I think this is going to be swallowed up by Action Point (Knoxville's Jackass film which isn't a Jackass film) which opens the same weekend.
And then the following weekend it's Ready Player One soooo....,
Though in saying that there have been rumours that WB will move Tomb Raider to their open summer 2018 slot that had been reserved for a DC film so we may yet see PacRim2 shift back a week.
John Paesano does some decent work. His score for Daredevil is pretty good.
That being said, sad to hear Djawadi isn't returning. Second franchise where he leaves a great impression but doesn't return (the first being Iron Man.)

Oh, I didn't know about Action Point. Definitely could eat up the male audience for this. I feel like if I was going to be cautious with my movie spending in March and had to choose between PR:U and RPO, I'd go with the one that has Spielberg's name on it. Pacific Rim should just dance around as much as it needs to.
Tomb Raider in an open summer slot isn't a terrible idea. They've seen how Wonder Woman performed, they probably think putting another female led actioner with name recognition in the same area during off-years is wise.

I believe that's the plan. It would, somewhat ironically, open against the new Mission Impossible film (much like The Mummy did against WW) but the studio has an open slot there and may fancy their chances even though the new MI villain is their Superman.
I wouldn't be too sure about that. It's Spielberg making a family-friendly movie again plus the marketing is going to show snippets of every big pop culture moment from every era. The movie is going to draw in people aged 10 to 60s.
