They can't pull this shit on pc, that's why. MS tried in 200x and failed spectacularly.

On consoles, they can do whatever they want, users don't have any other options (unlike on PC).

I'm wondering when players are finally going to push back and tell them to fuck off with their wallets. I've always felt that paying to play games online that you have purchased to be ridiculous, even when it was £40 a year for Xbox Live back in the day.
