LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Demo (Xbox One)

Pretty short demo. Just has you fight a few stages of LEGO sandman. Game seemed decent enough, but I hated the way they tell you how to solve every puzzle. Not sure if that is just a tutorial thing

I also enjoyed the demo but didn't get to play through the whole thing. Does it let you free roam at all? Or is it constrained to just the sandman stuff?

Is the 2 player co-op fun? How does the dynamic split screen work?

No free roaming as far as I can tell, which is annoying because the game tells you about stuff that requires spiderman, but you can't go back once you have spiderman.

Did not try co-op but I did connect a second controller to try out the split-screen and it's pretty awesome. Normally there is no split screen, but if one player gets out of range, it will split it and their screen will move around based on where they are relative to other player. So if they're ahead, they'll be at the top, but if they go behind their split will rotate to the bottom. Splits horizontally as well. It's neat since it works even when the other player is in the 1v1 boss fight

A bit strange to see it releasing on XB1 so late.

But anyway, I haven't played the full game but I think the demo doesn't present the game in a very good way. The demo is very, very narrow.

Oh cool, thanks for posting this. I've been debating getting this game.

The game is totally worth getting. I put about 42 hours into the game getting the platinum trophy for it on PS4. The open world actually has a ton of missions to do, and while some can get repetitive there are some that require the powers of characters that aren't unlocked through the main game so you have to work towards completing those.

I tried it out I really like how the game transitions into splitscreen while playing co-op, that was something I've never seen before, and it's much better than having a fixed distance between the two characters. I couldn't finish the demo though cause I got stuck haha. Idk if I'm dumb but I couldn't figure out how to get past a wall that needed to be sprayed with water.

you need to use iron man to turn the scattered legos into a water cannon

I got it for the PS4 and thought it was going to be a "silly lame kids game" Lego Marvel is by far the game I have played the most on the PS4, my friends included.

It turns into an open world game after about 2 hours. You can rob (politely take) cars, Do races, or just fly around the city. You can even dive from an airship all the way down to the city,
Thanks. Really liked the demo, might pick this one up.

Didn't realize the game was so open (and the demo does not convey this at all). Considering purchasing now as I need more local co-op games.

The main story levels are linear and in separate "zones" than the hub. But there are sidequests that you can stumble across in the hub.

There are like 100 escort missions in the hub
The worst type of mission
That by itself make this the worst game ever by default

Oh, wow... another person with a Nintendo avatar who hates this game. What a surprise.

Searching through the dashboard and found this game under: "Snappable Games"

How does that work?

Has nobody with the game tried this? It's apparently the first Xbox One game that can be snapped.

I just tried it with the demo but it didn't work.

You gotta remember these games are meant for parents and small children to play together. That said, this was the first Lego Game where I got stuck.
