Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

10k seems like an awful lot for a site like Play-Asia to sell in one day. Its not even like $30 is a ridiculously low price for a game thats being out a few months anymore. I've yet to pick it up myself and intend to eventually...but I just don't know when I'd have time to play it.

That's what I said yesterday too. 10.000 copies is a lot. I'm not even sure Amazon would have had so many copies sitting in their warehouse. The crazy thing is that Play-Asia actually only slashed the price by $4. Their listprice was $31.99. By slashing $4, it was suddenly selling like hot cakes. Maybe the magic pricepoint for new games are below $30. I do think $30 is quite cheap for a very hyped, high profile, Sony exclusive title that's only 3 or so months old. Just that the price isn't the best you can get.

Since everyone seems to be throwing their two cents in. I'd say Play-asia and the popularity of this is more relevant to the prices in Australia or America rather than Europe.

On Amazon.com the cheapest new copies are $41.99 fulfilled by Amazon so that is a big saving there. Used copies are more than $28 too...

So when can we start seeing some serious price drops in Ireland/UK on PS4 games?

I presume when the second round of launch window games are released?

I'd love to pick up BF4/NFS/Knack/Marvel at ~€30

Words of truth - I keep jumping in this thread hoping same thing.

I had already noticed Lego marvel Ps4 at £ 30 in argos but bit frustrating a coop game has no online coop so not for me.

Cant believe some retailers not getting the offer itch after a few months of games being released.

The 360 and Ps3 titles of Bf4 etc have already dropped big time

The hybrid 360/Xbox One version of COD Ghosts is £30 in store at Grainger games if anyone has a store local. Think it is digital codes for both games, so it could work out fairly cheap for the XB1 version if you are able to sell on the 360 code on EBay etc

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut (WII U) is £11.95 at The Game Collection.

Edit:
Can't seem to find it unless I use the HUKD link.

I've missed the eShop sale :(

Best price for ZombiU and Nintendoland? Thanks guys :)

Nintendo Land was £5 just recently at Tesco if you're in the UK. They might still have some copies at your local store. Also GAME apparently have/had (?) it for £10 in store. Otherwise it's probably £20 at Amazon UK and GAME online.

If you're in Italy (going by your avatar), there is a 3rd party seller at amazon.it that has it for around €22.

Yeah, I used to live in the UK (5 years in London) but I'm in Italy atm, already noticed the 3rd party seller at amazon but it's preowned. Same for Zombi U. Thanks anyway.

Also, The Wonderful 101 seems to be out of stock almost everywhere besides Amazon stores (IT/UK). Damn.
I really, really want that game but I'd prefer not forking out €44, since Platinum's joints always go down in price pretty fast... on the other hand this one's published by Nintendo itself, mmmhhhh.

Btw, what about the Fit Meter? Didn't you just need that one to get Wii Fit U for free? Then how come do I see copies of the game + the fit Meter going for €50?! Best I could find for the FM alone is €27, still too much.
I own the balance board already.

So in the end I've deleted my Amazon UK's Wii U + zombi U + Nintendoland + Rayman for €250 shipped with:

Italian Wii U Deluxe + Zombi U + Nintendoland + Mario U/Luigi U bundle + Wii Remote Plus + nunchuck + 2 official screen protectors = €270 shipped. I think it's a pretty good deal... or do you guys suggest I should keep looking for something better? I've just paid it in full but I can still cancel (it'll be shipped next Tuesday).

The point is that I'm 99% certain that IF Nintendo won't reprint the Mario/Luigi U bundled disc to sell in stores in the future, making the Mario bundle pack the only way to own such edition, this sku will easily fetch for €100+ in a not so distant future. Even if that doesn't pan out, I wanted both games and they cost a pretty penny, while I'm better off just playing Rayman Legends on PC or even grabbing it later on for like £10.

Wait wait...what ? Dash is the deal still online/available ? Nice bundle you got there.

Sounds like an excellent deal.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Wii U) is £15 at Amazon UK.

It was £12 or £13 about a month ago there, but if you missed out then (and want the game), this might be a good price too.

Edit: Same price at GAME.
Edit: seems like Amazon already sold out. That went fast.

No Paper Mario 3DS, no LEGO City Undercover. :(

I only buy Nintendo games during those sales. Everything else will be either 50% off a few weeks/months later or land on PS+.

Are you sure? i think i saw them there

edit: It was Lego City Undercover 3DS, the Wiiu Version on recommendations :/

Yeah, but Amazon doesn't even sell the Wii U version at the moment. And dat price stability. Guess I`ll pay the Saturn in my town a visit.

That 3 for 2 sale on amazon Germany - would games be the same as in the UK (I.e. could you trade them in to GAME afterwards)? Tempted to preorder some PS4 games but the savings aren't as great if I'm stuck with them

Not 100% sure but I doubt it on the basis they've refused to take Australian games off me in the past even thought they're PAL and fully compatible, some of those German games have German text on the covers which would make them less likely I think.

Is Persona 4: The Golden any cheaper than £25 anywhere? I've had a hunt, but can't find a good deal anywhere.

Wish I'd gone for the PSN deal in the run up to Christmas, but I just don't have space on my card for a digital copy.

I would so buy this, I haven't seen a better deal in a long while actually. The thing is that probably Amazon.it won't ship outside of Italy as I just saw and on top of that I couldn't even find this deal after a quick search at least.

£25 seems to be a good price for it.
Haven't seen it cheaper anywhere so far. Picked mine up a week or two ago for £26.60 and it went up again after that.
Have to say it really is worth it though. Starts of very slow, but it's a terrific game. :)

Agh, I mis-spoke, the best I'm seeing is £30.

I might just hold out and grab the PSN version if I crumble at some point, thanks though.

Definitely a cool game - I enjoyed the little time I spent with the PS2 version, so I'm looking forward to digging a little bit deeper this time.

Do you mind me asking where you've found it for £25? I'm in a similar boat, bought my Vita on boxing day (i.e. the day after the PSN sale finished) and have filled my 16gb card already!

Cheapest I've found is £32 on Amazon.

*edit* Doh! Just spotted your reply!

Yeah, sorry about that - false hope :(

Just wait until you've shelled out for a 32GB card and are struggling to make room on that. It's not fun :(

I blame PS+. I hate juggling games installed, I want 'em all. Gimme a 1TB card, Sony. Stat.

3 for 2 also counts for preorders like Destiny, 1886, Evil Within, Infamous etc...

£300 Mario deal on official Nintendo store is the best deal out there. Just cannot justify another console purchase right now after spending £500 or so on a PS4 and games and expect the Wii U to be £150 by the summer anyway when there will be even more games to play like MK8 and Bayonetta 2.

does "2014" voucher for WOWHD work for anybody? It says it's applied on checkout but I don't see any price difference.

Guess DKC:TF for 29.19GBP instead of 25.10GBP
