Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

Okay I put all the gear I was using in the second tab in the guild stash. Gear, jewels, gems and supports. It's not even optimal gear, either. I just slapped together what I had and what I could get for cheap.

If you're using Oracle, then the youtube guide is pretty straightforward since he was using Oracle too. I was using Acolyte of Chayula because I thought it would synergize well with Volatility. I was using the notable Unstable Bond to gain 3 volatility every time one of my minions died, so I was stacking loads of volatility which translates into lots of extra chaos damage. The extra remnant collection from Into the Breach also helped a lot with mana regen with the Arcane Remnants node.

I wasn't using Dark Defiler because it was a lot easier for me at lower levels to just use a rare scepter that has + to minion life. The minion life has to be just under 1.5 of your own max life in order for Minion Pact II to kill each minion with one cast. If you're using a higher level Dark Defiler, that probably should be an issue for you. I also liked the rare scepter because it gave me more spirit to use Blasphemy and Temporal Chains too.

oh sweetabix. Looking at your gear, i'm kitted out well enough. Running the build that takes damage from MP before life, running regalia with +mana and + resistances per slot. Will try the rattling sceptre and that juicy 3 slot dark defiler.

but that's for tomorrow, it's already past my bed time ;_;

Cool. I also liked the unique ring because it gives cast speed per spirit and extra skill speed with Onslaught.

This was my passive skill layout too

this is how i'm currently kitted

The low dmg numbers are hilarious considering everything explodes, including bosses.

This is pretty sick. I messed around with Nova Projectiles Oil Barrage when I was playing wyvern, but this dude took it to a new level

When I was messing around with the build, I was trying to make cast on crit or cast on elemental ailment work with it too, but it wasn't gaining that much energy. I just noticed though, that Doedre's Undoing must not be correctly tagged with a trigger tag or something because it actually does generate energy even if it is contained within a meta gem. You might try experimenting with putting a curse and doedre's undoing on Cast on Minion Death, and then putting Spark in Cast on Critical.

Finally made it to act 4 and it's awesome. The only thing I don't like at all is how janky the part of the prison is where the ocean waves come crashing in. I guess it's supposed to be simulating you getting pushed around but it looks so bad. Anyway, I love this game.

I started playing on my PS5 because my laptop kept crashing.
Man its nice doing maps without looking at cogs all day.
Btw the cosmetics dont work on console? I look real regular on there, what happen to my phoenix running animation??

Sony don't play that. Give them money or you're cosmetic less.

damn. this sucks. spent some bread on this game, probably the most out of alllllll the games i ever played. They need to find a solution for this.

December release??? this is going to be a perfect birthday present. I might take a lil break until the big 1.0. Unless the next league is some sort of irresistible update. I had skipped the Amazon, I came back for the Abyssal, that was super fun getting back in.
I feel like i could have skipped the druid, still fun but not the OMG moments I had in abyssal, the temple gimmick is cool, but it really take me out the flow of things to get into the temple. Either way cant way for 1.0

They have TcG Path of Exile??? I saw people with cards in their hands at a table.

Wow, I stuck a bunch of stuff in there to see if anything would sell while I'm on vacation, and this is what I see.

Got a character to 100, had a blast this season running impending doom/doedre on elemental weakness. Vaal temple was fun, I completely disagree with all the people saying it ruined the economy, this was the first time the real economy even felt accessible to me. I am certain GGG sees much higher player retention later in the season this season compared to previous leagues, I hope they take a lesson from it and don't totally nerf currency drops.

Am I wrong in saying this game is more Diablo than whatever abomination Diablo 4 is supposed to be?

Mind you I'm incredibly biased towards Diablo 2.

I had the most fun this season, too. I'm actually still playing it as well, which says something. I don't think the temple "ruined" the economy, as I also agree with your assessment. I think it changed it, but the relative values of certain activities relative to one another stayed fairly static. From my point of view, the excesses of the temple opened up a lot of opportunities to people, especially casual players.

Here's a pretty good analysis video about this league's retention.

What "Diablo" is "supposed to be" at this point is very variable, because the nature of the game has changed so much between all 5 Diablo games. There are many who vibe with the older titles much more, than the newer ones, and there are also those who find that modern Diablo is what the franchise should be.

From your perspective, as someone who liked Diablo 2 a lot more, your opinion makes sense and isn't wrong. Path of Exile 2, in terms of game mechanics and design, is much more a successor to Diablo 2 than Diablo 3 ever was.

Didn't have any economy issues thus league, on the back of getting a hh from campaign npc that sold for 50 something divs.

Meanwhile I keep reliably getting logbooks, and 5 splinters gets you 1 div. When you're pulling 150+ splinters an expedition, things feel cummy af

This guy actually made Hexblast work lmfao

I still have yet to try a Twister build. Perhaps I'll fire it up when I'm doing testing for when I'm deciding what to league start next.

I logged into the game and some dude stole my account

A diff email pass is all of a sudden attached, I still have access with my Steam account

Gonna send them an email and hooe they can fix it

damn. I hope it works out. I remember when my WOW account got hacked once upon a time.
That was painful times.
This guy has a lvl 95 character on my account, im thinking of logging in and just selling all his shit lmao

Your time has been truly wasted hacker clown

Oh shit, you in the guild? Stash is about to be empty.

Yeah I logged in and he was in his hideout lvl 96 gear full or orange items, stash filled with gems and I dont know what else. I contacted support and they locked the account for now at least.

I dont give a shit about that character but he had like 40k (or 40 mil?) gold on him too lol

Screw you buddy!

Dont think he was in a guild or something but I havent even played Poe2 long enough to know that, I only out in like 7 hours

Cant believe someone would spend that much time om a character thats not tied to his own account 💀🤣

It's been over two months since the launch of the Last of the Druids, so soon it will be time to talk about the next big update for Path of Exile 2.

Towards the end of April we will be announcing our full plans for the 0.5.0 update including all the changes we will be making to the endgame as well as the new league! It's a pretty huge update, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, there is still plenty of time left to play in the ongoing Fate of the Vaal league. Fate of the Vaal will end right before 0.5.0 is released. After that, your characters and their items will be migrated to the Standard or Hardcore Early Access league. There will not be any wipes, so once migration is complete, you can play your characters in the Early Access leagues.

Really excited for the full release to play this again, had a LOT of fun on release and honestly one of the best games I've played since then.

How's the game nowadays? Is it still kinda slow and methodical? Or did they cater to the POE1 fans and made it faster?

It can be slow and methodical if you want it to be, but overall the game is faster now. Flicker Strike is still cool.

At a certain power level, most builds can become faster as that is the only level of scaling left to you at that point. I have a sorc that runs around and rains comets from the sky and it's glorious.

but overall the game is faster now
Not sure how I feel about that lol, I loved the experience on release. Is it faster from the get go? Or once you get to the end game? Act 1 to 3 were super fun to me, having to take things with calm specially bosses that could delete you if you weren't paying attention.

I'm not an expert in ARPGs but a lot of bosses in those games seem to be stat checks and that's it. In POE2 you really need skill to beat them and that's what made me fall in love with the game.

the faster pace is jarring, especially when you play with other people later in the game their teleporting everywhere blasting everything. All you see is a rainbow strobe.

Campaign is still pretty methodical. The speed only really ramps up when you can start sacrificing some defense or when you start doing too much damage that it's overkill, and that's not until later. Of course it depends on the build. Some achieve this sooner, some later. Overall, build diversity is very good at the moment. I'm having fun with lots of different styles, and I've made the most builds this season out of any others.

I'd say bosses aren't as hard as in 1.0 though. They got tamed down a bit.

There's still an element of skill and knowledge to beat bosses, but eventually at some point you get so strong that it doesn't matter anymore. Unlike other ARPGs, though, this happens later and not sooner.

Well as long as they keep the gameplay style of the campaign more or less as I remember I don't mind the change too much.

Also guess they did the right thing toning down the bosses a notch or two. Played as a warrior and I remember some of them being really, really hard. That colossus that shoots lasers still haunts me in my nightmares. :goog_relieved:

The Colossus wasn't that bad itself. It was the dumb add phase that annoyed me the most.
I died a thousand times to that fucker lol.

I believe the endboss of the desert act was worse, the screen looked like one touhou game put on top of another lol. But somehow I did better against that one.

I should jump back in sometime. I quit at the end of Act 2 because my Witch build at the time was Demon Form specced into fire and the boss was resistant to Fire. I got to Phase 2 and the mechanics with again an Add Phase was a bit too much to handle since you'd get pinned and the Boss wipes you out.

Kinda want to wait it out until they release either Act 6 or all classes so I can decide which one to choose. Really depends on Ascendancy.

With the guild, it's a lot easier since you have access to lots of gear and can respec fairly easily.
