I've zoomed in, and I find the face a bit chubby with a rounded chin, like the leaked/faked screens.
Yes I know lol, but it isn't a conclusion just an assumption.
might LOOK LIKE, but ...
Pink - Completly diferent staff
Green - much more tight armor
White - Diferent hair bang lenght (much longer)
Blue - lack of jewelry
Red - completly lack of that rope thing
Might be a 3DS-WiiU diference, but the staff tells me otherwise
#TeamFake might have less people, but it is as stronger as ever ! >=O
The "leak" was certainly faked, but the fact that a background element representing a character differs from the playable depiction of the character is hardly fuel for either camp.

Late to the party but wow. A remade Sky World was one of my stage predictions, now if only I was right about there being an alternate Chapter 20 version and I'll be completely right.
Interesting. The Brawl's staff arches have straight edges on the top side but they are completely smooth on the statue.

Hilariously enough that I predicted that we are getting Kid Icarus Wii U stage last night. I'm pleased with the stage. It look fantastic. I ponder if we are getting brawl stage as returning stage. I have an odd feeling with new stage is more likely to be Palutena's stage.

And thinking about, the lack of the rope thing and the simplification of the belt decorations basicaly confirms that she is playable since the physics of this would be too complicated for such small details (unlike Marth's cape, which receives awesome cape physics)

I really hope that we are getting underworld stage as well, but I doubt that now.
Anyway, did anyone noticed that Palutena's Dress edge is different as well. Smash Wii U's Palutena had dots on her edge, awhile Leak's Palutena had patterns of yellow and red but I don't see any dots.

It's more likely to be Nintendo Direct's announcement but I wouldn't be surprised if Sakurai want to prolong the announcement so he can troll the audiences.
Sakurai teased us with an image of the Mario Galaxy stage, then we got no news on that for a month until it was properly shown off.

Which, if leak is real, isn't anything new because Link in the 3DS version is, for the most part, looks like his Brawl counterpart and looks a bit different from his SSB4 incarnation.

I'm not familiar with how the statue is supposed to look like in uprising however. It would make sense if there were differences. (like the ornaments)

Would it be possible for the statue to be from an earlier iteration of the Palutena model? It would be better for the background elements to have less polygons than a player model, wouldn't it? (Disclaimer, I don't know much about 3d modeling, so be gentle with me if I'm way off base
)The most impressive part of that is that nobody made a joke that when Palutena is playing, Riddley take her place as the big statue in the background =P

Maybe, but I don't know why it would be more of a current design than her playable form. Statue has the Uprising staff, longer bangs like Uprising, and the rings on her arm are thinner.

Yeah, it sold very well on 3DS from what I remembered.
Hey, I wasn't saying anything about Palutena's chances (in that post).
It's not unheard of for companies to announce new products in investor calls, but that's not their purpose. Don't go in expecting anything.

I hope Launch Window. That's all I'm asking for. It's more likely to fall in Q2/Q3 if my prediction is correctly.
It's where a company discusses its plans for the new financial period in order to convince their investors that it's still worth keeping their stock in.
We may hear about release dates, but they're probably not going to show the games themselves.
I don't think we're getting a direct until late into February.
They usually show stuff as an example of where they are going i.e. if they are discussing online plans they'll show a game that makes use of it. This may not be new stuff i.e. they could show Mario Kart 8 while discussing online on Wii U.
