Can we discuss how much of a god damn brilliant idea this is?

Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, originally released as a DLC add-on to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, is launching later this month as a standalone game for PS3 and PS4. Now’s the perfect time to set sail as a master assassin!

Coming February 18th to PS3 and PS4 for $14.99.
This is for me. I will never buy another $60 Assassin's Creed but I've always wanted to play it again for an extended period since at the very least, they're well built. Not only will this kick the butt, on a technical and possibly content level, of anything in its price bracket, it's a smart Trojan Horse for the mainline one.

Can't wait to buy it.

It's a pretty good idea. I think it's a fairly meaty dlc so it's not a bad price. And it even has its own trophy set! I still need to buy it, it looked great.

Wish they'd make that Washington DLC for AC3 as a standalone. I've heard bad things about AC3 but I freaking love the setting and would like to try out dat alternative history

I could see it happen if this is a success. Although I liked the main game more than the Washington dlc myself. Episode one was full of forced stealth and I was like nope.jpg

It would have been if it was on Vita.

How much is Toukiden going to cost? I couldn't find a price, so I figured one of you clever lot would know.
Looks like you're from Australia. It's up for digital preorder on the PSN now for $47.95. I've heard conflicting reports about retail here... some say it's a JB Hi-Fi exclusive and others say it won't get a physical release here at all.

Thanks.

Buying it from the US PSN. Got a 32 GB memory card yesterday. Things are better this way. :P

32 GB? Should've gone 64 GB like most of us ;)

At any rate, grab the demo, and keep it installed on your Vita. When you get the main game, you can continue from where u left off in the demo.

Oh, cool.
I don't own that many Vita games yet. :P

Yeah, slightly faster release date at least (Although it's being released here on the 13th at 9PM on PSN according to my preorder receipt). Australian PSN preorders get the digital DLC preorder bonus though. Definitely should have gone for a 64GB though! They're almost the same price, never looked back on mine.

I've got one tomorrow! (5 hours of potential Vita time)

I'm thinking of either going for Hell in Spelunky or finishing up collectables in Tearaway. What's your poison, chum?

The Walking Dead I reckon, but going for Hell... Oh who am I kidding, Olmec at best in Spelunky seems like a noble goal.

Did you actually like the main game? Seems most of gaf hated it. My only experience with AC is AC2 and Liberation. I enjoyed AC2 but had to pretty much drag myself to finish it after the halfway point. Liberation was just :l
The only reason AC3 interests me is because I freaking looooooooooooove American history. Especially the Revolutionary War era

can't decide between Danganronpa and Toukiden, choices choices..
You going Cart or Digital? I'm scared that since Danganronpa is a niche Visual Novel for the Vita that they might not print that many carts :P

edit: opps. Meant to edit this post into my other one a few posts up :P

Spelunking it is then. TWD is a good shout. Still on my to buy list.
Enjoy your trip :) Everyone else, don't pretend you're too cool for the Vita bus.

Why does it sound like a porn video when you are in the bonus round?!

Honestly, I recommend getting Toukiden while the online community is still large. 2 or 3 months down the line, the online aspect of the game may already be barren. Now if you're just gonna play solo then get Danganronpa instead. Just know that Danganronpa's story will stay the same in the future while Toukiden's online play will not.

BOTH!
Well it all comes down to your preference:
Dangan ronpa would have a great gripping story with interesting characters
Toukiden is if you like action games and husbandos

I'm one of the select few who liked it, yeah. Mostly because of the setting. It has its flaws but I liked it enough to finish the story. However, I also didn't hate Liberation so I guess I'm just a little weird.

I don't know if I had already posted this but here are the PS + games for the vita this month:
Elminage Original
Limbo
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 plus
Guacamelee
Xblaze (Jap)
Disgaea 2 (Jap)

I hate you suppa. You gifted games to people while I was sleeping T.T

Somebody help me. Anytime I try to play my Vita, I'm immediately distracted by Snapchat...

I think I have an addiction.

Leave your phone in a different bedroom. It's what I do when I don't feel like checking my phone.

AC3 was a EU IGC game. Maybe you have it on your PS3.

Toukiden now for that online multiplayer. Danganronpa later because there is not online multiplayer.

Playing Battlefront Elite Squadron on my Vita makes me wish that Renegade Squadron was Vita compatible. It has much better maps (though the three battleground levels in Elite Squdron are cool).

I also wish there was a native Vita Battlefront. Would be so sweet! Even if it was just an HD version of I or II.

So I saw this thread how IGA went missing (in the game industry). So I thought yeah I would love another 2D Castlevania game but then I thought why didn't Harmony of Despair get a Vita port. I wish they'd make one even if it's late.

thinking of just going ahead and buy Dustforce
been wanting to play it on my Vita since knowing about it and having it on Steam

As somebody that has played Dustforce for 350 hours on PC and have play through all levels in the Vita version, I have to say that you really shouldn't buy the game unless you have played through it on PC already and have a lot of experience with the game.

Most maps have slow-down and some have massive slow-down (Backup-Shift, Yotta difficult, Abyss etc.), if you don't know a good and solid way through those maps at the start you will HATE it, at least I would have hated it.

I think for me the game is passable at most, I made it through it and I can play a few maps on the go whenever I want but that because I don't need to progress anymore I did this on the first day and just rushed through it to unlock all maps.
