Capcpom might have been the one who tipped the balance in the force. But they're no Chosen One. They won't be bringing back balance to the force.

Seriously, though, they got that MH Portable 3rd HD yet they did not even do a (cross platform) MHP3rd G when everyone was expecting it.

I'm actually not sure about the GFX, but the Vita and PS3 one will have the same servers. Except for the fact that there will be "PS3 exclusive areas" (or as they said it: areas you can go to in Vita ver are limited), which automatically makes the Vita version the inferior one.

Crapcom being Crapcom and imo another confirmation that Vita will get the G version and not the GG one.

Anyway

Just wondering, what do you use to use the ps4 touchpad on the vita? I know the vita touchpad are the shoulder buttons. Just asking cuz the touchpad is how you control the little bot in KZ4.

You deploy the bot with the back touchpad on the vita, and select his actions with the touch screen on the front. these games have special remote play commands, even COD

That UI was totally Monster Hunter xD. But yeah, we need people to say what game are they uploading screenshoots.
Not everyone has played all the games. Give the guy a break. I agree with him. Some of us don't have as much free time and money as the rest of you to play every game out there.

Snap, Toukiden looks great. I'm excited for it.

WTH. There's no jumping in Ys Seven? I miss the plaforming in Oath. :(

New Ys is some shit ain't it. They removed the awesome platforming and difficulty for more focused (and still absolutely garbage) story. I bought Celceta at full price and can't bring myself to play it, it's so fucking dull.

oh man that game looks fantastic.

That infomration only tells you how much space it needs for the save data. AFAIK the Vita store doesn't show how big the file of the game will be.

The webstore says Muramasa is 450 MB.
Thanks for the info. That really is the sort of info I would expect the store to show you on Vita.

Anyway, I opted for Hotline Miami cos I've never played it at all. I played an hour of Muramasa on Wii. Looking forward to tucking into it!

Broken Sword has been out in Europe, but not the US?

And I've been trying to make sense of this Danganronpa game...it's a visual novel with some rythym aspects every now and then?

What the concencus on toukiden? Is combat better that soul sacrifice? I tried Monster Honter Freedom on Vita and found it poo as compared to SS.

Just the thought of Seven and Celceta with platforming and jumping in it is awesome especially with how jumping in ingrained in most boss battles. It adds more depth IMO.

It's by far the closest thing to MH that the Vita has gotten in terms of gameplay. Stay away if you didn't like MHF.

Well, now you've convinced me to day one a 2014 Vita game. Does it have online play or is it stuck with ad-hoc garbage? Soul Sac is cool, but it doesn't give me the feels like MH (dat lack of difficulty in SS, dat superior MH class system)

Yes, there is online multiplayer.

Hrrmmmm... I don't know if I buy that. Combat in Toukiden looks a lot more varied and interesting than any MH game I've ever seen -- and since my main problem with MH was the boring/limited combat, I think I would give Toukiden a fair shot if they bring the demo stateside before launch.

Are you talking about MHFU or something different?
And I don't think any MH game should be giving you "feels"... :P

if there's only a way to play PC games on the Vita (like the nVidia Shield)

A game like Valdis would be awesome

I'm pretty sure someone smart will make an app for that on the open full and of Vita useful and great apps the one and only PlayStation Suite.

there was someone working on PC streaming app back when the garbage PSM was called Playstation Suite and people thought Sony will make it open for all sort of apps
:(

So if they supported the Vita more SHOULD we buy from Capcom?

...but eff your ish son:
EU GAF, go get Breath of Fire 3
US GAF, go get Breath of Fire 4

RELIVE THE ERA FROM WHEN CAPCOM WAS AT ITS GOLDEN AGE!

I'm just gonna say I highly disagree with your opinion on MH. It's the best hunting game, has the best combat and has the best enemy design. It's the king for a reason. SS is fun but I don't feel good about myself when I beat anything because there's not much difficulty or thought required.

It really isn't much different from MH based on my experience with the Japanese demo. If you're expecting combat like Soul Sacrifice or God Eater, you're going to be very disappointed.

The only capcom i loved was the one making arcade games, the one that gave me King Of The Dragons, Black Tiger, Final Fight, Cadillac & Dinosaurs, The Punisher etc(notice how i didn't name any Capcom fighting game...)
I won't miss the later Capcom.

I personally feel Toukiden's combat is a lot better than SS just from playing the JP demo. The combat is slower than soul sacrifice, but faster than MHF. Each weapon have it own uniqueness just like MH. but in Toukiden, each weapon has a powerful attack that must be charged before use. Killing a boss will take more time than SS, as you must first cut the boss's limb (this is where you gather material) before you can really damage the boss. This game also have a customization system called Mitama, which is somewhat similar to SS sigil, though IMO I found Mitama to be more interesting and real charm of this game, as each type of Mitama really affect your skill and play style.

isn't this what so many Vita people (especially in this thread) want? more of an MH like experience (instead of unique and actually good games with good combat system and a story like SS or GE)

MHFU feels like something I'll be forced to play for eternity when I die and am inevitably sent to Hell for being a bad person. :P

Remind me to never listen to any of your game recommendations, then ;)

Though I have the feeling if MH was PSV exclusive instead of 3DS the tone towards the series would be much different ITT. But continue on with your salt showers<3

I still wouldn't care. Soul Sacrifice is currently the best "hunting" game as far as I'm concerned. Watching videos of Toukiden, it seems that early gameplay stuff I saw somewhere doesn't really apply to the final product and it looks too slow and boring for me. Hopefully it will appease the MH fans though. :P

This'd be the same Capcom that made them arcade games then, stop giving me your excuse and get on dat BoF.

I completely agree with you on MH. No other hunting game has given me anything close to what MH has. It was my main reason for keeping my 3ds as long as I have, and continue to hold on to it for MH4.

SS was indeed fun. Killing the high level bosses was rewarding, but for me nowhere near as great as taking down a King Gold Rathalos or the awesome battle of a full party taking on Jhen Moran...the crafting system in SS was very welcome, but for me there weren't enough mats, so trying to find goblin se++ vs goblin se+ felt like more of a chore than it needed to be. I still sank about 90 hours overall in SS, but that is just the tip of the iceberg in MH time..

All that being said, I am day 1ing Toukiden SO HARD. I haven't seen much gameplay on it, but what I have seen I reeeaaalllly like.

You chose wisely. Hotline Miami was personally my favorite game I played from last year. I really want Muramasa sometime, but am waiting for it to go on sale sub $20 before I bite.

Correct on Broken Sword, it is driving me crazy waiting for Sony NA to get it out.

Never heard of this Danganronpa game, but gonna look it up and check it out. Sounds like it could be cool.

Toukiden has hubandos and waifus, that's what you're getting the game for.

All these guys talking about hunting games really makes me excited for 2014 with the releases of many of them.

I could understand how likable MH is because of the more methodological approach while SS gives the more fast paced experience.

Toukiden is shaping up to be a mix of both and I think that's the sweet spot that I'd like.

What do you guys think of Freedom Wars?
