Steam Summer Sale 2025: June 26th - July 10th

There's enough overhead so I should get around 300+ fps unlocked with 4x Framegen. Ultra and Psycho settings.
Sheeeeeeeit.

That's a lot of computer indeed. Not jealous at all.

I'm still on a 6800XT + 5800X3D combo.

Got this on the cart. Not sure about Felvidek, looks very cool but I've read it's a very short game, so might wait for a deeper discount.

Tempted to add some Sony games.
Horizon Zero dawn is 29.99
Uncharted Lost Legacy is 19.99
I already own these on PS4 so I keep adding them to the cart then removing them then adding them back and changing my mind. :(

Edit-Pulled the Trigger.
Got Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves collection,
The new Amerzone remake
Tasty Planet bundle, 4 silly little games about starting out as a tiny creature that eats everything.

Tempted jump in at 90% off
Alex murphy edition has anything worthwhile over regular?
one gun which imo isn't as good as your standard pistol (the pistol upgraded absolutely slaps) and 2 skins I think, I mean it's a small difference in price, so if you like get it?

Only things on my list im tempted to buy at the moment are all these Sony titles but I swear for the ages that I have had them all that they are always way more expensive than other games on sale. Like Ratchet I dont think has dropped under 30 yet

Yup i am gonna jump in
Okay game downloaded
but i got welcomed with the crash

Let me drop some RACING deals.

If you want to own one modern NFS game that will help you get a nostalgic NFS Underground experience, Unbound is the way to go. I recommend getting the ultimate edition if you can. Money comes slow early in the game and the car pack in this really gives you some breathing room and variety. If not, the first 5 hours can be grindy when it comes to cash. I often hear people talk about missing Underground style progression, and this certainly has it. Graphics look pretty good. Runs really well for me.

Game made in the style of RalliSport Challenge and Colin McRae (pre Dirt). I love this era so this was the easiest purchase I ever made. One man dev team to boot! Nailed it for what he was going for. Love this one. $4!!

Been back and forth on this guy since the sale started, but now that I've learned to disable all the scaling, it's a must buy. Especially considering the news at Turn10. This is probably the best controller-focused simcade racer we're going to get on PC for years to come. Luckily, they patched it into really good shape. Great menu presentation! This killed 7 for me. Couldn't have asked for more on that front. Racing is great once you set up your controller. Lap times are close enough to what you'd expect irl to satisfy that part of my brain. Have to push hard with a great car to get a sub 8 minute Ring time.

Tried many things but didn't get fixed.
Looks like dev's have not even acknowledged it.
So applied for refund.

Yep! The game crashes alot and they aren't fixing it!

$4!

I've tried to get some enjoyment out of a few entries in this series at similar prices. This is by far the most coherent and realized title in the series. The only one I can actually recommend. Is it AAA? Nah, but it's Cryengine, I'm able to lock it at 165fps with no blurry scalers. Hell I'm actually downsampling. And the game is actually very solid for a AA jankware shooter. I'll take it all day over Far Cry 6. Big meaty FPS open-level stealth game. Four effing dollars. Leagues better than the Terminator game the internet convinced me to buy. Game actually needs very little to be looked at as a regular AAA 8.25/10 release.

Owned this on Epic since launch, paid $6 to get it on Steam. Went back and tried the ray tracing update. Runs super lean! No problems getting 60fps+ on a 6750xt without any upscalers. Now that we're in the hindsight phase, Control was really one of the very best games of last gen. Graphically it still goes toe-to-toe with anything this gen. If you somehow haven't played it yet, you're in for a treat.

Ended up getting all of those minus Felvidek, and added Hitman: Blood Money and Anachronox. Nice haul for less than 15 bucks lol.

My last order.

Early Access single player MMO created by a solo dev. It simulates the feeling of playing an MMO quite well and the world chat is hilarious, feels like playing a mix of EQ and WoW.

Tried the demo and enjoyed it. Game had a small discount and a recent content update so I grabbed it. Spent 25h on it already, Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon shit is my jam.

Snapshot has been on my wishlist for over 12 years and this was the first time I saw a discount on it (SteamDB confirms it is). It was featured in an ancient Humble Bundle which I missed, so it's been in my wishlist ever since. I could grab it for a buck from a dodgy keysite. But it's the principle.
One day there will be a discount on Gravity Ghost which I had on my wishlist since 2015 because TotalBiscuit heaped praise over it.

I bowed to peer pressure because everyone in this thread bought it.

Puzzle/Poker. There's only one user review on it. Maybe it's the next Balatro and we just don't know it?

Owned Atlyss since it released and I highly recommended it (my 2024 GotY). This Action RPG is 50% off and developed by a solo dev and it just had a large content update redoing a lot of underlying systems to future proof them. Maps are remade with new loot, new NPCs/quests, higher level cap, fishing and a bunch of other stuff.
Mystic class is apprently broken, but it should be fixed. Play a Warrior or Bandit and gift a few copies to embarrass your friends.

I have fallen, my wallet absolutely destroyed. Got so many games that were on my wishlist for long long time, I'm pretty much set for like a year or more.

(I'm running all of them on a RTX 4070 laptop at 1440p, 60fps, mostly high-ultra, few RT features on, mostly OFF, always DLSS quality or DLAA if I have headroom) which is roughly RTX 4060 (desktop) < RTX 4070 (laptop) << RTX 4070, so your perfs will reflect what you have )
  • Robocop
Quickly, looks great but UE5 stutterfest, gunplay is so so good, feels amazing.

  • Ghost Recon Wildlands (Ultimate)
Incredible world, super fun (= tag cartel members & sync shot, never gets boring), ridiculous amount of content but repetitive, kinda badly optimized and has atrocious vehicle controls.

I think the gunplay/gameplay and movement in general are okayish - if you're coming from Division 1/2, this is worse. Snowdrop engine on Div1/2 feels and looks insane. Those games are butter smooth. I would say Div 2 > Breakpoint > Div 1 > Wildlands in terms of general 3rd person gunplay, feel, movement and cover, sprinting etc. The gadgets and skills and a lot of guns, open-world compensate this. Also has sometimes irritating bugs, like I couldn't launch my drone after getting out of a heli and I really needed my drone to recon a cartel base to take down the leader, rescue. I had to settle for binoculars to track and go kinda guns blazing. Works but still, buggy. Game works offline so that's a plus.

  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint (Ultimate)
Much much better gun-play, optimization (vulkan) and general feel. Super smooth. World while beautiful and lush, Wildland was more varied, vast and beautiful. ONLINE ONLY.

  • Far Cry 6 (GOTY)
I mean yeah I get the cliche but the gameplay is fun, smoothest till date, easiest FC I have played and honestly it feels great exploring the vast world, liberating outposts and trying new guns.

  • Dying Light 2
Exquisite gameplay, super fun movement and combat, extremely addicting and fun to dropkick zombies. Not really horror more of action thriller. Story is kinda irrelevant. Really cool game. RT is pointless and looks bad and tanks perf. Just play non RT.

  • AC Valhalla (Complete)
Similar to what I wrote about FC6. Extremely beautiful, the art team cooked so hard. Combat is quite nice. If you're coming from old AC games like AC2 trilogy and similar, yeah not really an AC game but a great action adventure game. Insane amount of content.

  • GTA 5 Enhanced ( had played this on PS4 long long ass back, I don't even have the game disc anymore lol)
Looks and plays amazing, very very well optimized. Just use DLAA for a crispy, sharp image.

  • Hogwarts Legacy (again on PC as I don't have a PS5 anymore)
Fun with an asterisk, a bit unoptimized even though this is UE4. Honestly if you're fan, this is must. If you're fan of Ubsioft titles, this also is a must. World is gorgeous and combat slaps.

  • Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate (going back as I had refunded when it launched + DLC I hear is amazing) REFUNDED, RUNS BADLY ON LAPTOP GPU, GET THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE A RTX 4080+ LAPTOP GPU
Nothing to say just get it, lol. Runs great now, haven't beaten the DLC yet so will write about it later.

  • Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition
Looks great, runs great, well optimized. Very, very satisfying combat, gore and I simply can't get enough of drop kicking zombies. Tired, hard day? Boot this bad boy and jump kick hordes of zombies, electrify them, burn them, mince them. Amazing "kill many zombies in different ways in sunshine LA" simulator if you ignore the cringe dialogue.

  • Slay the Spire REFUNDED, turns out I do not like card games, esp. the RNG.
I am not the audience, I don't play "card games" but I'm slowly warming up to this. I think its the simple presentation and synergies you can pull. When everything clicks and you have a broken deck it gets fun. Key here is optimizing your defense and offense, you should have more defense that your enemies and hit more than their defenses. This is the base. Effects, curses, conditions just add layers on the base. I'm not fully sold on it yet but so far I'm kinda digging it.

  • Tactical Breach Wizards
Near perfect strategy, each level exquisitely crafted. Thank god it's not a roguelike. Lot of QoL, forgiving, funny, clever level designs, challenging optional quests. A triumph of game design. Must buy, esp. the bundle that has another fantastic game in it - Into the breach.

  • Choo-Choo Charles
Thomas is a demonic horror train and you have arrived in the island to hunt it with your own train that you'll steer and upgrade. Funny rather than scary but exhilarating moments. Quite short. Cheap price. Single dev. Super fun.

  • Watch Dogs Legion (Gold) ( has 1 + DLC & Legion + DLC)
I liked 1 & 2 so let me just get a closure, it's ok. Fucking Ubisoft has put the end of Aiden's story in a DLC for this game so I have get the Gold version lol. Mediocre but still moments of innovation and fun like spikes on the ECG machine monitoring a haunted dead heart.

  • HITMAN, World of Assassination Deluxe
Was put off by this franchise after Absolution (one of the worst games I have played, quit after a few hours).

Tried the free demo, DUBAI mission, so so so much fun, actually insane how good this game is apart from the fucking online only requirement and that I still need to buy like a few dlc packs to get all content. Visuals, mission design, freedom, optimization, responsive movement, gunplay, crunchy sound design & replayability are fucking perfect. Incase anyone on the fence and have never bought any of the new Hitman - get the Hitman WoA Deluxe edition (NOT Hitman Deluxe) = this version has like 95% of the content (it doesn't have the celebrity arcade missions and cosmetics, you can get all three of them quite cheap in sales, I'll get those once I'm done (100%) with the main missions))
This is going to easily last me enough till next summer lol, NOT PURCHASING ANY GAME after this for at least a year lol.

UPDATE: With that Cyberpunk & Slay the Spire refund money + selling my inventory/cards, I got these instead (bruh moment):
  • Dead Space Remake
Looks amazing, plays amazing if you ignore traversal stutters. If you're starting your horror action survival journey start with this or maybe RE4R. Incredible games, incredible series, just so satisfying mowing down necromorphs with cool guns. If it's too scary just play daytime and without headphones, just speakers with volume set to low. Audio is the most important part of that "dread and tense horror" atmosphere, removing it almost kills it quickly.

  • Grim Dawn (Complete)
Diablo 4 (and also 3) are better games but those are locked by Blizzard's atrocious launcher, online requirement and are a lot more expensive then this indie title. PoE2 (and even PoE) is also superior but again, online only and needlessly complex. Enter Grindawn. Temu/Alibaba Diablo but has a lot of strengths. Offline, cheap and available DRM free. Lots of content, lots of classes to mix and match. New Expansion dropping next year. Gear feels alright, combat feel pretty satisfying and the world is reminiscent of Diablo. This is a perfect, average ARPG that does everything nicely but nothing exceptionally. It's a comfort game, you hit stuff, you move on, you come back after a week, hit some more and that's fine. That's ok.

  • Assassin's Creed Mirage
Tighter world, well optimized and near bloat free. It's not back to its roots, it's not a new beginning but it's pretty neat. I love the environments, I love the characters. I am mixed about the combat. Not finished yet but I'm keen to come back later once I finish the monstrous Valhalla.

  • DOOM Eternal (+DLC)
Probably the hardest game I have played. I had to notch the difficulty a level down. This is frenzy demon killing with exceptional level design, sound design and artstyle perfected, the symphony of the game mechanics, the gore splatter, the soundtrack, the gun sounds and you as a player all come together for the final jubilee. Historical franchise, amazing game.

  • Trials Rising (Gold)
Funny, cheap and cool set pieces. Downside? A rather big one, it's Ubisoft.

  • Saints Row The Third Remastered
Actually fun. Looks great, plays nice. Over the top. A good time. (just get a FOV mod though lol)

  • State of Decay 2 (Juggernaut Edition)
Hidden surprise. I never thought I would like this but the gameplay loop is oddly satisfying. The combat is tight, solid and feels great.

The flow goes like this: you pick randomly generated characters with random skills/points, you kill randomly generated zombies, you loot, you drive, you bring loot back to your base/camp, you upgrade camp, you find new survivors/characters to populate your camp, you die - that charcter stays dead so just pick another one from your camp, you can do this anytime, you clear areas/hearts, you unlock fast travel/character change options, you select a leader, you complete leader's quests, you repeat, you clear maps.

I think it's pretty fun, even solo. You can pretty much do a lot solo. This is basically TLoU2 but kindergarten level and with a focus on replayablity and creating your own story.

I'm done, like real REAL done. Seriosuly dude. Not going to buy anything for 1.5 years now.

God I hate Steam sales, fuck you Gaben, you psychological monster who knows PC gamers just keep hoarding and never play. Such a venomous snake. Such a lucrative business. Sniff.

Someone be the voice of reason. I want to play a game that will really test the limits of my 5070ti. I bought a discounted physical version of Cyberpunk 2077 when it first came out (never played it) but it's on GOG and doesn't have the DLC. I could buy the Steam ultimate edition that will give me the DLC and base game for $38. How essential is Phantom Liberty, and aside from the content itself are any of the visual/performance upgrades included with it?

It really resonated with me.

One of my favourite games.

Might also pick up on steam as I have the epic version

Cyberpunk, AC Shadows, Avatar are probably the best games out there to test the limit, at least till GTA 6 arrives.

The only bad about the CP77 graphics is that the textures imo are not really high quality. They look worse than some old game textures even at max texture settings.

DLC integrates in the base game, it's not post game so it's better to get while you start a new playthrough. I haven't played through it but many of my friends say it was an amazing end to Cyberpunk, one of the best DLCs ever made.

DLC area is much more taxing than base (I used a save file to check it lol, don't do this), this is actually one of the reasons I refunded it as it totally tanked my FPS (RTX 4070M). You'll be fine playing it on a RTX 5070Ti, maybe don't turn RT Overdrive/path tracing as those totally kill fps like crazy.

Haven't played robocop
Tempted jump in at 90% off
Alex murphy edition has anything worthwhile over regular?
Been playing it since I got it this sale and having a blast with it. At first I thought it was quite generic, but they've done such a good job bringing the vibe of the movies which makes the combat and everything around it so good. Also helps it looks very good graphically.
Can't help you wit hthe Alex Murphy edition, though. I got the standard version. Didn't seem like I would miss out on anything apart from cosmetics.

The only game I'm thinking about getting during this sale is Gloomwood. Looks like something right up my alley for it being an immersive sim. The fact that the game is in EA puts me off.

Where can I play Luma Island demo, looks pretty cozy and cool. I'm up for something like this atm. ok, tried the demo, pretty chill and nice but going to wait for it be more discounted.

Cyberpunk is the only one that interest me of any of those you mentioned. Now the debate whether to save a few bucks getting just the DLC from GOG, or the full ultimate edition on Steam for an added $18.

Alright Gaf, help me out. I'm trying to finalize my list of games I never played but always wanted to. Most of them are older titles but I'm hoping these games just "work" on modern rigs without much troubleshooting.

Here's the list:

- Assassin's Creed Unity $7.49

- Watch Dogs Complete $5.99

- Bully Shcolarship Edition $5.24

- Split Second $9.99

- Scott Pilgrim vs the World $4.94

- Rider's Republic Skate Edition $5.99

Total is $39.64. Thoughts???

I have a 5070ti. You can totally turn on Path Tracing with CP2077. Go nuts. I would get the Ultimate Edition. The DLC is very very good.

I didn't see much this sale that I didn't already have. Got Sword and Fairy 7, Crash (wanted it on steam, already had it for PS), battlefront 2, pony island and bloody spell.

ACU works fine, still looks awesome
Watch Dogs works fine, best game in the series
Bully not sure, I think it has 30fps cap but might be wrong
Split Second has 30fps cap but there is a mod to unlock it to 60 (great arcade racer btw)

I didn't see much this sale that I didn't already have. Got Sword and Fairy 7, Crash (wanted it on steam, already had it for PS), battlefront 2, pony island and bloody spell.
Do you have Spyro Trilogy on PC? It's the superior version, but it's "only" 65% off.
It's shameful there's no 60fps patch for current gen consoles.

Slay the spire
Injustice 2
Brotato DLC (love this game)

And... Baldurs Gate 3

Total: 34,85 usd (which was basically 0 real money. Gotta love the regional prices + CS2 lootboxes)

I have a 5070ti. You can totally turn on Path Tracing with CP2077. Go nuts. I would get the Ultimate Edition. The DLC is very very good.

I ended up giving in and grabbing the ultimate edition about 15 minutes before they said it was coming to PS+ Extra, lol. I know it will be night and day on the PC performance/visuals, and I prefer first person games on PC anyway. But lol, timing.

I have a steam deck coming in tomorrow so will have to splurge on some things.

here's what I got.

Inside $2.59.
Beyond two souls $2.99
Bioshock $5.49
Splinter Cell CT $2.49
Black Mesa $2.59
Gris $1.94
Inside $2.59
Witcher 3 complete edition $13.99
Dead Space $15.99

CD keys.

Tormented Souls $2.42

I think this is my biggest haul from a sale so far. A lot of gaming for less than $60. This sale has been better than past sales I think.

looking at selaco and persona 5 before the sale ends, anyone got them to persuade me? i know persona 5 should be good (love jrpgs) but never played a persona game for some reason. Selaco looks cool but early access.

Might get Ace Combat 7, it's so cheap. I have never played any of these games, but flying around dogfighting seems like fun. Is the focus arcade or sim?
