Shocking News: Titanfall to get Beta on PC and Xbox One

Awesome news. My Xbone is ready!

I suppose this will be like Destiny, where people that pre-order get beta access? Or does EA have the balls to make you buy a $60 retail game to get beta access (like Halo 3 and Gears of War 3)?

EA doesn't have anything big coming in the next few weeks, so I really doubt that.

What? 14th-19th? My birthday and all the days I took off work? PC beta?

Maybe there is a god after all. Be still my heart.

"Get your beta access code now! Included in every copy of Plants Versus Zombies: Garden Warfare."

Or they could just give it to Battlefield 4 owners as a thank you for dealing with that game's fuckups.

Purchase required? Surely it can't be an open beta..

Or that.

PC Beta fuck yeah!

Give it to us early to say "We're Sorry!" but at the same time I don't want Titanfall associated with EA/DICE's fuckup on BF4.

I'm pretty sure they only gave alpha invites to Battlefield 4 players, so it'd be weird to do that again. And I don't think Garden Warfare is the right kind of synergy for a Titanfall demo.

I hate their TOS and refuse to support their service because of it.
Origin support is miles ahead of Steam, not to mention Origin lets you get a full refund within 24 hours after the purchase. Thousands of people (me included) wouldn't have got fucked over by Gearbox and SEGA after the Aliens: CM debacle if Steam had the same policy.

Origin refunds are only for EA published games. It's a bit different when you're dealing with thousands of different publishers.

Bluepoint? Nice. Bluepoint's top men, and I'm super excited to see how the 360 version turns out.

Now to the point at hand; PC TITANFALL BETA. LETS GO

What's this? A PC Beta?

I'm still a bit guarded, but I can't wait to try out this game. It will have a vast PC gaming community, that's for sure.

Does anyone think that an Intel HD 4000 GPU & 8 GBs of RAM will be enough?

Hope its open. I still remember the Modern Warfare beta completely selling me on that game. Hopefully this has the same effect.

How long was the Modern Warfare beta? I don't actually remember it due to the fact that I wasn't interested in CoD4 until right at its release/right after its release.

Wow I never thought there was an Origin defense force on GAF.

Did they change the part where if you're banned from Origin they take all your games away from you? If so maybe I'll give it another shot. It's just hard to give EA the benefit of the doubt after how Origin launched and what they've done for all their other games.

Who is running the servers MS or EA?

Microsoft Azure dedicated servers will be powering the 360, One, and PC versions.

Infinite Power of the Cloud™

I'd love to be wrong but it's an EA game. It's going to require Origin.

There is a possibility that Respawn can self-publish on Steam via historical precedent set by past EA Partners games.

I've just been advising people to play the wait and see approach.
