Can someone show me some of these infamous "squiddy threads"? I don't browse anything except my subscriptions most of the time, so I have no idea what you're talking about. :(

Once upon a time, I was but a humble squidling lounging about comfortably and exploring the breadth & depth of NeoGAF. It was a forum, in which users could both create and post in threads. You could imagine my joy, as I immediately begun to contribute to the great GAF reaches.

But... alas, sometimes one's posts ended up not appreciated, and one's threads locked down. One time, a particularly sorrowful evening, a thread I had created - poured my blood, sweat, and tears into - offended the powers that be... and my thread creating powers were removed.

My mum worked at a nursing home for more than ten years. She was never a warm or extra kind woman but seeing her with residents was like seeing a different person. She was even extra nice to the little old lady that would lecture her on going to hell.

Haha yeah this job has given me the patience of a saint. I've got one that says god bless you and starts praying. That creeps me out a bit.
 
So I have started to catalogue my entire magic the gathering collection on mtgprice.com.

I'm not even half way through the first box and I am up to over 500 dollars in cards.

I have enough stored away to open my own magic shop o.O

Holy shit. I played Magic once or twice as a kid. I was all about the Star Wars CCG (by Decipher in the mid to late 90s). I believe I still have all my cards, though I doubt they have much value. Time to take a look.

I'd been playing since around 95, didn't think any of mine were really valuable either, but apparently Deckmaster cards are uber rare now o.O

Will you sell any of your collection now that you know there's some cash value?

And it doesn't appear the Star Wars CCG from Decipher really held any sort of notable value.

I know that, but I don't know if that makes me lucky or not.

It only takes one trigger-happy mod though, one that has banned people in this thread. Good thing there isn't mod who has done that, right TDM!

Yeah, I have a few things around that I probably SHOULD sell. Like steelbook Metroid Prime Trilogy. GameCube component cables. Etc. Relatively valuable and I never touch 'em.

I've been holding onto a 20,000-30,000ish (quick estimate) sports card collection from when I was a kid (and a little bit when I was a young adult with disposable income lol). I have nothing terribly valuable that I'm aware of. I guess a Topps Finest Lebron James rookie would be it, but it's not graded or anything.
