“Cowboy Bebop,” a critically and commercially successful 1998 Japanese anime series, is set to be adapted into a live action television series by Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and Marty Adelstein.

The live action version will be executive produced by Sunset Inc. — the studio responsible for the original animated iteration — as well as Midnight Radio, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Matthew Weinberg. Midnight Radio consists of Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg. Chris Yost will write the adaptation.

I feel like live-action has not been kind to anime.

Better idea than a movie.

But then again, if I wanted to watch a Bebop tv series, I'd just rewatch Bebop.

Agreed on both points.

If anything, bebop still looks amazing and there's no way that a TV series would get that kind of budget to not look cheap

Show me a human capable of being Radical Edward

or Faye, for that matter

Also the Ein needs to just be a stuffed animal like the cats in live action Sailor Moon.

Studio investors just read the title and thought traditional western. After the loss WB took with GITS I can’t imagine anyone wants to mess with anime to live action for a bit.

The hell... no need for a live action Cowboy Bebop when the anime already fills the role. Plus didn't the writer help make Thor: Dark World? What were they thinking?
