i could go for a dead space on vita

Did you say you wanted a top-down Dead Space dungeon crawler for smartphones with freemium action and a wide array of alien-bashing weapons at only $0.99 a pop?

Because that's what I heard brah.

I only have 60 vita games :(

I cheated a little and counted apps (Welcome Park, Wake Up Club) and F2P games.

I don't want to spend too much money, i have to buy Daganronpa!

Stick it to the Man sucks in my opinion.

I am 5 chapters in Stick it to the Man (still at the beginning) and I am not sure if I would recommend it.
I dislike the character design but the overall world artstyle is nice. The humor is really hit and miss so far and the puzzles are easy.
The controls could have used some work. Switching between mindreading and sticking should have been on toggle and not hold. I often accidentially cleared the puzzle even though I wanted to hear the dialogue first, which goes against my OCD tendencies with games, because I just touched stuff. Grabbing stickers doesn't work well with the touchscreen. They could have just used the backtouch for the mindreading and fronttouch for sticking. The ability to fast forward dialogues is a great addition though.

The only element I really like so far is the music. Not a surprise after they have picked a great theme song.

I am nearly at the end of Stick it to the Man and I can't recommend it. It's mediocre at best.
Some jokes are fun but overall the humor isn't that good. The mindreading gameplay gets cumbersome, same goes for the 'stealth' and jump and run part. Traversing the level is made annoying on purpose and sometimes you drop through a platform.
The puzzles are not great either and the story isn't interesting.

Just fell through the world the second time in Stick it to the Man making it neccessary to quit the game and replay a part of the level.

*shakes fist at Tizoc*

Edit: third time...chapter 9 is a fucking glitchy mess. Music also stopped on me once. Now I have to listen to that shitty unskippable dialogue once again.

Do you dislike the game that much? I just went over why cheesing the system is bad. Looking at it as a "free game" instead of "getting your money back" is bad business in my opinion. If you ever buy another game like some NIS game and you find out something silly like it's not translated, you'd be much better served getting your money back for that, rather than this.

Yea I do, and it's not really cheesing the system since I've been extremely dissatisfied with the framerate and visuals since I bought the game. I'm gonna be waaaaaay more careful with full priced purchases off PSN from now on, but I got a hold of a supervisor and he said I'll be getting $40 refunded to my wallet. I don't feel bad because I don't want to ever touch that game again and legit felt ripped off when I bought it and I've never asked for refunds regardless of how many mistake purchases I've made. Feels good to not be stuck with a crappy game, digital ftw

Is it general thread to talk about VITA?
If so, I'm just wondering, was it MGS3HD or new update feature, but I love the fact that I didn't have to touch my VITA during cutscenes/conversations to exit "auto dim".
I guess I should check this out on other games like Zero Escape.

is that a new track!

Exact same here. I see Dustforce leaving my memory card tonight. Time to start doing my research in digital purchases =/. I'm sure as heck not gonna blow $40 anytime soon though. I didn't understand them much when they were talking but is it the "Refund To Wallet" option that's one time goodwill? Or returns in general? Or can you do returns to a card whenever you want?

The whole process only took like 15 minutes so I'm a happy camper when it comes to that. Also, the PlayStation serve plan covers controllers apparently =) They ship you out news ones instead of fixing it. I think I know what I'm doing before inFamous.

I should explain. I bought 5 controllers over the course of having my PS3. 1 before every major release. 1st and 2nd at launch. 3rd at MGS5. 4th at Uncharted 2. And a 5th at The Last of Us.

It was most for that new controller feel but this sounds like a much better deal.

Bloop! Guess I'm skipping it then. And it's not even native res? People realize the Vita owners are the real audience right? Curve recognizes that.

I was trying to go for the platinum trophy in Muramasa Rebirth for Vita, and then i found out was Fury Mode was :\ Hehe. In Fury Mode, you die if you take one hit, and there are two trophies tied to this. It basically means that you need to beat the game two full times without taking a single hit. Of course there are checkpoints and such, but its still too hard for me :/

The game is a bit more forgiving on fury mode so it's a little easier. If you die you dont restart the game it just resets you one screen, so you can die and die and die as many times as you like.

The game auto blocks for you at all times, the hardest thing to do is to manage your soul meter before your sword breaks. Take advantage of the invincibility frames of certain Ninja arts and your rolling dodge and air dash. So as long as you keep up the offensive, you'll never get it. Just keep attacking as wrecklessly as possible and watch out for projectiles and explosives that could break your sword in one hit.

After that it's a simple method of learning your enemies tells and attacks like any other action game. There are a few advanced tricks like using "Ukemi" basically you can cancel out of dying if you get hit by pressing the attack button at the moment you get hit. It's a very tricky and very precise timing but it's very useful especially for intense boss fights.

With Dustforce, is the full game much laggier than the demo? Tried the first 3 areas and the tutorial and the occasional audio skipping bugged me more than how it was running. Only saw one moment of lag that I really noticed while it was sliding down a big ramp fast. Other than that the inputs seem okay and the framerate too...

Hmm? I want it.

It's definitely not gamebreaking, but it does hinder your performance on some levels the FPS decides to just take a very sharp nosedive.

The Audio glitches happen mainly whenever you take screenshots and persists for a couple moments, and ocasionally during level transitions.

I've S ranked the forest areas, and am moving on to the castle and there is some dips in that area that make it troublesome.

Overall, the game badly needs a patch, but it's in no way unplayable.

Thanks, will try and wait then, just in case they try and pull a fast one.

Got a weird PS4 "issue".

I used the web PSN Store to buy Outlast today, and proceeded to download it immediately, turning the PS4 on remotely to download it. When I got home, my PS4 was off as expected, but when I turned it on, I had a system message there was a problem the last time the PS4 was shut down.

I can only assume that for some reason the remote turn-off didn't work right.

Anyone else get these issue? I've had it work OK in the past, so I am currently downloading something else to see if it works. I am home now so as soon as it turns off (if indeed it does without Power Saving taking over) I can turn it back on to see if it shut down OK.

^ Is it possible there was a power surge/failure? Did it fully download?

Ah yes, I forgot the other important part! Outlast did download correctly, including (by the look of Notifications), it's Update File.

One other thing I noticed was that on the website PSN, the game had next to it a new message saying "Ready to Play" (or something similar), but it also had "Download to PS4" option there too. I guess that might be standard, but I've not seen that before.

I think sometimes it doesn't shut down properly after doing an automatic download/remote download. Last week I noticed my ps4 was completely off instead of in standby. When I turned it on there were a couple of patches downloaded. It's happened to me about three times since the EU release day. It could be a power surge, but I'm pretty sure there were downloads prior to it happening every time.

So what's so good about Danganronpa? I see a lot of people are interested, yet I have no feelings towards it yet. I'm not familiar with the series.

OK, after remote-downloading Contrast, my PS4 turned itself off, and upon turning back on, there were no error messages.

There was a notification saying ready to install, then it went away. I guess it does the very last part once the machine has booted up. Weirdly, my website page still thinks its downloading! I guess its a little buggy right now.

Do you know how to do it? (Make the ps4 go into standby after download has finished) I can't find the option.

I am afraid I don't, I have't actually done that on PS4 yet. I've only downloaded stuff via the store when I am at work, or done it whilst playing another game. Maybe it automatically does it if you turn it off via "Standby Mode" ?

I think I'm going to get it. It makes me mad that the framerate isn't a perfect 60, but the game is just great. I will just desperately hope for a patch for the framerate and audio hitches.

any idea what's the latest Tearaway patch about? lol

Is it possible to patch the digital version of Tearaway now? I believe it wasn't possible before when there was a patch out for the retail version.

(Sorry double post)

Wait, just checked now. ITS OUT!

Maybe this was the patch available for the retail version?

Anyway:

Version 1.01 (12mb)

Changes in this version:

Addressed some Twitter formatting issues
Removed default text when posting to Facebook.

Just for the hell of it, I did a check of my download list, and I have 157 games owned for play on my Vita.

I currently have 41 installed on my memory stick, 25 of them being RPGs. Lol.

I have enough to play on my Vita to last for a long, long time, but I still buy more! Later, I'll check and do a breakdown of how many are native Vita games, how many are PS1 classics, and how many are PSP classics.

It's really weird, the dustforce demo looked totally fine to me except for the grey bar on the bottom(i guess that developers didn't know that vita is 544p and not 540p)

I cheated a little and counted apps (Welcome Park, Wake Up Club) and F2P games.

I guess i'll skip it, to bad because it was the only one i could have bought with my psn credit.
Thanks!

Tried out Dustforce. Glad there was a demo or else I probably would have bought it on impulse. I didn't really get hit with any framerate drops, but the gameplay just wasn't for me. Will save that $7.99 for TxK!

Oh god, my wallet.

Charged for Dangan Ronpa CE and Bravely Default CE today.

Fucking handheld releases.

So. Fucking. Hyped.
