Are they also gonna put a disclaimer for Lex Luger?

Can't wait. I just have to doubt that they'll get it right though. Anything over 12 bucks a month is too much. I sadly see them trying to charge 20 bucks a month at least.

Isn't this announcement about them offering every WWE Smackdown and/or Raw ever televised through an On Demand service? I heard about this the other day.

Rumor has it that it's potentially a bit larger than that - including PPV access and the full WWE back library.

We'll see though.

For full access to everything, I would do $15 a month, easily.

If it would let you watch any RAW, PPV, Nitro, etc from the past and was organized in a way that would let you follow major storylines, then it will be pretty awesome even if you're not into current era wrestling.

sub $15 a month with a really good catalog and I am IN. Anything over $15 and it better include the ENTIRE library of WWE, WCW, ECW as well as a bunch of other companies. PPVs included.

Even the entire catalog over anything more than $15 is too much for me. I think $9.95 is the sweet spot for me.

There is no way that this will be more than $15. I can honestly see this being the same price as Netflix or PS+. $15 would be too steep for something like this.

I would bet money that it will be $9.99, same as UFC's Fight Pass service and offer more content with a better organized user interface.

Seriously, fuck trying to find things on that Fight Pass UI.

Fightpass is a goddam joke. I didn't want to believe it was put together last minute, but it was. Why there is no app in 20 fuxking 14 is unreal.

Really? Here in Germany you need Sky to order their PPVs, at least last time I checked (which was early last year). Okay, admittedly that makes me a bit excited.

Don't know if Sky in Germany has the streaming rights there as well. If they do, there's always unblock-us or a VPN or something.

I have noticed distinct growth in WWE GAF lately. OTs for everything.

I've noticed a lot of friends of mine getting back into wrestling in the last year... I didn't watch for a few years, but I started slowly watching a Raw or two... then before you knew it, I was watching every Raw, some Smackdowns and a bunch of the PPVs.

It's just really fun right now.

Why would anyone pay for access to possibly the entire library of WWE, who have the largest tape archive of wrestling (not just WWE wrestling, dozens of promotions) in the world? That seems a silly question.

Not really - to many people, it's still just glorified male soap opera... ;)
don't hurt me, please...

I'm not a wrestling fan, but a well-stocked, reasonably priced access to an archive of all of the WWE's content - especially if it includes footage from the other promotions they've swallowed up over the years - will be a huge seller. I know my dad would subscribe - his tape collection is pretty impressive, but there's still tons of material that he still doesn't have access to.

It's all about the price -- soon, we'll see what the WWE thinks their archive is worth.

You know who doesn't seem to be on tonight's guest list?

I hope they include WCW shows and PPVs. At least eventually. If the rumors of it having every raw and PPV I should have plenty to do until then.

My buddies and I got back into it with the Rock coming back to do more and we've stuck around.

Really excited for the announcement tonight. If the rumors are true, the WWE network is going to be a hell of a deal.

Orton is never on these conferences and announcements. For all their pushing of him, they don't seem to view him as someone they want doing PR.

Actually really excited for this if it is a reasonably priced streaming service. Been thinking of how much I'd love to watch The Brood, Shamrock, Val Venis, Hardcore Title 24/7 rule, and all of that other crazy lower card Attitude Era stuff again recently. Probably won't be available for the UK anyway. Dat Sky deal tho.
