http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-to-stay-with-packers-but-eyeballing-seattle/

Finley will be a free agent on March 11. He wants to stay with the Packers. But he’s willing to leave, if need be.

“I said it once before, I want to be a Packer for life,” Finley said. “But we all know this is a business and the Packers are going to take it as a business but at the same time, I was playing at a high level when I got injured. But at the end of the day, I can go give any team what they need and take them to the promised land, I can guarantee you that.”

Finley said he’s eyeballing a team that already is on the verge of getting to the promised land.

“I mean there’s a couple of teams I would love and would be on the first flight out to play with but like I said the Packers are going to come at me with something and I’m going to go to them first and see what they’ve got and if it’s not I would love to be on the first flight out to good old Seattle,” Finley said.

Greg... I... I'm at a loss for words...

Well its not like NFL cares what fans want. I was just thinking about how they are attempting to spread the game and get more money. I wonder if games in soccer stadiums outside of London and into Europe would fare for regular season NFL

Monster!

Also are we really only at 1450 posts on the Friday before the Super Bowl? THE FUCKING SUPER BOWL?

Shouldn't have split the threads up. Feel like I have to post in both.

Broncos and Hawks fans have an amiable respect pact going on. Trash talking is at a low because the game could really go either way.
I need to go back and look at that Broncos-Jaguars game, because it was our old Gus Bradley running a Carroll-like defense with vastly inferior players than ours and giving the Broncos absolute fits for three quarters.

Can't audible if there's not much to audible for! We don't send extra men often and we run a lot of the same coverages.

Funny, because I also remember three quarters ol' Seattle was getting roasted by Schoob and company down in Houston. Broncos can certainly do the same if we are going to judge teams on past performances; but the end result of the Jags game was a win. Denver adjusted and won, just like Seattle did in Houston.

Plenty of slop in that game for the Broncos offense and yet they still scored 5 TDs on that defense which has decent talent. 3 turnovers, 1 legit bad int by Peyton and two botched snaps. Hardly a game one could say that could be used to crack some code you've been hinting at. You want to see a game in which they were beat down? SD second matchup. Manhandled and controlled, especially on the lines. That's how you are going to do it, control the line of scrimmage and game clock. Get a lead and keep Manning off the field.

That Jags game is about as pertinent as when you guys played the Texans or the Bucs. Are those blueprints to beating the Seahawks? I highly doubt it, different personnel different game plan.

Plus I would hardly call 28 points after 3 quarters fits.

as much as we shit on the Jags, I wouldn't call their secondary vastly inferior,

they have a good pass defense.

EDIT: I'm surprised people are only talking about this offense vs. defense match up. both these teams have playmakers on STs, and it may very well come down to that.

Don't know if its been posted but today Pete Carroll gave a "mock halftime speech" per ESPN.

I wonder how that went, but Pete is a great coach. John Fox has been more of a defensive coach throughout his coaching career, so its going to be Peyton Mannings offensive calls on the field vs. Pete Carrolls' defensive playcalling.

Remember that Carroll started his career as a defensive back coach so it'll be fascinating to watch how he decides to scheme against Peyton and the slew of receivers he has and how Peyton will audible based on what he see's on the field.

This is honestly going to be one of the most interesting Super Bowls in terms of how well these two match up to each other.

yeah, it's the first superbowl I've been genuinely excited about in a long while.

Seattle can have Finley. He's one of the biggest underachievers the Packers have ever had.

True but I feel bad for the guy, never the same player after 2009.

I tried to feel bad for him. But way too many drops and celebrating routine catches like he just won the Super Bowl really soured me.

I'm biased because my team is in it, but trying to look at it objectively, I fail to see how it's not the most exciting Superbowl matchup in years. It's (arguably) the actual 2 best teams in the league, from start to finish, that made it to the end - not one or two that just got hot, healthy or lucky at the right time - and they seem to match up perfectly for an exciting, hard fought game.

We'll see if we end up getting a great game out of it, you never can tell, but with team loyalties aside, this is easily one of the best couple of matchups that you could hand pick this year.

Actually, the game against the Texans was rather informative for the other matchup. Collapse our offensive line and we fold, and other teams followed suit!

As I'm here in SF, I want to see Seattle burrrrrrnnnnnn.

As a whiskey drinker, Denver produces some of the best in the States outside of Kentucky.

So I will be cheering on the Broncos, and a bottle of Stranahan's will be emptied by me and my mates.

To victory!

We would of never gotten chris.trejo jnc moment on this side of the planet! So therefore its worth it!

I'm not a poor.
The small ones were 4 for a dollar.

I need better avacado markets. Up here to the places I found avacados they sell them at 1 price. Usually 1.50 to 2.50 per

How you going to make it, I never attempted to make homemade guac

They're gonna show the SB on a huge screen in my student apartment complex' bar.

I wish I wasn't studying and could get pissed. I wish I didn't hate both teams.

Could've been awesome.

but the collective breath sigh of relief when the Patriots lost to the Broncos was heard around the world. Riots would have been everywhere. Woomen would be raped in the streets and towns would be pillaged. Get drunk and be happy. You good people Mich even if you make poor nfl choices.

I seriously think they would have given anyone a run for their money that day. Tim threw the ball really well that game. Defense played well. If Tim could play like that somewhat consistently he would be back in no time. Especially with some of the QBs teams dumped out this year.

No he didn't. He only hit on 50 percent of his passes and that game only ever got to overtime because of how awful he was in the second half.

He hit about 3 deep passes and the DT 80 yard slant and that was enough to win that game. It wasn't surprising because Tebow has a better than average deep ball and was given zero coverage all day. What you witnessed that day was the absolute best Tebow could ever play without improving his short passes.

That said, it was an incredible game and one hell of a ride that season. I just had the sense that the wheels were eventually going to come off all season.

I like Trejo, but I laugh at you guys getting worked up over a couple if blurry butt and cleavage shots. There is a different feel between this thread and that thread though so you are right there.

It's only one night.

Live a little. All work and no play doesn't matter because Pats fans suck regardless.

I knew someone would challenge that. I'm aware he was 10/21 that day. I still think for Tebow he threw well that day. More decisive than he had been prior, and some nice passes during the game. I don't think the numbers necessarily reflected his performance. And yes DT taking one to the house certainly helped, but if you go back Tebow recognized that particular defense and knew immediately where to go. DT was set up for success by McCoy then by Tebow on that play, he just had to finish it. I still feel like it was one of the better games he played that year.

We sparked that crazy run to the playoffs too...in typical Dolphins fashion.

Fanhood is never a choice bro.

Gauc:

4 soft avocados - they should give like clay when squeezed.

salt, pepper, pinch of crushed garlic , splash of Tabasco, dash of lime juice, very finely diced shallot, or small amount of red onion.

smash into lumpy paste, serve immediately.

if you want it to stretch further add sour cream.
