I'm working during the Super Bowl, but a nearby wing place is offering 20% off any orders before 2:00 PM. So I'm going to splurge and get some food for the entire floor. Some other guys are going to chip in as well to help with the costs.

Essentially, I'm getting this:

Unfortunately they're getting packed with orders, so I was limited to only two wing sauces. Still, we're in for some good eating.

Made my wings for tomorrow, got the ribs ready to go as well.

I love the Super Bowl, even if both teams represent all that is evil. This is the closest thing to religion in my life.

Fuck my life bro my 60 inch TV broke the day before the superbowl.

That sucks man =(

Looks really yummy!

In case I forget tomorrow morning, GO BRONCOS.

Mom is cooking me a nice dinner for my Birthday tomorrow, so probably wont be on during the game.

I want all of that right now.

Time Square was nuts today. I don't know why they still let traffic through with the amount of foot traffic they have going through the area and all the special construction for the SB.

When I first got in, I was a little worried by how many Seahawk fans there were. As I got closer to time square though that number evened out. Seem to be an even representation of both fan bases. Seen plenty of friends going as fans of the opposing teams as well. We can live in happy peace.

Can't wait for tomorrow. My iPhone battery is practically dead now and can't hold a charge for very long so I may not be able to post during the game (much less take any photos). I'll be thinking of best-GAF though!

Go Broncos!

Is there an OT for superbowl ads? I noticed a number of different threads for ones that have been released already, and teasers for ads, wasn't sure if there was going to be a central location to discuss them.

It means I got something to give a Chief rival trouble for. Lives in Colorado, states he loves the mountains, yet roots for the Chefs. He is as low as a gata.

Colorado has a lot of out of state fans, more than other places I have visited. Likely due to Colorado having such a huge influx of people from all over the country the last 20-30 years.

But once you're here, you root for the Broncos first and your old town team second!

This is all jokes and fun and games. Or did you never follow NFL-GAF?

for someone who lives in australia and is clueless about the NFL and american football, who has the better chance of winning the superbowl according to 'experts' and so on - denver or seattle? are they regarded as fairly equally skilled teams? i'm a big NBA fan so an a basketball analogy could be useful!

edit: just realised i posted in the offseason thread as well, my bad.

For the first time in a long time, I might not be at/host a Super Bowl party. I don't even remember what it's like to watch the Super Bowl at home with no guests.

Dont worry thats the better thread anyways ;)

This Super Bowl made me realize that I'm a terrible person. I told my Broncos friend that if I'm Chancellor and see Welker trying to set an illegal pick, I'm headhunting and knocking him out of the game.

Think 90's Bulls vs Pistons. Great (in this case best) offense vs great (also the best) defense and both like to play dirty.

Edit: Sorry for double post.

ah yeah, Super Bowl day is upon us. Will be watching trough the night with friends. Became like a tradition since 12 years now.
I have no real favorite, but Mannings Story would be great with a victory today.

Happpy Birthday! It is my brother's birthday as well. He is turning 35. He's a Patriots fan, so I was half rooting for them to be in the this game as that would've caused a lot of back and forth banter today.

Prepping now to get to the gym, then get home around noon and play my Madden league game, and then watch the Capitals games for the matinee, and then some chores and whatnot, and then the game!!!!

You're German -> the Patriots are closest to your location -> The Patriots are your hometown team -> you always root for your hometown team -> Peyton is the enemy -> You wish nothing but the worst upon him.

I know Germans have a hard time with patriotism, but sometimes you need to show some pride!
