It kills me that the PSP and Vita games will never get localized.
At least the light novels are being brought over.
