I think you're right. Our defense is pretty damn good, considering how little relief they get from the offense. We've just had such a horrible time fielding a full, competent O line and QB. Shit feels awful every season.

As for the HC...pray for us. Hard to be a Browns fan. :(

But I love em anyway :D

Firing the HC sounds like the right thing to be honest, with all the crap that was coming out of that locker room, I just don't see him being the guy to win them back. They have some damn good pieces and their defense is pretty damn good as well. Not sure why everybody was saying this was the worst of the openings... they have 2 first round picks, 2 young dangerous offensive weapons in Gordon and Cameron, and like I said a damn good defense.

It's more about being able work with that front office. If a coach is able to work with them, they're in a pretty good situation.

I went to Capitol Hill to party with everyone in the streets here in Seattle.

When is Welkers wife gonna take to twitter to get after all those meanies on the seahawks? Hasn't he cried enough?

It definitely sounded like a pro Seahawks crowd, which I found VERY surprising. Super Bowl crowds are usually pretty calm and corporate, but the 12th man was definitely in attendance.
Man, good thing they designed Metlife stadium for crowd noise!

Congrats Seattle. Been awhile since we had a blowout. Seeing Denver get their shit pushed in for the SB was nostalgic for us old guys.

Seattle was the superior team but I thought the Broncos coaching staff really shit the bed. The game was not out of hand in the first half and i felt the Broncos were pressing too much on offense and throwing too much when the game was still competitive. No one can throw on Seattle but a lot of teams have run on them. Might have been a closer game if they had run the ball better and pushed their defense around. I was afraid that might happen before the game but I thought Peyton was smart enough to play it safe and not fall into their hands. That was 2003 playoff Peyton not what I have seen more recently.
Actually, we cleaned up our run defense later in the season. San Fran gave us issues because they still had Kaep even though we shut down Gore.

Congrats Hitokage, element, Maynerd, bluemax, and all other Seahawks fans. I'm glad for you guys, though I wish it would have been a better game. Best team in the league from wire to wire.

I didn't expect that at all. Figured we'd get a good game, some defensive stops but ultimately the Broncos would go on a couple big drives at least. Commanding victory for Seattle, grats.

The Brady/Manning debate has been settled, once and for all.

Do you honestly think Brady and the Patriots would have been able to beat the Seahawks in this game today? Great defenses make both Brady and Manning lose.

I am for one shocked that Denver did such a bad job. At some points it almost looked like the Super Bowl rules were drawn up by the WWE. Seriously. Denver looked like they didn't want to even try and run the ball or defend. They looked like prop moves from the guy you see in the ring who is supposed to lose the fight. The bitter irony is the last time a team lost so badly was in the 90's when SF did the same thing... to them.

I wanted the Seahawks to win and I am happy for them and the 12th man. It was well deserved and their ring is long overdue.

Denver actually has 3 of the 4 worst losses in Super Bowl history,

48-10 vs Washington
55-10 vs San Francisco
43-8 vs Seattle

The common denominator in the three largest losses, John Elway.

And the other two that they lost were by 17 (Dallas) and 19 (New York Giants) points.

Congrats to Seattle.

What a horrible game. Seriously, bad game. So many crappy mental and physical blunders. It was like I eas watching the lions play

Come'on now, let's not go that bad. Detroit has a few good games here and there.

I say more Notre Dame vs Alabama last year.

You are saying you actually believe that fans in Seattle are literally just louder human beings than fans of other teams? Lulz

Anyway congrats to the Seattle diehards, that city deserves a sports title. And bigger congrats to Pete Carroll. Dude is a true boss and now has a college and NFL title under his belt. Suck on that shit, boston fans.

Congrats Seahawks fans, best defense I have seen in years and defenses ALWAYS win championships.

That said I never expected Manning and the Broncos to lay down and die like that. Embarrassing. That looked like a Dolphins performance.

Stuff most nfl commentators won't say. Like he got all the praise, not the team for the calls at the line and success. And so he gets the blame for getting blown out. Things like that.

Deion has always hated on Manning. Tonight he must be thrilled. Not that Manning doesn't deserve blame tonight but that was a giant team loss. And no great offense was going to beat the Seahawks in this game.

Game reminded me of the Raiders vs. Bucs superbowl when Oakland's top ranked offense went up against Warren Sapp and that infamous Tampa D

It actually reminded me more of the 55-10 beat down SF put on Denver back in 89\90.

Denver, in both games, never really got into a rhythm and by the time they did, the game was already over.

i think it has to do with that one game when manning and harrison embarrassed him back in the day.

Oh my god downtown Seattle was so awesome tonight

The folks and myself watching the game could not stop laughing the entire second half

ESPN already talking like we're a dynasty. Way premature!

A new year always brings new challenges. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.
