Unless I missed something; what's stopping the people who is really funding the game to stop funding them even if the kickstarter is successful? I'm really tempted to donate but I don't know.

On topic, I probably won't back this, but I'm going to follow their progress, and be really disappointed if Dennis doesn't do the OT.
Get out of here with that stone-age resolution.Optimized for 1440p+ displays.
Looks really neat, these sorts of games are getting more popular. I've never played one though. Which one should I try out... ?

Mount & Blade with more polish, more RPG elements, a story, and amazing-balls graphics? Fuck yeah, I'm in.

. One quest, apparently, will see us investigating the tragic murder of a young girl, and itll be able to resolve in all sorts of ways. Most intriguingly, well be able to accuse and convict people without solving the entire mystery. Partial evidence and false accusations might even get you a reward, because how can anybody really know youre just pulling it from beneath the plates covering your hindquarters?
Oh, right: because after a brief period of peace, the murders will start right back up again. Great job, detective. The end result? Youll lose reputation and karma with both individuals and whichever city youre in. But who knows? Maybe you dont care. Maybe you just need some quick cash
We should ask them to release some uncompressed media (screenshots and videos).
I want to see this stuff at a higher fidelity!

This is not the only openworld Cryengine Kickstarter to launch today.

Worst timing ever. Well good luck. I actually like the look of Cradle, but that's the only thing they show and they don't have any experienced developers to build trust. This is not the only openworld Cryengine Kickstarter to launch today. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1324765189/cradle

@Ben Cranna: Yes, definitely. We plan to release tools we used to develop the game. They are going to be PC only though.

On top of that, we are developing our own proprietary RPG-MAKING TOOLS for easy development of this and any future content, including custom support for game design, animations, branching dialogue, clothing definitions, et al. We plan to release these tools to the modding community in the future.

I would have definitely backed them, however, given it's only for the PC version (yes, I have seen the video and read that they want to put it on consoles but their bid to raise capital is not for consoles) I can't. It would be nice to if one day kickstarter projects would involve development for consoles directly.

I believe that the original premise for this game was that it would take place during the Thirty Years War (being that the developers are in Bohemia, one of the major battlegrounds of the conflict, that would make sense), but they probably thought better of it due to religious nature the Catholic/Protestant conflict. They can probably fictionalize the conflict but still retain the "spirit" of the historical events.

That's a pretty tall order as console development involves buy in from the console companies which is a big hurdle that does not exist at all on PC.

Is there anyway I can back this for a PS4 version of the game? Digital or otherwise.
