Japanese Release Date is Feb 13 for DKCR2. Nope, 5 days between Sonic and Toon Link.

The shortest time between character reveals so far was Toon Link (Sep 26) and Sonic (Oct 1), which was 5 days, followed by Rosalina (Dec 18) and Zelda (Dec 26), which was 8 days.

I mean while I can tell Brawl is slower than Melee, something in the exact middle between the two games would be too hard for me to tell if it was slower than Melee or not. I'm not that great competitively so only the most obvious of changes in Brawl ever stuck out to me before playing Project M.

I see a couple of possibilities when DKC: Tropical Freeze's Japanese release rolls around in a couple of weeks. Either there's no Nintendo Direct and we get a Diddy veteran reveal, or there is and a new Smash trailer that reveals a Diddy + Dixie tag-team or Dixie herself as a newcomer is part of it.
I'm hoping it's the latter!

All this Lucario hate is news to me. And I can't believe these people are convinced Lucario means no Mewtwo.
What, did they think that they were going to cut Lucario and replace him with Mewtwo? That's outrageous.

I don't think 2 character reveals for February would be out of the question. Diddy could get revealed on the release date for DKC: Tropical Freeze while some other character could get revealed during a Nintendo Direct. And every main Direct (the bimonthly ones) has had a character reveal so I'm fairly certain that trend will continue.
Who's worthy to be revealed in a Direct though? People say Diddy could get revealed in a Direct, but so far only important characters have gotten Direct reveals. August had Luigi for Year of Luigi, October had Sonic because a returning 3rd party character is big news, and December had Rosalina who is a newcomer. Maybe there's hope for Palutena!

Haha, I second that. Then again, we haven't seen much and have only seen one full match from an early build. It'll be impossible to draw any serious conclusions about Smash 4's speed or competitive significance until the game is actually out.
My bet is that it still has an awfully low skill ceiling compared to Melee, though, but I doubt it'll be as awful as Brawl was in that regard. On the plus side, though, we have PM to fill the void for competitive Smash!

When exactly did Lucario get all this hatred? Why does everyone keep thinking his inclusion deconfirms Mewtwo? Why do people think he deliberately appeals to furries? Why? Why why why why why why why why why why.
So many whys, I don't know what to do with them.
I'm guessing that most of the Lucario hatred comes from the fact that most of those people posting were fans of Pokemon Red/Blue and don't like or care about the newer Pokemon.
