Goddamn Carice van Houten just oozes sex appeal.

Oh man just read the theory that Jon Snow is the song of ice and fire
Ed lied about having a bastard son, its actually lyannas and Rhaegars son.

Oh god that would be an awesome twist.

I think most people didn't pick up on it while reading. I sure didn't.

However, I did doubt several times that Ned is Jon's father.

- WiC.net: Go “On The Set” with Thrones in Season 4

New video from HBO looking behind the scenes at S4. HBO video player though I assume the youtube will be up sometime soon.

Some nice, albeit very brief looks at some things.

Thanks for posting.

Stannis and Davos talking to Tycho I think. That location though...are Stannis and Davos actually going to make a pit stop at Braavos are there way north? That could be an interesting move.

It's also fucking sexy. In my opinion anyway.
It's weird seeing a woman with that hairstyle that isn't all tatted up.

It's a nice way to give him something to do this season before showing up to save the day.

It seems so obvious now that I've seen it that I'm surprised I never saw anyone suggest it when discussing Stannis for S4 (especially considering we have known Tycho is in the season for a while).

We're sometimes too close to the story to see ways of doing things differently that will still make sense.

Natalie is fucking gorgeous. Also why didn't I think of that use for Tycho? Seems so obvious now. Just fix Stannis's character now please HBO.

This is definitely the most talked about theory, and definitely the most probable. I say we get confirmation in TWOW. A lot of people are a bit mad that they aren't hinting toward this more in the show considering the overwhelming amount of hints to it in the books, so when the revelation moment does happen in the show, it might appear as if out of thin air and a stupid twist as opposed to something deeply integrated into the story.

I guess we know what Stannis will be up to for that nebulous part of the year he was going to be gone from Dragonstone but not yet at the wall. Our first look at Braavos

yea its been pretty much talked about for a while and then after ADWD its pretty much obvious he is Azor Ahai reborn

Oh snap I just watched the HBO behind the scenes vid. I did laugh when someone said "we have incredible actors" and then it cut to Headey making her Cersei-face.

Stannis in Braavos makes a lot of sense and would be a good misdirection that allows his appearance at the Wall to be a surprise for show watchers. I do think it kinda kills a bit of the mystique of Braavos. I loved the scene where Arya first arrives in the city through the Titan.

A few other notable things in the video:

Jamie giving Oathkeeper to Brienne.

Brienne's new armor, I believe it's closer to how it was described in the books.

Possibly Styr, Magnar of Thenn.

Tywin on the throne with Oberyn and Mace beside him.

Jamie with two hands? The book to show changes have gone too far!

I think its too early to introduce braavos as a city right now, I don't mind Stannis interacting with Tycho but this season is going to be busy enough as it is. They should leave it til next season where they have a lot of time to play with its development don't pack it in and ruin it now

More than a decade ago Martin said Jon's parents would be revealed in the fifth book, which at the time would have been TWOW; this was before he split ADWD. Now TWOW is the sixth book, and I'd imagine the big reveal will occur. Martin has held some pretty major cards close to his chest, especially on Jon's parentage and the Others. He's on record saying we'll see the Land Always Winter in TWOW too.

God, the book is going to have to be packed with info for him to ensure the series can finish in seven books. Can't wait.

Ha! That's actually some
Winds
material they're doing right there. If they actually gor through that scene early, tWoW:
Stannis better sign the contract in blood too just to really make GRRM sweat.

what i am really looking forward to is not the reveal itself that J=R+L, but why its important in the bigger picture

it might just be a set up scene instead of the tWoW stuff
stannis: give me some money
bank: no
stannis: the lannister fuckers won't pay you back, I will
bank: fuck off

queue season 5 where the banker comes running to the wall to make the deal with Stannis after all because Cersei told him to fuck off

spoilers since there is some tWoW stuff in here

Yeah, that's probably how it's gonna play out.

Funny thing is a lot of show watchers and even some readers might consider it filler and ask "why the fuck isn't Stannis at the Wall yet?!" even though this would be a very good adaptation decision.

They could make it so they're forced to land in Braavos due to storms or something. That could drive a bit of a wedge between Stannis and Mel after she burned sacrifices to pray for good winds and could create some "is he going to make it to the Wall in time?" tension so that his surprise arrival packs a bit more punch. Then it wouldn't feel quite so fillerish.

Also this totally kills my theory that they were going to cut Braavos to save money and just have Arya apprentice directly with Jaqen in Oldtown and help him assassinate Pate.

Sam looking nice and suave.

He looks more like Reek than what we saw in the trailer...
lol

I do like the actor. His speech at the end of season 2 is amazing.

Yeah, there won't be an actual Azor Ahai reborn. More like a leader in the upcoming war and it can be anyone. He will be the figuratively 'Azor Ahai'. The new leader.

Anyway, that's what I think. Would be funny if Melisandre was right all along and Stannis would be it.
