So, the official recommended specs for 007 First Light were revealed and we're looking at modern gaming in a nutshell:

32 GB RAM
12 GB VRAM

For 1080p 60 fps. Tragic stuff, another optimization disaster incoming?

32GB Ram for 1080p/60fps? Why?

This seems really unoptimized and going off the trailer they showed a while back it seems like it's not going to run well at all :|

Well, now I expect the FPS in the final release on Ps5 will be just as awful as in that demo they showed a while back.
Easy skip if true.

Imagine not having 32gb in 2026. I bought my PC like 2 years ago with 32gb
We are not the baseline. I have 32gb too, but A LOT of people are still stuck with 16gb and with the current prices, they'll probably stay there. And again, asking that much for a measly 1080p/60 fps? What are they doing?

Seems pretty low but makes sense, Hitman engine is great and well optimized but also doesn't try to look like some UE5 tech demo scene. Edit: the lowest end GPU of 2 generations behind as recommended, a several gens behind, still low end model for the minimum and people complain? Wtf 🤣

32GB system ram is a nonsense recommendation.

there's no way the settings going from the minimum to the recommended need that much more system ram.

just make sure you don't run 200 bullshit programs in the background

Come on gents, vague system requirements are almost always a bit bullshit. We've done this song and dance routine here many times before.

People are complaining because the recommended specs for 1080p at 60fps, calls for 32GB of RAM. That's fucking stupid.

Cyberpunk with RT overdrive is 24GB. Indiana Jones has 24GB for 2K with RT, and 32 for 4K native with RT. Alan Wake 2 is 12GB.

Complaining is warranted here. Even if this is them being overly generous with the headroom they're asking for.

Lol, it's not like you'll need more ram for higher resolution, only a better GPU than the super low end models cited. Jesus, 16GB was expected like a decade ago, you want advancements or not? Damned if they do, damned if they don't, folks would complain it looks no better than Hitman otherwise.

When are people gona stop taking the spec recommendations this seriously. This is not that crazy for native 1080p on modern games. Native 1080p is more pixels than 1440P DLSS quality lol

Well the funny thing about it is that they're using official artwork to highlight and pass it off as legitimate specs.

Of course they can change it later but that's what I found funny about it.

Is this advancement though?

Well it ain't exactly the first game to ask for it as recommended nothing to see here.

I also have 64 Gb, yet barely see any games that eat it up beyond 20-22Gb and this whith mostly playing at 4K.

I think to this day it is still only Diablo 4 that I know of which goes up close to 28-30Gb I had 16Gb at release, it recommends 16Gb it was a horrible mess as I couldn't do shit while playing like using my 2nd monitor that I use to watch sports or movies. So ironically I can thank this game as it was the sole reason why I went for new RAM and straight for 64 Gb after the game was out for like 2 days...

1080p in 2026? At least it'll run on a potato.

It's a current gen game asking current gen hardware, what slightly above half of the Steam users have, as recommended settings. I see no issues there.

According to last month's Steam hardware survey 59.32% of Steam players use 1080p or smaller resolutions. In particular, 52.58% use 1080p. Only 4.93% use 4K.

55.69% of the Steam users has under 32GB of RAM according to that December 2026 Steam hardware survey.

Recommends 3060 ti and 12gb vram at the same time?
It means that as separate things, in terms of GPU horsepower recommends around 3060 or higher, but can be played with less. And that separatedly, in terms of VRAM they recommend around 12GB or more, but can be played with less.

It doesn't mean you need to have a PC with the exactly the mentioned specs. Maybe with a 3060 8GB you get normally around 60fps with somewhat frequent dips and with a 12GB card you get more stable or better results.

So the ps5 is definitely playing at 30fps? The ps5 pro might be stuck at 30fps as well due to it's cpu.

Their engine must be terrible because the visuals for 007 first light are not remotely impressive at all.

So, the Switch 2 version is going to be a dumpster fire, isn't it?

That sucks, I was looking forward to some portable 007.

minimum GPU is a GTX1660.
so it will be fine (although the 1660 is a bit more powerful than the Switch 2 GPU in raw raster performance)
