Is this show shot on location or is most of the scenery green screened?
Nice, some of the scenes were hard to tell. Definitely makes me appreciate the cinematography a lot more knowing for sure.On location in good old Louisiana.
I just realized that it cut from a shot of Woody tossing salad to a shot of Rust gargling Listerine. Coincidence? I think not.
It's a perfect edit.
i can never watch percy jackson the same again
It's not confirmed yet, but given the critical response and the good numbers it put up for the premiere, I'd be very surprised if they didn't announce S2 sometime soon. Also, this is for sure getting a new season next year, right?
Oh man, this show's great. Fantastic character development and setting. McConoughey and Harrelson are awesome! I think I liked this episode even more than the first one. Hearing Rust talk about his daughter was just heartbreaking. Anyone else a bit sad that there's only 8 episodes with this mystery and set of characters? Also, this is for sure getting a new season next year, right?
It was less a call out and more a "you are not fooling anyone" moment.Rust's calling out of Marty sleeping around was top tier. The fact that he didn't back down was even more amazing.
To be clear, if it gets another season, it won't be about these characters. Woody and McConaughey won't even be in it. It's an anthology series like American Horror Story.

Yeah, I know, but as long as the writer, director, and the crew are back, I'm sure it'll be awesome.
Just making sure. I didn't know this until this thread. At least the story will be wrapped up.
Is your Avatar Raylan and Kaz. For the longest time I've seen that Avatar, and wondered that. I'm a big fan of Justified, but haven't seen promo shots of Season 1 in a long time. Seems like something from S1.
That's something I'd forgotten if they shared in the first episode. Did they post dates of the interviews and Marty's was after Rust's?It's interesting to note they interview Rust on the case before Marty. And they so far are painting it like they think Rust is a suspect from their "follow up" interview with Marty. And that's the second mention of a heroic moment in the forest.

really, i mean - just so impressed with mcconaughey in this show
that scene in the conference room, when hes running them through his daughters death and the situation with his ex-wife
just superb
I took the first to mean that Rust was quicker to put things together than Marty was. Marty was too self-involved to realize where the detectives' line of questioning was going. It's interesting to note they interview Rust on the case before Marty. Another amazing episode tonight, some thoughts:
-I don't remember Rust mentioning the car wreak over dinner. So what the daughters laid out kind of freaked me out.
-I liked the hallucination visuals
-Dat Daddario
-Marty smelling his fingers when Rust goes to rough up those mechanics was hilarious.
-Marty and Rust face off was intense, I see a breaking point coming.

What? Both episodes have been fantastic. It works on a completely different level then a Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, and does it in a brilliant fashion. I hate cop shows, but feel like I could watch 8 seasons straight of this show.Another good, but not great episode.
BTW, do the producers have a product placement deal with Lone Star? I saw Marty's father-in-law drinking bottle in one scene.
You guys think that the scene where Chole had to be slightly more physical to get directions to the whorehouse is meant to show that he is slowly becoming more and more violent?

That was an hour of nuanced dialogue and exposition and all you guys can go on about is titties / arguing over whether her ass or vagina was being licked?
Seriously GAF?
Yes. At the first appearance of each character they give the taping of the recording. Marty has the date May 1, 2012. And Rust was April 26, 2012That's something I'd forgotten if they shared in the first episode. Did they post dates of the interviews and Marty's was after Rust's?

is there any way to see the first episode online at this point?
