I wonder which version Vita will get.

what game is that?

why do people just post random pics of a game but never name it?

Here i was thinking it was some new soul sacrifice game. I really dont know why people just cannot post the name of the game with the screenshot.

That UI was totally Monster Hunter xD. But yeah, we need people to say what game are they uploading screenshoots.

Took the advice that this game was fun from a number of people here. Now i see these people were incredible liars. This game is making me want to smash my vita.

People here told me Soul Sacrifice was fun. Just because I don't find that kind of game fun doesn't mean they're liars. If you like visual novels and if you like the style of puzzles in games like VLR then you'll like VLR. If you don't then you won't.

Hmm wonder how much Terraria Vita sold.
Really enjoying it but don't want to be shafted on updates due to low sales.

Honestly though, I have over 200 hours on PC and stopped playing due to life and stuff. But having it on a handheld has been a dream!

There is a new Soul Sacrifice coming to Vita this March in Japan:

Monster Hunter Frontier Online (not on Vita... yet).

It was announced for Vita at TGS. No release date has been announced.

It's a comparison between Monster Hunter Frontier G, and the new GG update coming to PC this year. It's a subscription based MMO that employs IP region blocks and will never be localized.

Wow. They got you bad. While I'd suggest people to play VLR on Vita (for the save bug alone), I would never tell people to buy one for this game.

I dunno what "GAF's tastes" is (or generally, the west's), but to say VLR is FUN? They must have some weird definition of fun, then.

If fun was about the puzzles, there are better (and more fun) puzzle games out there.

Hahahaha.

The strongest part of VLR is its story, so if it doesn't grab you then yeah.

Some of the puzzles were also terribly wicked though. Well, worse comes to worst you can just use a FAQ or something just to skip the puzzles and focus on the story.

Fun is subjective. So is value.

The story is interesting however the puzzles are downright shit. Some puzzles are like taking a Calculus exam without studying, without a calculator, without being able to calculate anything, just throwing random numbers and hoping you get a good grade.

There's a demo that you should have played before you bought it.

the demo puzzles are not as ridiculous as in the later parts of the game. You'd think the game itself would help you solve them but you need a pen, paper, guide, cheat guide and luck, probably about 80% luck.

i think this will be my last VLR. Thank the heavens i did not buy a DS for 999. Now i know to stay away from that game when it comes to iOS. I'll just go and read the wikipedia entry and spoil the story for myself. not worth playing ever.

As are a lot of things.

VLR is interesting, yes, but "fun" has lots of connotations. There are far more fitting words to describe VLR. So if you're describing VLR as "fun", then chances are that you're in a different language game. Which goes back to my comment "they must have some weird definition of fun".

Not sure I've seen that boxart before. Final?

I like it, but part of it seems a bit... I don't know disappointing. Like it's more 'mainstream' rather than what the art for the original was like.

I think the iOS version doesn't even have the puzzles. I know it's gimped in some way like that.

Maybe Capcom has finally realized how shameful and dangerous is Vita having monster hunting games that look millions time better than Monster Hunter on home consoles.
Obviously Vita is getting the first version, the G version was announced for Vita not the GG(that was announced later)
This is probably another of those bad waste of money from Sony, like announcing a bad and late port of Spiderman close to the announcement of Spiderman 2(that won't be on Vita)

Whats up with my Vita? Download keeps pausing when I put it to sleep.

Strange behaviour. Vita is definitely connected to my router and downloading, but the MAC and IP address arent showing up on my router's client list.

It does that to me as well. My Vita always looses connection to the wifi after a while when it's in sleep mode.

I dunno if this is a glitch or what, but this totally baffled me when I got my Vita for Christmas.

The solution, unbelievably, is to UNtick the option to use wifi when in sleep mode! I don't know if it's worded weirdly, or it's just a lazy oversight, but since I unchecked that option, my downloads work fine!

Huh. I know that whenever I'm playing Spelunky and put my Vita back from Sleep, it says it's signed out from PSN. Weird.

Does Thomas Was Alone get any more interesting later on? I think it's pretty good, but I'm about halfway through and feel like I've seen pretty much everything it has to offer. A lot of the platforming seems more tedious than anything.

Lol no. Sounds to me like you're just pissed off because you're finding the game difficult. The puzzles are very reasonable. It's only if you're trying to get the gold files that some of the puzzles are ridiculously difficult. For main progression I never had too much trouble. Some took a fair bit of time to think about to solve, but that's a good thing. Luck has little to do with it. I enjoyed the puzzles very much. Except the one where you have to draw a parallelogram. I forget, was that a regular puzzle or a gold file? That's one of the only puzzles that I'd say pissed me off. Also if you put the game on easy the game gives you a lot of hints. The game DOES help you solve them.

Capcpom might have been the one who tipped the balance in the force. But they're no Chosen One. They won't be bringing back balance to the force.

Seriously, though, they got that MH Portable 3rd HD yet they did not even do a (cross platform) MHP3rd G when everyone was expecting it.

I'm actually not sure about the GFX, but the Vita and PS3 one will have the same servers. Except for the fact that there will be "PS3 exclusive areas" (or as they said it: areas you can go to in Vita ver are limited), which automatically makes the Vita version the inferior one.

That's bullshit Capcom. They really suck ass.

What kind of DL speeds can one reasonably expect with the Vita over WiFi? I ran some tests and I generally get 13-15 Mbit/s (1,7 MB/s). PSStore generally feels a bit slower than that though.

Does anybody have some data themselves?

I never needed a guide and I never needed luck while playing. I just had to pay attention to the tips and think outside the box. And I platinumed the game; my first plat.

I wish there were puzzle games on Vita with puzzles as good as the ones on VLR.

Well, the dictionary says it is something that gives me pleasure or enjoyment or amusement. According to that definition, I had LOTS of fun with VLR.

So, we've started a new year and I'm thinking I might like to try a genre I rarely touch - RPGs. My Vita's been a little idle lately, so that's my target platform.

I'm chasing something that is, above all else, approachable for an RPG virgin. PSP, PSOne, and Vita are all good so long as the game is available for download in EU regions.

Would love to hear some suggestions.

I'm not the best at RPGs yet I was in the same boat as you when I fell in love with Persona 4 Golden. It has an easy mode, grinding is not as tedious due to a fast forward system, and the story isn't as cliched as most modern jrpgs, though it is still rooted in anime.

It has led me to try out the final fantasy series along with other jrpgs

If action RPG is what you're into, look into Ys7 and Ys Oath.

It gets thrown around a lot but P4G (Persona 4 Golden) is a great starting point.

Really impressed with how LBP turned out on the Vita, you'd think the franchise was designed for the system from the start.
Also can't get enough of Wipeout, I know the Vita is a capable system but 2048 really exceeded my expectations.

Question for those who play DJMAX: Technika Tune: I find that sometimes if I suspend the game without pausing first and then return to it the music gets out of sync. I've played "Jumping" enough times to know when it sounds off, so when this occurs the vocals seem to be a bit early. Anyone else have this problem?

Here is a shot of some remote play from my Vita. Guess what the game is! ( i am playing campaign). Also, does anyone know what the best vita grips are? my hands fall asleep during long vita sessions.

WTH. There's no jumping in Ys Seven? I miss the plaforming in Oath. :(

Also, what's the purpose of dex and agl? Is it the hit and evade stat?

Hmm... Gotta try that. My Vita has the same problem.

That seems to be about the speeds I get if I remember. Normally pc runs bout 55dl, 15 ul. PS3, PS4, and Vita all seem to take a substantial hit on that though....granted all are wireless and not too close to my poorly positioned router, if that adds any extra clarity to it.

I do not own any grips, but I have heard great things about the Hori ones.

Also, CoD, and Killzone!

And another remote play shot (I took this with my iphone). Wii U on steroids! We all know this game.

Just wondering, what do you use to use the ps4 touchpad on the vita? I know the vita touchpad are the shoulder buttons. Just asking cuz the touchpad is how you control the little bot in KZ4.
