Holy shit, I cant believe it, Seattle won a championship. I've lived in Seattle for most of my life, I watched the Sonics get blasted by MJ in 96, I watched the Mariners screw it up in 2001, I watched the Hawks blow it in 2006

This is awesome. I've never felt this before, it feels great.

That said, I want to say GG to Broncos GAF and extend my love to yall, yall are awesome. I wish you all the best

Congratulations Seattle Seahawks. Great performance. Great win.

Remember me as the person who welcomed all and was gracious to all. Remember me ShaneB as the person who welcomed you even though many said you were jumping on the bandwagon. Remember me Rando as your friend, regardless of the haters. Remember me Cdy as the person who enjoyed the Northwest for all it's beauty. You've earned this victory, and always remember the first one, as it is a sweet, sweet, memory that you must cherish forever as a fan. Congrats to you my brothers.

Good year Broncos, we've been here before, we never give up, we never die, and we will always be back, no matter how terrible the defeat. Whenever we get knocked down, we always get back up, whether it be GAF, the Superbowl, or in life. The dream never dies. We are in good hands, and no matter what we will be back. Tough loss, but we've been here before. Scrape yourself up, clean yourself off, and look forward.

Godslay I got so much love for you man, you're my boy. GG my friend.

amazing stuff

Legion of BOOM indeed

Skip Bayless/Smith were so damn wrong :D Wouldn't be surprised if they play the weather/fans card

Congrats! Wings and beer on you!

I wasn't very surprised at all. They overhyped the Broncos and Peyton so much, it wasn't funny. I didn't expect them to do that terribly though. Thought they'd at least be a challenge for the Hawks.

I'm a Seahawks fan though, so...
What kind of fucking fan wants their team to underperform?

You're the absolute worst! You should be enjoying this!

Enjoy it Rando. You've earned it. Congrats brother. Nothing but love.

I know it's too early for this shit, but assuming Denver stays the same, is there any team in the AFC that will stand in their way again? Cincy? A healthier NE?

A healthy Patriot team can compete with Denver. They did beat them this year though and if they dont lose Gronkowski they probably get the #1 seed.

I am for one shocked that Denver did such a bad job. At some points it almost looked like the Super Bowl rules were drawn up by the WWE. Seriously. Denver looked like they didn't want to even try and run the ball or defend. They looked like prop moves from the guy you see in the ring who is supposed to lose the fight. The bitter irony is the last time a team lost so badly was in the 90's when SF did the same thing... to them.

I wanted the Seahawks to win and I am happy for them and the 12th man. It was well deserved and their ring is long overdue.

Seattle D was just that fast and physical. Denver saw nothing like it all season.

Just read that the FCC will be launching an investigation into FOX and all the affiliates who broadcast the Superbowl for possible violations of the FCC rules and regulations.

Apparently it's against the rules to broadcast a murder live on tv.

Russell Wilson didn't win Super Bowl MVP what??!?! Dude is big time, draft steal.
You gotta give it to the guy who was truly most valuable to the game's outcome. Everyone did an awesome job including Wilson, but it had to go to somebody on the defense and LB Malcolm Smith with his pick 6 and forced fumble is as deserving as any of them.

Wilson's TDs came after the game was already over, really. My vote was either Malcom or Harvin.

lol @ the mattress/couch fire on Frat Row, I can guarantee it's probably SigEp like it always is

I understand, but Denver should have been able to get at least two TD's on the board, even knowing how epic Seattle's defense is. I think they were clearly having some collective anxiety issues with Peyton wondering where the hell his team went off to.

Cincy hasn't figured out how to win in the postseason. Dalton hasn't played well at all in the playoffs.

The Pats are on the decline and one can only hope that a team in the East can get their shit together and bury them.

The Colts are dangerous. The Chiefs are dangerous.

I think the Broncos are the best team in the AFC but you can see what happens when they don't show up.

Pats have a shot, but they need some sort of weapon from the offseason otherwise it'll end the same.

That's just the kind of D we play. Force the other team to churn it out with short gains and then create turnovers with all the extra chances!

Sure, we gave up some chunk yards, but not enough to let them back in the game.

And now you have Robinson Cano and
Cory Hart!!!!
Enjoy : )

I am enjoying it! I didn't want the Seahawks to underperform. They played amazingly! Made some awesome plays. I just wanted the Broncos to play good too. Otherwise, it's just sad to watch (in a funny way).

If Gronk is healthy and they are able to get a FA WR or a draft one, I think they are back.

A healthy Pats team is as good, if not better than the Broncos.

Dalton-less Bengals, too, likely.

It really would have been boring if I wasn't Hawk-Gaf. This is what this season and team needed. Everyone I would talk to is still bitter about 05 and the Steelers, we finally won something!

Well, us playing great means the Broncos look like shit. Just how it goes!

Obviously growing up watching the Steelers year after year (despite this poor excuse of a season for them), it would take a lot for me to be impressed, but I've gotta hand it to Seattle. Teams are going to be modeling their defense (or desperately trying to anyway) after what they are doing right now. Next level stuff. It was just amazing to watch, it's like a machine.

Yeah, the AFC is just very weak right now
...which is weird because for the longest time AFC was always considered the best, generally. You could say the rules changing to accommodate an offensive team had a lot to do with that, but then you look at what Seattle just did and it is hard to make that point.
