PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4/PSP) | February 2014

I dont like Monster Hunter but i loved SS, would i like Toukiden? Before you say try the demo im out of space and dont want to be bothered to delete anything unless i think its worth the trouble :D

Anyone in the same boat that likes SS and dislikes Monhun?

Thanks in advance!

I miss the VitaGAF thread, posting here feels so unpure haha

It isn't as good as SS/GEB imho but still worth playing as you don't have to run pointless around areas looking for monster and combat is fast enough.

Plus the setting is lovely so i want to finish story mode.

So, that Persona US sale is happening soon, right?

I was wondering, can I buy and download Persona 3 portable with my US psn account and then transfer it to EU Vita?

I even got the platinum... but it's rather easy for me farming platinums on the Vita. I have GR, Uncharted and Tearaway so far. P4G will follow sooner or later (I'm not in a hurry, it could take me a year xD)

I need to get the Uncharted plat and even get in to GR, really didn't click with me for some reason.

Got my WRC3 Plat last night and got Tearaway 2 days after launch. Working on Smart As at the moment too, but that's now just a 100 day grind.

Tearaway wasn't a hard platinum, but I did it reaaally slowly. I simply did the stages whenever I felt like it, looking for my remaining pieces or doing a perfect run on those selected stages. Really great game.

I think I read WRC3 was quite barebones. I think WRC4 is better and has more modes and stuff. If you like it look for some youtube videos :)

Yeah it was very sparse in terms of gameplay and options, but it was in the EU sale from £20 to £4 so I grabbed it. Very easy Platinum other than the online side where it seemed fairly dead till last night. Will take a look at WRC 4 though, as what little there was I did enjoy.

Golden Abyss is the worst one in the series and not made by Naughty Dog at all.

Both Uncharted 2 & 3 are better than Tomb Raider IMO. TR is better than the first Uncharted and GA.
Well, Uncharted 2 is better than Tomb Raider in almost every aspect. Better history, better characters, less QTE shit, better artstyle, snow is really good looking, and imo level design (even if the scale is smaller) is better. I can't say about gunplay, I played TR2013 with KB/M and Uncharted with a DS3.
I don't really want to pick up more PS3 games to add to my backlog. Hopefully Uncharted 4 at least comes close to Naughty Dog's PS3 games.

I wait two hours for Tizoc to post Toukiden OT so I can subs it before I go to sleep. It better there when I wake up tomorrow D:

Anyone one know where the people are from that are already playing outlast? I'm on the US east coast and still don't see it in the store.

Wasn't Tales of Xillia sold for like 4x times it's price on US PSN?

Pricing is all relative to the market. As much as people like to compare the prices straight up using the current conversion rate, it's not actually proving anything. But we've been over this before. :P

And with Tales of Xillia, if you really want to get the best deal, make a US account and buy it on that -- it's not a Vita or PSP game, so you can totally play it on your main account from another reason. Problem solved.

That implies they're bringing SSD to the west.

Surprise April/May release please. :(

Is anyone in here going to import/buy the JPN version?

I still think the game sounds like a glorified expansion pack that should have been DLC instead of a full release (or at least had the option to "upgrade" your current game for less than rebuying the new retail product [see: SSF4AE, DE:HR DC]).

So I'd be curious to hear how much *NEW* content there actually is as well as finding out what transfers over with my level 100 character.

9 new archfiends, a few new arenas/spells/clothing/etc. -- none of this seems like it's worth $30+ to me.

So I'm curious to see what the new single player campaign is (is there even one at all? is it a side campaign like the sorcerer's stories stuff, I wonder, so they don't change the main storyline?) and how much value is actually there for my money before I get excited about it.

Is Outlast going up today for US PSN?

The PS Blog, located at http://blog.us.playstation.com, says yes:

Apparently Toukiden was already released in my country. It's only R2 though. Fuck, I can't buy it because I'm R1.
Just saw that in my local FB Vita group.

Edit: False Alarm.

You sure this is available at the local shops killatopak? I'm gonna head to a mall in the morning if this is true. Considering I have to fight someone just to get a copy of Shin Gundam Musou and the hype in our local FB groups for this game...

Edit: God, that DOA5+ collectors edition looks pretty rad, too bad I don't have funds for it now: http://www.tipidpc.com/viewitem.php?iid=29076961&page=

No, it was a false alarm. Somebody just posted it to show that the game had manuals included and not that it was already available.

I'm like you and at the beginning i didn't like the game that much because of the slower battle system, but then i tried the rotating attack of the knives and i liked it.
I won't buy it because i don't think it would be possible to go that far using only that attack, but i liked the demo that leaves you wanting for more.

Ethan: Meteor Hunter is announced for vita. Cross-buy with ps3 version. The PS3 version goes on sale this week. 50% off for ps+, 30% for regular users. More info
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014...ed-for-ps-vita-gets-a-ps3-demo-and-price-cut/
For some reason i knew it would have arrived to Vita lol, how much with the 50%?

You know things are grim for Vita when a vertical Crush The Castle/Angry Birds clone ported from mobile gets a post of its own.
The demo is long and fun, i think i'll buy it when on sale.

I stopped playing SS shortly after SSD was announced. SSD would be worth the $30 for me even if they just fixed the constant connection problems and added more monsters/spells. The other tweaks are just bonuses.

...Those connection problems are not going to be fixed. :/

I'm not sure why you had connection problems. Most of the time, playing with Agent/Cyborg/Itachi, there was almost no lag and very few disconnects over the course of all those hours logged in multi.

But for your sake, I hope delta does a better job for you. :)

I'm incredibly worried about SCEA's silence. I want a swift release like the first, but at this point... I'll take anything.

I love Soul Sacrifice and disliked my short experience with MH, mostly because it felt clunky (due to the controls) and slow. From what I have played of the Toukiden demo, I am not sold on it either.

Sony has a new promotion for Germany. If you load €50 between today and the 28th on to your PSN account using Paypal, Sofortüberweisung or Giropay you get €10.
http://www.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/de-de/promotions/playstation-store/

Last time I made a thread about this promotion nobody cared, so I'll only post it here. Beware, the last time this promotion ran the messages with the €10 coupon were only received by PS3s and Vita only users had to call the support. Even they didn't knew that Vita users didn't get the message.

This promotion has perfect timing for me.

Wish we got that promotion in Norway :(

You're not wrong.

Toukiden is better than MH in my time with the demo, but it's not fast paced or boss focused enough for my liking. Weapon variety wasn't bad, but still seems limited in the demo -- it may be better as you level up and gain different Mitamas to change out your special abilities.

It was fun to play with some other GAFers, to an extent, but I didn't like it enough to throw down $40 day one and put a ton of time into the game.
