"I can't believe it's an Xbox!"

Not bad, but the cat and bento ones are kinda cringe.

There you go. We were talking about their strategy yesterday. This more or less confirms it.

I like it, and like the message. Execution is unfortunately a little too frenetic for their first outing with this particular message, but I think they got the general idea across.

I feel like they don't understand their player base at all. They want to appeal to a more casual market, but even they're not interested in wearing an Xbox or playing Xbox games on their toaster.

Between the "no red lines for bringing games to PS" and this marketing campaign they are doing a great job of selling as few consoles as possible this Black Friday and Christmas.

Of course, it's all about the service app . I've been trying to tell you guys for years. Sony will do the same thing eventually. So will Nintendo.

If their competitors notice they manage to 10x-20x their revenues by doing this (without Activision), then they'll probably follow suit. However Ninty & Sony still believe that exclusive content is important to consumers and therefore offer it.

Industry is going through a big swing in the next few years.

Also congrats to MS for telling consumers not to bother buying Xbox hardware ever again.

"To further extend This Is an Xbox, we've partnered with several brands including Samsung, Crocs™, Porsche, and The Happy Egg Co. (UK) to help bring the campaign to life in unexpected and entertaining ways. " - erm sure

Wait, there's merch of this???! Why??!

It's a little cringe, but it gets the message across and just keeps repeating Xbox over and over which is pretty standard marketing.

The future is the app, and the app will be everywhere. I don't hate it. Has some light humor. Nothing amazing, but it's fine.

You should hate it. Xbox is a console.

Phil Spencer interview and now this - is there some more porting news coming soon that they're trying to softly deliver to the Twitter drones?

Every screen is an Xbox and every hole a vagina. The Burger King of gaming struts its stuff once again.
