Retro Studios is wholly owned by Nintendo. In what way are they "effectively second party"?

I also would certainly not say that they have no time commitments, as they've spoken about how much they had to rush development on Metroid Prime 2: Echoes to reach its holiday 2004 launch.

I'm hoping for a new item tonight. We haven't had one in a while, and I'm hoping the next character reveal doesn't happen until Diddy Kong for Tropical Freeze's release.

I hope we get some more info on game mechanics. Stuff like that brings good discussion for hours.

Also, how long has it been since we've seen a Wii U stage? It's been a while...
 
Guys don't put too much into that Two Tribes thing. A tweet one of the devs sent out made it sound like there would be nothing more than a huge indie sell.

That said it's still very likely we're getting a Direct soon.

I don't care if Marth still speaks japanese. I just don't want the same voice recordings from 2001.

All assets from character models and animations to sound samples should be as new as possible! It's easier if these characters actually have english VAs already.
