The reference came during a discussion reviewing several of the company's current initiatives. In the middle of the conversation, the question arose as to whether we will see more titles from the first Xbox available to players, and although the answer was not direct, it did leave a fairly obvious clue as to what is to come.
Jason Ronald, one of the main people in charge of the devices area within Xbox, explained that in 2026 the brand will celebrate its 25th anniversary, and that this date will be the perfect opportunity to highlight everything that has been achieved and show where the platform is heading.

The executive did not confirm any specific additions or mention specific products or services. However, he insisted that there will be several new developments in store for that year and that players should stay tuned for what the company will announce as the date approaches.

Exciting stuff. First Xbox was released Nov 15th 2001. Wonder if they're going to wait that long to reveal stuff.

We should be getting a 1st party roadmap for the major releases at least in like 5 weeks at the January dev direct.

More crocs with Xbox branding.
I have an irrational hatred of Crocs. I really can't explain it, they just somehow annoy me so much. But even more than the footwear, I hate those whatchamacallits that people put into those holes.

So I found the X-crocs impressive, after a fashion. I thought I couldn't hate Crocs more. I was proven wrong.

They so wanted to release something really special on that day but sounds like they have fallen behind schedule

So after almost 25 years... they are STILL selling the 'just w8 next year' idea ?! For Chirst sake... if this did not work when MS was complacent with gaming area, just imagine NOW

Then, It would make sense to announce at least Project Magnus that day.

Also It's become common practice for Microsoft to announce new hardware a year in advance. Perhaps this year it will be at a special Xbox 25 anniversary event and not at a third-party event like XSeries (TGA).

They announced SX a year before as well. So I think they will announce Xbox hybrid next year. I wonder if they will also reveal that it will play all your steam game library as well. Because as ridiculous as it sounds that is likely going to be selling point of this device.
