Why? It makes sense. It's not their fault. People is becoming annoying because they deleted what? 3 cards? They changed a swimsuit? Seriously.

If everytime they censore a game they have to stand some angry fans spouting bullshit, they'd just and publish games without those problems.

I'll probably pass on that game, but I understand why they're upset.

They seem to be in a lose lose situation where they will either get these type of games banned along with complaints, or have angry fans boycotting the games just because they're 'censored'.

I'd pick the easy option as well to publish a game that avoids this headache all together.

I don't understand, I'd rather have a game I always wanted to play in a native language instead of not having it all. Those fans get the choice to play this game, while some fans don't get to play stuff like FF Type-0, Valkyria Chronicles 3 and Legend of Heroes games.

It all depends with every situation with how much is removed or censored. Iosing on those revealing looking cards (that you get to keep but with repeated and less revealing artwork), is not game breaking.

I think that people being against censor just for the sake of it can be too radical sometimes.

do people really want dubs? (I presume that takes up the most time and effort)

give me Japanese voices + English subs any day!

I don't think you can deactivate Vita devices remotely from the computer. I've been trying to find a way to deactivate my Vita that I sold to buy my new one and can't, it just tells me to do it on the system itself when I click deactivate. None of their FAQs answer this either :/

It's odd because I could swear I deactivated it before I sent it off. But it's still showing up in my devices list.

You can't deactivate a single device remotely. I don't know why Sony keeps that option around in the web interface, maybe it is for other media stuff.
You can only deactivate all of your devices together remotely.

Also, the device list doesn't seem to update correctly, had the problem myself once when there were several PS3s in my list which had been deactivated. After I deactivated all my devices together everything was fine.

For those asking Natural Doctrine is a turn based srpg, it seems to have some similarities with Valkyria Chronicles, Deception 4 is a sort of strategy/puzzle game where you kill invaders placing the right traps in the right places in sequence, a sort of sadic The Incredible Machine.

Deception 4 set-up feels pretty creepy *weak hearted* It looks like it could be a decent game that is unique and pretty good looking. It's just too much to have an entire game about torture in various grotesque ways. I won't be able to sleep at night with a game like that D:

I don't know if I'd say it hurts their cause, but this section could have been worded better:

If those same fans find that the modifications we felt we had to make have made the localized version of the game completely unacceptable, perhaps it was not the right decision to try to localize and publish this title for these markets. Perhaps it would be in the best interest of both our fans and our Company to publish only those titles that will not require any censoring or modification.

IF is essentially saying "if this doesn't sell, then we won't publish similar titles." Which is fair enough, but having the preceding statement say "if those same fans" makes it seem like the responsibility is on those interested in game. And, by extension, that if the game doesn't do well then it's because of the fans and their displeasure towards censorship.

Personally, the quote rubbed me the wrong way when I read it, but I think it was just a wording issue. The problem is the wording suggests that if the MM sells poorly, it's gamers that are at fault for not liking changes. So even though IF probably didn't mean it, it just comes off as a slight against the fanbase.

All that being said, I'm fine with the changes they made to the game. I understand that Western and Eastern cultures are very different, so it makes that a few of the more risque images have to be removed. I also don't think IF was trying to say "if we don't make publish anymore games like this, it's your fault," it just came off that way from reading it initially.

I was referring to the bolded. I understand why they have to censor it. But they make it sound as if it's some sort of hostage situation. "If you don't like the fact that we have to censor some games, you only get the games we won't censor." As I said I still want and intend to purchase the game. But that came off as very off putting.

It's actually a removal of the art of 50 out of 350 cards. The cards themselves are still in the game, but the art for them aren't.

The back and sides look nicer on the 2000, and the circle buttons on the front instead of oval too. But that bezel just looks gross compared to the 1000. I wonder why they opted to not make it a totally smooth surface like the 1000.

Sweet Fuse? Hakuoki? but they are for PSP. Most of the eroge/galge/visual novels don't leave Japan so I don't think you have a choice.

I love it. I used to think this series needed to embrace "next gen" (going from PS2 to PS3) with better physics and stuff, but with this more dynamic camera/animation and kooky humor thrown in more liberally, I'm aaaaalllll for it.
