based on this comment they most be almost complete with development since they working on beefing up the game with content now.
Realistically, that could mean anything.

Didn't Brawl's development not really start till 2006/late 2005 and it released March 2008? Meanwhile SSB4's started in 2012/late 2011 and it will release in 2014. That'd mean roughly the same amount of dev time. The most simple reading of that quote is to not worry about the games lacking in content despite what seemed to be a quick development time compared to Brawl.

Those 3DS gifs look great, but I wonder how distracting the screen shake effect is going to be on the small screen.
I'm on Miiverse, where is this posted? Can you link to it?
It's not Photoshopped:Soviet Prince did you photoshop this? Cause I'm on Miiverse checked my activity feed on Sakurai and see nothing.

Brawl did have a bit of bloat, but god damn leave the Chronicles alone. That was really interesting to read.
And regarding trophies, it would be a waste of resources creating new models for them.
Also, Sah, you don't need to get defensive with any post that has skepticism with the game (regardless of which version) AND then claim it will be fine when you don't know for sure (I think it will be fine personally). Probably 25% of your posts in these threads are pretty much about that.
https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAADRUqFpGGYsgQWhere is the direct link? I'm not seeing it on Miiverse.

If they're still at a point where they're still able to rapidly add content then they're far from being complete.

Where does it say that they are "rapidly add content" ?
He's going off the "beefing up" part.
That said we should only be optimistic for release if they say they're about to enter intensive bug testing. They're still in the midst of the Pre-alpha phase. (Alpha is technically when the software is feature-complete.)
Sakurai said:2014年のどこかで、新作スマブラが出る予定ですね。 盛り込むべきことがまだまだいっぱいあるので、気長にお待ちくださいませ。
Well someone can have a go at it:

Kokonoe is my waifu.
EDIT: I want these lovelies to be on the new page. I plan to get both versions of Smash, but man... 3DS version has something special to it.
(It must be my OoT nostalgia. First the Gerudo Valley stage, and now the Saria-on-a-stump trophy!)

Means nothing to me since I will be getting both versions.Disappointed to see that Saria's model comes directly from OOT3D and again disappointed that Sakurai sees fit to arbitrarily limit each version's content to "mostly console/handheld only."
The console/handheld divide actually makes me happy since it will mean in theory the GameBoy/Advance era will get some love since that has been sadly lacking in Smash Games. Funny when you consider Kirby was born on the GameBoy.
As am I, I just fear that both versions will feel like an incomplete half to a whole that can never be complete. Smash Bros. is supposed to be a celebration of all things Nintendo, not just one side of the coin.Means nothing to me since I will be getting both versions

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting his comments right, but it sounds like most of the major content has been added to the game at this point correct? In other words, they are now focusing on adding more content such as trophies, stickers, etc. to the game. Sounds like the game will be complete by around E3 time although that might not be when it ships.

For some reason, I'm hoping the 3DS has trophies based on actual handhelds (GB, GBA, 3/DS, Virtual Boy because why not) & then Wii U has trophies for the NES/Famicom, SNES, etc. to fit the whole theme of 3DS representing handhelds & Wii U representing consoles. I don't think Brawl had any, but I remember the GCN trophy in Melee.
Oh, I know each version is gonna have exclusive trophies. I mean an actual trophy based on the system itself, like how Melee had a Gamecube trophy. I wanna see a trophy of, say, the Game Boy on the 3DS version & a little description of it.That's what Sakurai just confirmed on daily image. However, I'm still hoping that they would go farther than DS and Wii.

They'll probably have stamps for Miiverse instead, similar to Super Mario 3D World and NES Remix. They'll essentially take the same sort of concept/promo art they'd use for stickers, and turn them into black-and-white stamps you can use and modify in your Miiverse posts on WiiU and 3DS.I liked the lottery slot machin in melee a lot more than the minigame brawl had, hope it's back for SmashFor also please don't bring back stickers such a boring and lame feature.
