Super Smash Bros Wii U & 3DS Thread 4: New Year, Old Arguments

Part of me is thing red herring but another cynical part of me can't deny those wings emerging from the statue. BUT Palutena doesn't have fucking wiiiiiiings. So confused..

Okay, after realizing that the stage is from Ch 1 of KI:U and that it is called The Return of Palutena, I am calling it. Palutena will be in the next big direct.

TBF it's kinda hard not to notice the giant Palutena statue with the ethereal angel wings in that level :P

Some five minutes after I posted that, I then suddenly remembered how I replayed through that chapter last week and slapped myself for not recognizing it.

Assuming you are referring to the Disney design:
aLttP/OoA/OoS/LA Link has covered arms whereas Peter Pan has bare arms.
Link has bare legs whereas Peter is wearing tights.
Link has a long green hat with a yellow band whereas Peter has a short hat with no hand and a feather in it.

If you are going to crack an awful joke at least use facts

Remember it is CANON FACT that OoT Link was killed by Ganon which meant aLttP Link would have to clean up his mess. Also note he did this without even have the Triforce of Courage unlike other Links because Ganon had it all. Then when that wasn't enough he went and saved two other kingdoms and then when all monsters in the world were dead all that was left was to kill the monsters in dreams. Then ALBW comes out and shows that the world has been at peace for centuries and requires evil from ANOTHER DIMENSION to pose danger to the world.

So OoT Link left the world in ruin vs aLttP/OoA/OoS/LA Link leaving the world in its most glorious age.

That is what facts look like.
 
I beat the game already, but not everyone has, a lot of people have probably started playing the game ever since that leak. But you edited your post so all is good.
 
Hmmm... so one can't compare the face since the statue hardly has any details there or the graphics (3DS vs Wii).

There was some talk about the staff being closer to the Brawl version. So anyone able to say if this staff is closer to the one found in Brawl or Uprising?

There is a post in the other thread pointing out it's the shorter Brawl staff.

All I know is that the statue is longer than the leak model, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything since it's a statue and they generally by design, have less detail than people. Also; according to people over at smashboards , the uprising statue also has detail and design inconsistencies like the lack of charms, etc.

Another point about the shorter leak model's staff is if she is playable and strikes with her staff, it can't be too long for the sake of her hotboxes.

I think what's going on in that gif is so low quality and hard to see that the only people that could know if anything is being spoiled are people that have already played the game.
 
The clincher for me that all but confirms the leak is the statues face. It's very rounded and cherubic just like the 3ds model leak and unlike uprising and Brawl's model.

This is the place where you fighting palutena(because she is controlled by an enemy) in this game, so it's a teasing.
